I think it's all about quality if you can make one high quality video a week that's absolutely perfect! Don't stretch yourself out too thin! Even though it wasn't the plan taking a big break helped because now I have 100s of new videos ideas I've collected over the years. I feel comfortable that I won't run out of new ideas and finally have the time to create the videos!
Oh man it’s so good to see you guys back but I hate seeing you go. Been watching these tutorials since 2014 and I still think this is one of the best DIY warhammer channels out there!
If you want cheap, cheap, CHEAP water effects use gorilla glue clear. Also works for blood and chemical pools if you paint under the pool with a color (red, green) then use the glue.
is there some kind of ink i could use instead of the one you are using. I don't think I will need alot unless you think i could use the whole thing. I love this btw and I am going to use this for my CIS army for star wars legion
It's some good stuff! What I like about it the most is basing your whole army in this style wouldn't break the bank compared to using either resin trees or sculpting out of greenstuff/milliput.
My wife says you sinister swamp bases aren’t sinister enough for her taste. [update] After watching the whole video she says she doesn’t mind the base, it’s just not sinister.
Exactly what I needed !! Thanks a bunch
Wanting to combine some of this with other ideas (AK Wet Terrain, water effects, Vallejo Still Water) to get a kinda verdant swamp base.
Thanks Jay, I am going to apply this technique on my sylvaneth to complete my first warcry warband.
Going use this for my Battletech minis, Ill post it to instagram when done!
Awesome bases as always. I do love watching you basing videos they always end up with so much feeling. Great 👍
Thanks so much! We have more on the way also!!! :)
EonsOfBattle Great, I still watch your old basing videos. They are a constant source of inspiration for my bases.
@@simonmears4073 That's awesome!! I'm glad to hear that!
Excellent video. Nice to see you back again. 👍😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks! It's good to be back! More videos to come!
Why do you sometimes choose to put PVA into the texture paste mix and sometimes not?
Nice work, man. Glad to see your channel active again

EonsOfBattle I will be sure to tune in!
You can use UV resin to create a wet look puddle
Very interesting technique. Do you have any issues with the clay not being sturdy enough?

This is 100% doable, even the sculpting, nice!
I would've used a more desaturated green for the moss though.
Thanks for watching! Maybe even a variety of greens would be nice? It all depends on how it looks with the models! :)
amazing stuff. Can you link what kind of texture paste have you been using, please?
We use DAP DryDex spackle, fine grain sand and brown ink stirred together to make the paste!
Hey! I know I am late to the party, but did you dry the twigs in the oven or something or did you just put them on the bases?
The sponge really looks like real “swamp plants”
Really awesome swamp basing tutorial, my man! It looks great!

Thanks so much! :)
Awesome. It never occurred to me to use that air dry clay.

can I use wall putty or no?
Nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
Well, I know how I'll be basing my Kruelboyz
Fo-lee-uj. That’s how you pronounce that words
what do you think you're doing in my swamp?
My wife says you sinister swamp bases aren’t sinister enough for her taste.
