  • Charging your battery fast. This tutorial will explain my solution of a battery charger using a cheap power supply from Amazon. With XT60 connectors you will be enabled to connect a lot of different connectors and cables to the power supply. You can use more powerful cheap power supplies and charge your batteries in a very short time.

    How can remove the small ac currents that come along with the DC from the power supply. I realised that when i put the phase tester i saw some ac currents. If not removed won't they dammage the charge regulator

    I did this ones but the power supply didn't have a max current limiter so it just turned it of and on every second or so but if you go through the charge controller you can probably set the current

    How's it going guys im a boilermaker by trade im kinda interested in all Handy work im learning about electricity now so please brake it down for me can i charge a 12v battery will this led power supply

    I have a 0-9v charger that the higher the voltage the more amps can I use that only for the bulk stage of charging? Sayset to 6v and monitor battery when it hits 3.8 stop

      thats the opposite of how it works usually. Are you sure more voltage gives you more amperage? That would increase the power

    hello sir, i got a question for u,
    i just fried 3 happymodel 6 in 1 1s chargers using 360w 24v input 15amps power supply,
    i checked all the wiring on power supply they are good,
    i wanna know why these multi 6in1 1s chargers fried please,
    i did use my cordless vacuum's power adapter which has 25v input and 0.8amp rating to power one of these happy model 6in1 1s chargers and it worked fine??
    what i did wrong please please.
    thankyou.

      You need a blocking diode from power supply to battery.

    Please be careful with that contraption. Your hand came very close to the exposed mains connections when you were tilting it to show us the voltage meter. I would make something to cover the connections.

    Can I use this to charge a car battery?

    • @tobisreallifeskillswithtobi

      You should be able to charge your car battery as well. It is always better so slowly charge the battery.

    What is the current rating of the charge controller?
    Should the power supply rated current be greater than the mppt amp rating

    • @tobisreallifeskillswithtobi
      @tobisreallifeskillswithtobi  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This power supply can deliver up to 20A. Battery Charger and MPPT Charge controller can work independent from their current rating.

    Can you not just connect it straight to the battery?

    • @tobisreallifeskillswithtobi
      @tobisreallifeskillswithtobi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could but i don't want it always connected to the battery since my main purpose is to use solar energy and not energy out of the grid

    You need to buy the version with current control. It's about $15 more or so. When you attach a power supply that has no current limiting it is just the resistance of your cabling and the battery itself controlling the current flow. If you have a low IR battery and normal wiring (12AWG to 16AWG) you are going to blow up your power supply. The battery will say "FEED ME ALL YOU GOT BABY" and these Chinese power supplies are never good for their rating. NEVER. I have the version that is 0-48V 0-10A and I never go above 8A because the fan is in full whining like crazy and it gets hot.
    The only way you can make this power supply safe is to put a power resistor in series with the load so that you increase the resistance enough to be in an acceptable range. You have to do the math on that. Or you could use very thin wires but we all know the problem with that. Another option would be to use a VERY long cable like several feet might be enough to add enough resistance to prevent the power supply from sending out more than 20A. All these methods at the end of the day just aren't worth it. You get no real control of how much charge current you are putting into your batteries so you can't charge small batteries and the lower the SOC the higher the current....the problem with that is a battery discharged to its lower areas of SOC like under 10% should be SLOWLY charged until the voltage has gone up some. So if you happen to discharge a 3.6V lithium ion down to 2.5V. it is recommended to charge at 0.1C max preferably 0.05C and you'd be out of luck with this power supply unless your battery is over 100Ah
    Here's a 1000W version. You can get them for $100 on aliexpress in any voltage you want. Voltage x amperage will equal 1000W so whatever votlage you choose dictates your current.

    Here's a cheaper 1000W I'd say this is a good price

    Here's the 480W version on the Drok site SUPER CHEAP. Its only a $15 difference from the one with no current control so buy this one
