Silent Planet is a metal core band that specifically writes about the teachings of God and Christianity along with their own struggles of living. They also have some songs talking about how we should take better care of earth. All in all great band that had some crazy lady rant about how they aren't true 'Christians'.
Sounds like another satanic panic. Although the world has been more openly satanic lately, not everything in the world is satanic, otherwise in my opinion that would be like her saying that the devil created the world, which is straight blasphemy.
the controversy was someone who was a very devout Christian made a long video essay about the band being anti-Christian and how people should stay away from them. They aren't anti-christian but aren't Christian either
John 7:24 “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." The Bible specifically instructs us to judge righteously. We do not hate, it is actually more loving to point out to somebody their faults so that they can improve. It hurts, but it always works out better in the end. I've learned a lot of hard, painful lessons in my life and I thank God for all of them.@@Magdalena8008s
This is hilarious. I'm just now seeing this, but I was sitting in the passenger's seat while he was filming this interview. That's my suitcase in the back seat.
This was one of the most random podcast interview situations that I have ever had because who does one while driving, picking up a friend from the airport (if I remember that correctly). And when Garrett showed you at the end of the episode, it threw me off in the best way possible. I still remember Garrett told me to bring you onto the podcast and I completely spaced on it as life got kinda hectic after recording that one. Shoot me an email kevin@mysongoftheday.com if you wanna have a go on the podcast, and not just sit in the passenger seat
Man, that sounds so out there that it’s wild someone in that kind of bubble is even aware of Silent Planet or wouldn’t simply think “all heavy music is satanic inherently anyway” or whatever.
there was a video online around august 2022 of some woman waring people of silent planet and bringing in a lot of christian background into it. I unfortunately cannot find the link for it right now
@@ladyroyal8738 absolutely. When it comes to rock and metal, Garrett's lyrics are so well thought out that there are few, if any, that can touch that kind of mastery
The symbol of the album everything was sound, she said it had some kind of anti religious symbol, or the history of what was shown was bad. Or atleast that’s what I gathered from the video
I think she took down the videos because I have not been able to find them since I posted this one. But when it comes to people in general, I have been hard pressed to find someone more caring and genuine in the music scene than Garrett
"Philosophy is the devil"
Christian scholars from the last 2000 years would like to know your location*
I saw that video too and thought that woman had no idea what kind of ideological bubble she's in.
I actually think the woman made a part 4 to the video recently.
@@chordprogressionpodcastpart 4? Sounds like she doesn’t wanna admit she wrong 😂😂😂
Stoicism is the devil, we must condition ourselves to cry and complain over anything and everything
These guys are progressive christians anyway….
this guy is California
If anyone says CS Lewis is the devil…… that is a huge red flag. He was the best Christian author of the 1900s.
I am so confused about everything related to this video

So is Silent Planet a christian band? Is that what the whole controversy is?

Like this vid to get it to 666. Its at 665 rn
yo did it make it there yet?
Isnt Garrett Christian?
he claims to be. but he's a progressive Christian. real Christians are neither super left or super right. and garrett is clearly super left.
I thought he was too lol
He may not be doing occult, but he is NOT a reliable person to look up to. He is totally okay with homosexuality.
Oh no. Somsome who doesn't judge or hate somsome for a thing! How dare he be a reasonable person!
True

And there it is. The "love thy neighbour" mask slips and we see the true colour of your heart.
Fundamental Christians and ppl who worship ancient myths are so cringe 😂
And yet here you are.
As a practicing Christian, that woman is flawed and her opinion ignorant.
Keep doing you my guy.
