Cracking video. Can I please ask, how tall is your kid? My daughter is really tall for her age and has long legs, wondering if she would be too cramped up on it. If you are worried about the threaded bar, could you just cut a section of hose pipe to fit and just slide the bar through it?
I‘m also planning to buy one. But i‘m affraid of my carbon frame. One point are the forces, the other point is scratching my frame. Do you disassemble it after each ride for cleaning?
I've got an aluminum frame, so not so worried. On a carbon road bike definitely wouldn't use the seat, but a carbon mnt bike likely tubes more robust to side loading
@@henrikjansson7117 as i wrote i was very afraid and i decided to do „try and error“. I guess such carbon frames (yt capra 2018) are more robust then we are thinking. I needed to put more force on the quick clamp because the seat moved down. (Pivot were the lower contact points to the frame). I also need to mention that i have some scratches on my top tube that increased my thoughts. So....don‘t worry. Try it and do it. The „more, more, more“ after the trail by my child is wonderful.
Hey David! This really depends on the adult rider's fitness, the kid's size, and the trails you're riding on. For the parent in this video they were able to ride with their kid until about 5 years old and about 35-40lbs. They regularly would climb 500-1500ft of elevation and rides between 5-15 miles. Now, they are using a tow setup for bigger climbs and rides. His little brother is getting close to being ready to use the Kid's Ride Shotgun seat. Hope that helps!
I run the maxxis aggressor tire on the rear same as you but i noticed you have it on backwards. Anyway looking to give the seat a go! thanks!
I just ordered one so my 2 year old can ride with me. I’m more excited than he is lol
A little Ripper on a Ripmo. Love it!
I'm not even a parent, but that is AWESOME!

I was thinking the same did you buy and try this ? good idea in the hose too!
Might be too late but I bought one for my nearly 2 year old. My 5 year old tried it out first though and no space issues. Awesome product!
Do they scratch the frame of the bike, at all? Thanks.
Tested it today first time.. tomorrow forest time :D
Hey, awesome video! Does it fit okay on a dirt jumper's smaller frame?
Great review, proper MTB rider...DON'T SCRATCH THE BIKE.

Put clear frame protection tape where it will contact the frame. No issues
@@thechadfords thanks for your reply. I already got it ;)
@@thechadfords How do you think about the load the carbon fiber frame is exposed to where the saddle is located? Is not the frame fragile there?

How long is this enjoyable without an e-bike?

@@jensonusabicycles That does help, thanks!
I put 3M helicopter tape on my frame, rather than trying to keep clean to avoid damage. Awesome riding with my daughter
That's a great recommendation!
So awesome Jenson USA 🤟
