Nice work, Kate! I'm a long-time user of DXO Photolab, but am just now starting to play with Color Efex. Super helpful!

    Hi, Kate.
    Thank you for this video.
It has been a long time since I used Nik.
That was in the days when Nik was still for nothing.
And now there have been quite a few changes in the program.
So I am very happy with your help so that I can use this fantastic program in the right way again.
    Kind regards from the Netherlands,
    Antoine.

Hi Kate could you explain a little further on how to remove effect with control effect? I understand I hold down the option key but don’t see where the negative pte is available to remove some of effect.

Hi! It’s kinda difficult to explain in a message. Check out this video that I dedicated to control points. Master Nik Software Control Points in 20 Minutes!

You're so welcome! Nik is an amazing software suite and Color Efex is one of my most used programs outside of Adobe. 😊 Have fun!

Kate: Just saw your video. That's the first time I've seen anyone be able to add a filter to the stack using one of the filter's presets, without replacing the whole filter stack. Are you using a key modifier or something? This is something that has always bothered me about using NIK. How did you do that? The plus sign only gives you the standard version of the filter.

I think as long as you open the presets of a filter and click on the preset itself, it auto adds the look without hitting the + sign. I’ll have to look into it later as I’m not at my desk but that’s a great question. ☺️
