I am now working on my masters in criminal psychology. Currently, I am studying two murderers that could potentially be the same person....Zodiac and BTK. They have very striking similarities that a far too numerous to list here. If anyone doubts this or is interested...research it. The Zodiac Killer might be alive and in prison right now (Dennis Rader).

The movie really goes off the tracks of truth. Alexander Solonik was a very, very scary hitman and possibly the best ever known. He also inspired Grand Theft Auto 4's main character, Niko Bellick.
Kuklinski was a serial confessor, not a serial killing mob hitman. All of the top bosses were asked about him after he made his claims and they literally laughed at investigators.

My school counselor had a chance to talk to the ice man. She couldn't handle 30 seconds talking to him. She described him as someone who had no remorse in his killings. She said he had dead eyes and said he got into her head under 20 seconds. She was in college at the time during the interview. He said these words to her: "You're too soft to handle talking to serial killers. They'll get into your head in seconds. They'll have you convincing yourself to do things. They'll have you question things." Something along those lines I believe. He had her do just those things. She questioned so many things in seconds, and she said she was terrified. The beginning quotes they use are from an awesome doc called the iceman files if anyone is interested. One of the most chilling moments I've ever seen is in it when the interviewer asks him something he doesnt like. Kuklinski just looks the man in the eyes and said "you almost made me angry there" and when asked what he wanted to do he just quietly says "doesnt matter"
