I wish i could say to you, stop being so dramatic. But the fact is i agree 100% and so do so many other people. Apart from Andor everything disney SW has been a massive disappointment to me.
Fuckin A muchacho! Entertainment is a single person experience and we can love or hate a thing for the same or different reasons. Disney wars is trash and Obi broke me (they couldnt even be bothered to research Fallen Order doing the exact same thing at Fortress Inquisitoris 5 years earlier in the timeline (i did enjoy Rogue One)). I watched all the movies (pre sequal), bought the black series, engaged in lore discussions, bought the comics, and now I couldn't give two shits. I don't blame the actors i blame the studio and it's writers. The studios writer/director turnover is embarrassing, KK has ran the studio that printed money with the mere mention of its name into the ground.
With all due respect to Daisy the actress, absolutely *nobody* is interested in Rey, or the character's arc, story, world, etc. The trilogy she was in was like glossy, expensive fan fiction made real - badly written fan fiction, which insulted core legacy characters and trashed the somewhat present promise of the first film. After that, they blew it. Even the Mandalorian showed Disney can screw uo a decent project. At this stage, Andor - which was Amazing - is the last, only hope for Star Wars; LucasFilm has otherwise killed the golden goose.
I gave up on Disney ever doing something right with Star Wars a long time ago. Their management of the IP has been abysmal. Kathleen Kennedy is a walking talking ego that cannot believe there are no fans for her reimagining of the Star Wars universe, and would rather burn it down than let it be remade into what it should be. Disney has never understood the audience for these films or this overall universe.
The only downside to this Rey movie being quietly shelved? Shareem Obaid Chinoy did not enjoy the same humiliating public firing ALL the other first directors of Disney Star Wars movies got.
George Lucas famously gave Disney a layout and his plans for episodes 7, 8, and 9. But they decided to throw those structured story notes out and let J. J. Abrams and Rian Johnson literally do whatever they want.
George was a world builder and he knew it. He tried *hard* to get other directors for the prequels because he knew it wasn't his strength. I think he hoped Disney could get the directors so he could be worldbuilder. Iger, of course, is a massive tool.
I can imagine Kathleen Kennedy acts like she is some kind of a god at lucasfilm. Nobody dare challenge any decisions made by her no matter how pathetically bad
I read something somewhere that Steven Knight got frustrated when he realized Lucasfilm and Disney were not actually interested in his Ideas, they just wanted him for his actual "writing" talent,; KK kept sending him notes back because they already had their own direction they wanted to take for the Rey character, but what they were trying to do was steer Knight into writing a solid script, that used all of their ideas instead of his own. This is supposed to be when Steven Knight just walked from the project. If it's true it completely defeats the whole point of hiring a talented writer for a new film you intend to make. Kathleen Kennedy is not a "writer" but she just wants EVERY *Talented Individual* she manages to hire, to basically just use their talent (NOT their Ideas!) to simply write specifically what she wants. I believe Knights Ideas were overall, to actually bring some real Nuance and "Flaws" to the character of Rey, and KK and Disney were like heck NO to that, because Rey is Disney & Kennedy's love-child, their "Disney Princess". The ONLY Individuals Disney and Kathy Kennedy will allow to express their *Vision* are basically the individuals who share the Exact same Politics, ideology and (woke) mentality as Disney and this whole *Intersectional Feminist* Culture that's been infecting Hollywood since around 2016.
Normally it should be no problem for an author to take someone elses ideas and make them into something readable or watchable. Ghostwriters are doing this very often. But sometimes the ideas might be, let's say, weird or just not usable.
@@fiktivhistoriker345 Ghostwriters are credited as secondary as in: "with" or "as told to" by the primary. Proper credits would be something like "Scriptwriter: Kathleen Kennedy with Steven Knight".
Yeah, this has been Kennedy's M.O. for a long time regarding Star Wars. Recall that there were reports of her having it out with writers & directors going as far back as at least Rogue One. The creatives on that one were pummeled with demands for major changes but still managed to keep some of their original story in it. Other films, such as Solo IIRC, was even worse. There were people quitting or being fired due to what Disney/KK often called, "creative differences" and more rumors of it being a regular issue with others. People were hired to write/direct SW movies only to find out they were essentially being told exactly what to write and how to go about it by the incompetent management who suck at it. Egotistical ideologues micro-managing it all; I'm surprised their business has lasted this long.
Hey, Raiken! Still fighting for the "Kathy's ideas" projection??? 🤣 Sorry... not sorry. This is a long one (but I tried to make most of it easy to read). Expectations lead to disappointment. Jumping to conclusions leads to misinterpretation. This is for the People Who *Don't* Love Disney Star Wars. Read this very carefully. You'll know why at the end. They don't understand George's vision. They probably never will. _Some Fans_ understand it. That's why half the people online love the sequels and most of the stuff that's been done under Disney. The other half had other expectations, and I'm not blaming them on the EU, but enough people know enough about them to think there is another way.... George trained Dave and his team well. Love it as much as I do, and I know the EU... I don't have a problem with fantasy, but I read it like one... a different one than George would've told. I didn't carry those expectations, ever. I realized why shortly after TLJ. I enjoyed the movies, because I knew Lucasfilm would use his ideas... why wouldn't they? That's the reason he chose them to tell his stories, but I didn't understand them and something wasn't sitting well with me... Rian did a great job with misdirection, but he didn't clear the ambiguity (Then again, neither did George, ever -- we had to wait for him to sell it to Disney to get him to write *The Clone Wars* story) BUT then I got online and saw "they threw his treatments in the trash." That didn't sit well with me either. I didn't know what to believe. I fell to the dark side. My journey wasn't as long or deep as Anakin's or Ben's though. I have the same problem he has with the EU. The writers turned it into a wet dream for Luke Skywalker. That's so far from George's vision. When he realized they'd created these expectations for the fandom, that's when he decided to sell Lucasfilm. That was just the icing on the cake. The real reason is family. He already blew it once. He won't make that mistake again, 'cause he's also 80... 70 at the time, and he knew he didn't have much more time, especially if he had heart problems like the first time he directed his own films. He didn't even know if he could've made it through that... He wrote a whole arc for his decision to sell the stories he would tell, whether you liked them or not to Disney. It's that one about Cut. Cut Lawquane... you've seen that, right? I am Lucas... or mix the letters up and you get Saleucami. The funniest thing is, it's not even about Luke. It's about *The Chosen One* being his father. It's all about Anakin. They don't seem to understand that it's still Lucasfilm and their story group. And higher-ups check the stories other writers do for films, and if it's too far outside of George's vision, it's not done. In his treatments, *Luke is still isolated from the rest of the galaxy and [Rey] is described as "going up the river to find General Kurtz for training."* He didn't explain why Luke left everyone behind. Michael Arndt didn't give any reasons. He's the one who helped George rewrite the 90s version Star Wars Theory read to his subscribers. People will try to convince you that "Disney ruined Luke so people would like Rey." That's not the case, that's just what Rian wanted you to think, at first, because it was shocking and a huge misdirect. What actually happened has never been realized yet, but go back and watch them (I know. I know... people say they'll never watch them again, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard) and watch the context clues. Luke never tried to kill his sister's baby. He never even thought about it. That's just what he saw in Ben's eyes when he woke up, and it became his reality more than all the thoughts that rushed through his mind -- if they got through to his nephew.. People -will try to- have already convinced many of the fandom that Disney threw his treatments in the trash. Maybe they'll use them to explain how Anakin could return to the Living Force... I could be wrong, but we'll see. Maybe they'll use it more than once and integrate it into the story everywhere. Dave and Jon probably already have it figured out. One thing's for sure. Kathy's a woman of her word, she knows how to do her job. She's been doing it for over 40 years. Rian: "What don't they know that I think they should know?" George just told the EU fans to f--k off... just as he did with the prequels and some of you love them. If it's what I think it is, that may change most people's perspective of the ST altogether. not a surprise,LucasFilms is a mess, and we all know who the main culprit is,sorta like the Kenobi rewrites(which the original screenwriter suggested should be a theatrical trilogy)🤔
Kathleen Kennedy would like me to tell you that you are clueless, She says that she is the greatest producer who ever lived...think of it, Raiders, Gremlins, Jurassic Park, where would these classics be without the greatest coffee girl who ever lived? Star Wars has been kidnapped and won't be returned until KK (are her minions) are extinguished.
Judging from the latest dross from Lucasfilm (The Acolyte), Stephen Knights probably wasn't 'woman-centered' enough, and probably didn't feature enough lesbianism and man-hate to suit Kathleen Kennedy. Maybe the Rape Enabler, former henchperson for Harvey Weinstein, Leslye Headland, should write it!
Its creativity by a collective of activists who want to remake the world into their own image. Hiring an activist director who boasts of enjoying making men nervous and upset for a project like star wars is an example of this creative rot.
Intellectual property rights system should be abolished, unless its equipment or whatever else we need to ensure its safe for usage, all ideas should not owned or controlled.
Think about what the current system includes: corporations can buy, sell, and trade ideas that were paid for decades prior and make no improvement on them and prevent anyone else from doing the same. These ideas have become part of the public consciousness and in many instances only live on due to that fact. They are defacto public domain properties yet we have to put up with the intellectual property rights system. Its disgusting.
Supposedly K.K. is an accomplished producer. If she wants to "go out with a win" she should put her money where her mouth is and produce it herself. Personally I think she's a fraud, only having her name attached to other people work

There is no Rey Skywalker, only PALPATINE.
There is no Palpatine, only Kennedy.
Hollywood has never treated great writers with the respect they deserve -- unless they are also the producer.
The politics behind the scenes in Lucasfilm take all the credibility from any Star Wars movie release. As for Daisy, $15,000,000 buys her enthusiasm.

The need a culture shift…and an Expanded Universe narrative. Rey Palpatine just doesn’t work.
Actually, it is Rey Kennedy.
Daisy will be hobbling out on a walker when Dizney does another Kennedy "the farce is feminist" movie.
Colour me shocked.
Whoa! That's a great idea!
_Lucasfilm will be on top of it in the morning._ 🙄🤨
Damon Lindelof is one of the worst hacks out there. He is NOT a good writer.
You sound more communist than Disney leftists bruh
Supposedly K.K. is an accomplished producer. If she wants to "go out with a win" she should put her money where her mouth is and produce it herself. Personally I think she's a fraud, only having her name attached to other people work
It looks like the reylos haad notifications on for this and just pressed dislike as soon as video dropped, strange. Nerd cookies looks like some bad faith group are watching you
Gavin, genuine question.... Where can i see the dislikes?
Too many activists in the kitchen spoiling the soup
I can fix Lucasfilm and I’d prefer that movies using my stories start hitting theaters by 2027. Have Hope fans!
Thanks Elaine
