    What a cracking little washer. Thanks for posting

    I have the ge version. It’s still in the box. It only has one knob. I’m guessing it only does cold loads

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's cool! Nope, it doesn't do cold loads only, but it connects to a kitchen faucet where you can choose the temperature.
      Can you email me some pictures of it? Where are you located?

      Thanks for the comment but you're wrong. This impeller not only spins them around, it actually has a great rollover.

    I had one similar to this branded GE. It was about double the capacity I seem to remember. Great machine, wish I had one now!

    My friend had this washer many years ago with the GE name on it and it didn’t have the water selection button other than that it was the same washer in harvest gold. I did many loads of laundry in it for him it worked fine. Even made the same sounds, boy does that bring me back to another time in my life. What a great find enjoy it!

    Never knew they made a impeller model so long ago - nice machine👍 Where did you find this?

  • @stevelangland3924
    @stevelangland3924 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I see this unit is connected with both hoses to water lines so it's semi portable and uses the temperature selection knob. If hooked to the sink with a single hose your faucet would control your water temperature

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. It gives the option to connect to a sink, as a portable washer or, if you prefer, you can connect it to regular washer hookups and two hoses.

  • @stevelangland3924
    @stevelangland3924 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hoover and Maytag used U shaped tubs and had one or two impellers on the back wall of the machine and they you manually put the clothes in a separate spin dryer. The GE works much better!

    Que Impeller pequenininho. Quantos Kg? Eita a água quase não ta quente né? kkkkk

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sim, o impeller dela é minúsculo, lembra aqueles tanquinhos dos anos 80. A água está a 84 graus, o limite do meu boiler. aos 85 graus estoura a valvula de alívio de emergência e corta a água.

    This is how you call portable but not small enough for camping.

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Portable doesn't mean for camping. Portable means that the user can move it next to a sink, connect it temporarily and after use store it in a closet or elsewhere. That's the technical definition and understanding of what a portable washing machine is.

    • @cjpwolf2436
      @cjpwolf2436 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thomfoz I know. But there is non-powered washing machines but they could of added agitators just like the 2.5-5 Gallon Salad Spiner with the thing in the middle.

  • @1911beauty

    Notice how you didn't have to place the clothes around the impeller plate. You just drop them in and. Add detergent. Boy are we dumb smart modern old fashioned people today

    How much water is being used for such a small amount of washing shocking!

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not shocking. this washer is actually quite efficient for the size. The load for this demonstration video (a test load, not actual clothes) that wasn't a full load and actually should've been washed in low water level.

    Not the best machine

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Indeed, not the best. But 50 years after the manufacturing date it's still doing a fairly good job. Actually it's quite impressive.

    That’s not even remotely close to enough soap especially with a cheap brand such as xtra.

    • @thomfoz
      @thomfoz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know... but why waste detergent (even being a cheap crap as Xtra) for test loads in a wash that was just to demonstrate the washer?
