OMG! I love automatic washers! You have some of the most gorgeous machines. That must be heaven to walk around knowing they're all yours! My mom had a Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer. I think hers was a 1966 or'67 model. It had the black bakelite agitator and the buttons where smaller. Her's also had the red "Magic-Clean Filter" light on it. For someone like me, seeing all those machines and seeing what has happened to american machines is enough to make a person like me almost cry.
Mr. Kevin love your washer videos I for a long time thought I had a disorder cause I love appliances. I still remember my grandmother's harvest gold hotpoint washer and dryer set. Thank you so much for your videos.
I thought I had a disorder too. As a kid (3 or 4 years old), I would sit for hours watching our Westinghouse go around and watching the soap suds splash on the front, and slide down. I now use these images to lull myself to sleep at night, so soothing.
Wow, washing machines! I haven't seen one in years (considering all you can buy nowadays is CRAP) I would love a vintage washer. Kevin, your washers are BEAUTIFUL! Try to get your hands on a circa 1959 Kelvinator! Those were SWEET!
To summarize everything in this collection I have put on my list of washing machines I mentally absolutely need to have, here's the list. 1. Maytag A700 2. Bendix WEG-H Gyromatic(listed as the Magic Heater washer in this video, Swestoyz did a video on that machine and BY JOVE it's attractive) 3. Stacked Westinghouse(preferably the Tall Tumbler that Eddy1210 has) 4. Maytag A806 5. GE Filter-Flo(one from 1958 of which Swestoyz filmed, one from the 60's-70's of which is shown here, and probably another one from a later time or something) 6. 1955 Frigidaire WV-65 Unimatic(I'll take ALL the freaking Unimatics and Pulsamatics regardless of how rare the Pulsamatics and the early 1947 - 1948 Unimatic WJ-60/WK-60 machines are) 7. Frigidaire 1-18 Possible machines may also include the Calypso and the Maytag A50. At the moment I own 2 vintage machines, a Miele W906 from the 1990's(serial number 33600196 if any Miele serial number experts can help date mine) and a Hoovermatic 3174 from 1959 which supposedly only had 1 owner before me. At the moment it's a WIP machine. Other than that though, nobody knew how to much machines quite like how the Americans did. Personally, I think the American washing machines of their days were more true to their eras than any other machines literally, and they looked richer and much more stylish than what all other countries produced despite I'm british. Damn want american machines I do. Especially the Bendix Gryomatic WEG-H, the Maytags and the GM Frigidaires.
thank you Kevin for sharing your video with us. Nice collection. All these machines were made in America. Now, its oversea's. I was hoping to see my mom's 1970's whirlpool washer. She wished she kept it, but the clutch when out in 1990-1993. Her maytag transmission broke after 6 years of ownership.
I LOVE WOO-POOL machines. (Whirlpool and Kenmore belt drives 1948-1985) I call them that because they make a distinct woo woo sound! Grew up with those!
Wow, look at the style and quality in those babies! The new washers they build today aren't half the machines these are that you have! I'd be in Heaven, here. My favorite one is the GE filter-flo, and also the golden Super Roto Swirl agitator in the old Kenmore washers. I wish GE would bring the filter-flo back. I just wish they'd start building applicances with superior quality again, period, instead of this fragile, plastic junk. Great video, and keep posting and collecting old washers!
Do you really have all those washing machines? Looks like heaven to me. When I was a little shaver, my grandad used to take me to the laundromat just so I could be there. The smell of bleach and Tide intoxicated me. My parents used to go to Sears and Roebuck, leave me where they had the washers. They would go shopping. And guess where I was? Just where they had left me.
I do like all the ones with the lights in the control panels never seen any like that. i wish i could have ones like the first set u showed or the first light up sets that are either a tanish color or greenish. nice find of everything u have. keep up the awesome work
Wow, you do not see many of those types of washer anymore. I seen one in a coin laundromat but it was not working. Those are in great shape too. Great video.
Any washing machine manufactured after 2010 (with the hundreds of confusing idiot buttons) will only last you but a few years. There are tons of videos of washers from the 1970's still working. That has to tell you something. I am glad I just bought a 1999 Kenmore washer. I LOVE it.
I'd love to have a vintage/working washer and dryer because the machines they make today are crap! They old ones were beautiful too. They make it far too difficult to fix yourself. Besides ebay, what are some other sources?
I've always envied guys like you that have the time, money and space to find these old machines and restore them. You've done a beautiful job. The machines they make these days are absolute crap. I'd like to see a video of that KitchenAid Superba dishwasher you have in the back. The best dishwasher ever made. Of course that's my opinion. You know what they say about opinions. LOL
OMG! I remember seeing a laundry center back in the early 80s, way before they became popular in the 90s. I peeked inside the washer and it had a weird-looking agitator that was all one piece with the basket. It was the first time I saw that. I swear that harvest gold one you have must be that. The top of the agitator looks like the one I remember. Is it all one piece with the tub? I always wondered how that could work, effectively.
Every old washer fanatic loves whirlpool. I did them but I also did Kelvinators, I've yet to see one 73 - 79 "Franklin built" model on any old washer site.
I remember having a washer repaire man come to my grandmas house and fix the washer no such thing now parts cost so much and they are just cheaply put together might as well buy another sad so many almost new washers get junked now as a new wife and mom back in 80s I was so glad to have a washer like one of those it lasted a long time
Wow... My parents has the blue Kenmore washer andd ryer (but in "coppertone") and the dryer lasted well into the 1990s, and my aunt had the pink washer-dryer combo.
I am so jealous of all of those beautiful machines - they're prestine! Would have been nice to see at least one of the old Speed Queens. Who's the guy that walked into the shot with a cold beer in his hand? I wanna come to your house for laundry day from now on !!!!!!!!!
What are the blue washer and dryer at 0.22. My Mom had that dryer. I remember staring at the glowing dials in the darkness of the basement as a we child: It scared the piss out of me, for some reason. It also lasted forever, considering the laundry it did for a family of 6, including 3 very active boys...I think she got rid of it in 95?
I love it! The dryer shown at 1:40, its a Kenmore, right? My mother used to have that dryer, and my grandparents before her. It worked from the day it was new until 2003 when we replaced it with my grandparents other machine, another Kenmore from the early 80's. That thing was an unstoppable workhorse. We bought a new Kenmore Elite pair 2 years ago and I'm already about to scrap the washer. I guess they just don't build things like they used to, do they? You have a very cool collection. Kudos!
4:28 What brand and model washer is that? ive been looking for that type of agitator washer for ages! my grandparents had one of those washer and a GE Filter Flo
@revvinkev Mea Culpa... I stand corrected TURQUOISE. Thank you for answering a huge puzzlement. That's the dryer I grew up with: what mom had, but in brown.
Well, NOTHING is like a Kelvinator... but I meant the Nugulation (sp)? Wouldn't you describe the motion of the Kelvinator (MAGIC MINUTE!) agitator as nugulation?
Just wondering, how did you find a Maytag Neptune like the one in the background at 0:23? I want one really bad but I am unsure about the reliablilty and such.
Hey, szymonrules (AW) and I would like to request a video overview of hte kenmore electroinic calypso washer, as well as I wanted to know whats the dryer at 4:46?!
Its the only way to wash clothes by using these types of machines with the roll over action. I LIKE MY MID 80S MAYTAG!!! and as long as it works it stays put.
That's really cool. Id consider going to this laundromat. They dont make them like they used too. How fast does your electric meter go with all those dryers? Lol
Yes the GE filter-flo's are really neat and do and EXCELLENT of lint & hair removal. However, due to their outer and inner tub design (lots of space between them) they use a lot more water than all other brands of the time.
Is your "washer museum' located in your home or in a large building? With all of them running at the same time, it would require a commercial grade electrical connection like a coin laundry.
The modern digital ones just look so boring next to the vintage designs...so much cheap white plastic. What are the beautiful AVOCADO (see, I'm learning) and faux bois machines at 40-45? I like the control panel and the lighted panel underneath.
I bet someone has already done that and folks flock to remember the good old days and maybe just come without anything to wash. Just watch others wash and listen to all of funny sounds the machines make.
I have a washing machine from 1994 those were some good times. Thanks for keeping those great antiques in such fine condition! Thumbs up.

Amazing collection!!! I would love to spend all day there... Great Job!!!
Cool collection of vintage machines!
What a beautiful collection 🤗

What can I say, but way too cool! I like to see the back panels with all the settings and knobs. it's kind of like an automobile dashboard to me.
I LOVE WOO-POOL machines. (Whirlpool and Kenmore belt drives 1948-1985) I call them that because they make a distinct woo woo sound! Grew up with those!
Mark Bielaga
Yes. Whirlpool/Kenmore and Maytags are my all time faves. I wouldn't turn my nose up at any classic washer though.
Yeah, I like the RCA Whirlpools that have the brush filter where the water circulates through them and the chrome whirlpool agitator top.
Bravo! What a collection!!

wow wow wow. greets from germany. really cool and nice washers and dryer´s!

This is a great collection of washers and dryer. Really enjoyed the video.

The Kenmore washer on number 457 has excellent rollover, good job whomever loaded it.
Wow, you do not see many of those types of washer anymore. I seen one in a coin laundromat but it was not working. Those are in great shape too. Great video.
This is amazing! I want that portable GE!!
+Robert NYC So do I! When I was a kid we had the model that followed the one seen here, until a few months later the pump gave out.
Oh Fab collection, not had the pleasure yet !!
I love the Calypso and the Catalyst.
Very Cool! Id enjoy going to a laundromat like this!
Any washing machine manufactured after 2010 (with the hundreds of confusing idiot buttons) will only last you but a few years. There are tons of videos of washers from the 1970's still working. That has to tell you something. I am glad I just bought a 1999 Kenmore washer. I LOVE it.
I love the blue maytags the colors wow

nice vintage laundromat :)

Those machines Will be working when these modern day machines are long gone.
I would love to have that laundrymat.
love all your washer like the maytags the best
I am glad you are eco friendly by refurbishing these washers and dryers.
OMG! I remember seeing a laundry center back in the early 80s, way before they became popular in the 90s. Man, back in the 80's I remember selling a bunch of these, now you can't find any of them anymore. Good video and nice shop.
I really like your garage, brings back a lot of memories of when I was in business. Thank you for making this video brother !
MrMarkntime I know these people go to much into technology for just cleaning clothes
3:35 I've never seen an agitator like that
Every old washer fanatic loves whirlpool. I did them but I also did Kelvinators, I've yet to see one 73 - 79 "Franklin built" model on any old washer site.
No classic washer collection can be complete without one from either Kenmore or Whirlpool. They dominated the market for years.
I remember having a washer repaire man come to my grandmas house and fix the washer no such thing now parts cost so much and they are just cheaply put together might as well buy another sad so many almost new washers get junked now as a new wife and mom back in 80s I was so glad to have a washer like one of those it lasted a long time
Amazing collection. Do you ever have open house for tours? :-)
Wow... My parents has the blue Kenmore washer andd ryer (but in "coppertone") and the dryer lasted well into the 1990s, and my aunt had the pink washer-dryer combo.
really really really great!!1 I can obly wash in 5 washers same time @ my place
Which ones are your all time favorites. I used to have a Hoover spin Matic. Best machine ever
There all nice washers and dryers! they are way better then the new washers.
I would feel like I'm in washing machine Heaven if I was there.
Ok Thanks! I enjoy all of your vids!
The 1950 Westinghouse that requires bolting down at 0:35 is quite a find, with its most unusual design!
I can almost smell the detergent!
Great memories
Meanwhile, in 2050, all the oldies are still washing as though they were made yesterday!! :-)))
I am so jealous of all of those beautiful machines - they're prestine! Would have been nice to see at least one of the old Speed Queens. Who's the guy that walked into the shot with a cold beer in his hand? I wanna come to your house for laundry day from now on !!!!!!!!!
dood your way cool and I would like to take tour in person
3:49 is the agitator the spinning tub?
That washer is made by Hitachi for GE, it has an impeller on the bottom, it spins fast and reverses every 30 seconds.
What are the blue washer and dryer at 0.22. My Mom had that dryer. I remember staring at the glowing dials in the darkness of the basement as a we child: It scared the piss out of me, for some reason. You have a very cool collection. Kudos!
4:28 What brand and model washer is that? ive been looking for that type of agitator washer for ages! my grandparents had one of those washer and a GE Filter Flo
1974 Lady Kenmore (Sears).
wonderful, we enjoy such fantastic vids :-)
@revvinkev Mea Culpa... I stand corrected TURQUOISE. Thank you for answering a huge puzzlement. That's the dryer I grew up with: what mom had, but in brown.
COPPERTONE
Which one do you use to do your laundry or is your favorite ?
I’d just love it if I was there
Well, NOTHING is like a Kelvinator... but I meant the Nugulation (sp)? Wouldn't you describe the motion of the Kelvinator (MAGIC MINUTE!) agitator as nugulation?
Nice video of the vintage washers. How many Kenmores do you have? I have only one vintage Kenmore as some saw in my videos. Still running strong.
Those may tags looked familar
What was the yellow golden stacked washing machine called???
I would love to have that laundrymat. Were all those washer hooked up, or did you fill some of them up with a garden hose?
I do have to ask, how much laundry to you generate in a week? or are you doing laundry for family and friends outside the home.
Love this video! Thanks
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Please, what is the Pink machine at .31? Is it a washer/dryer combo? That is a substantial looking machine.
Its the only way to wash clothes by using these types of machines with the roll over action. I LIKE MY MID 80S MAYTAG!!! and as long as it works it stays put.
Yup, I remember that all too well. =)
Its because ladies have always been better, I'm convinced.
whats the washer at 3:50
It's a General Electric portable washer, that was made by Hitachi for them.
I see you have a Calypso (wanna be apex or kelvinator) washer...what's your opinion on it?
That's really cool. Id consider going to this laundromat. They dont make them like they used too. How fast does your electric meter go with all those dryers? Lol
Electric meter? It's not so bad as all the dryers are gas (and it's much less $$ than electric here).
Kevin B I like gas dryers they use way less power
How many washers and dryers did you have running there?
Which one is the washing machine in 3:13?
That is what's known as a Frigidaire Skinny-Mini. 24" wide and has a one piece, plastic "Agi-tub"
Wow beautiful!! But a lot of running Amps of electricity!!
Agitator @ 3:31 is funny
I like the ones that bounce up and down
Is the California water regulations due to drought keeping you from using your machines?
The modern digital ones just look so boring next to the vintage designs...so much cheap white plastic. What are the beautiful AVOCADO (see, I'm learning) and faux bois machines at 40-45? I like the control panel and the lighted panel underneath.
There are three sets, if I'm not mistaking, I'm thinking you're talking about the 1968 Whirlpool set.
This is White Noise Valhalla...do some more!!!
what is the two piercer washing machine
3:11 What is that one? Frigidaire?
Yup!
@grandcarriage1 Beg pardon.... NOT brown but "coppertone". LOL
Amazing
Thanks!
i want to have laundry business with these machines!
Nice! :)
compliments: 5***** vid of your washers :-)
I know one thing laundry day at your house goes by quick.
and pays a pricey water bill. ha
And you call that a laundrymat? No speed queens just kidding , nice maytags.
Cool 😎!!!!
I wonder what your water, gas and electric bills look like.
I bet someone has already done that and folks flock to remember the good old days and maybe just come without anything to wash. Just watch others wash and listen to all of funny sounds the machines make.
really great :-) 5*****
dood your way cool and I would like to take tour in person.
