Hello Jason. I've watched your videos many times over and learn a lot every time, but still get rather muddled regarding colours, as at 84 I'm not computer literate. Do you create swatches of your pastels and pastel pencils, and if so, how do you do it please. Thanks.

Beautiful drawing! Just curious, why not use paper the color you want for the background rather than coloring it in with pastel?

Thank you. I usually paint with oils but find it quite physically tiring as I get older. I have bought some pastels and will see how I go. My gallery dosnt seem to keen on pastel art work. Do you find its a problem compared to oil paintings.

Jason...what is your opinion on golden fine pumice gel as pastel surface? I'm aware you love pastelmat.

Nice pic but in my opinion if it's a tutorial for beginners you should use only one brand of pencils and cheaper ones, most beginners don't have all those pencils and most beginners don't know if a pencil is that color or not. Yes I could do this with what I have but I don't think a lot of beginners could. In about a week or so I am going to join your Patreon and do this pig, I want to do him in other colors though so I hope mine works.

Why is it most of the gallery accept pastels for selling...they want acrylics and oils

You say you use white transfer paper to get your reference photo over onto your drawing... what do you mean? You don't reproduce the contours yourself? Maybe you explain and show this on another video?
(English is not my mother tongue, sorry, and i'd love to learn how to draw with pastels but i've never done it before so i'm a complete ignorant about the subject !)

beautiful art! Go vegan for the animals! Piglets are smacked to death on concrete and have their tails cut off with no pain relief in the pork industry
