I,m eagles fan I gotta say I really do think they tryna rigged up games it breaks my heart do becuase these players risk there future like drew brees situation it so sad 😢
I cannot confirm, nor deny, the possibility of the NFL being r*gged.
🕴🤐🕴
😂 STOP THE FAKE NEWS..WE JUST WANT THE GAME TO BE ..DONT NEED NO FUD OR FAKE NEWS TO MUDDY UP THE GAME. NO REF IS 100% PERFECT. 90% OS OK..NOW MOVE ON
Thank you for shedding light on this situation. Hopefully, it spreads enough awareness that the nfl takes action and changes things.
Did you see the game where the refs intentionally stand in front of the ball so the other ref can move the ball a yard? AZ vs Balt I believe
I hate to say it but I think the poor officiating is linked to the uprising of sports betting.
A lot of people think this
Precisely this…..
Bingo. I Been Saying This For The Last 5 Years
In a sport that has more betting commercial time than actually play time is it really hard to believe that these refs aren't betting.
@@philbierhals6152 they are betting.
Theres no doubt anymore in my mind that the NFL is rigging games. The officiating has hit an all-time low with calls that dont even make sense half the time that often directly influence the outcome of games. The NFL teams up with gambling, and suddenly the officials are objectively worse than they have ever been? Seems too coincidental to me.
Theirs already been a lawsuit by a Jets fan who broung this to court. The court declared that since the NFL is classified as "entertainment" istead of "sports" they can manipulate the game as they see fit. Sportscenter didnt cover this for some odd reason.
Wait til they play that card on the class action gambling lawsuit that we all know will happen at some point. Just a matter of time.
@@MGrant-bj1dcI agree! Then close all betting because rigging on betting is illegal
Some wwe shit
When was this?
@@Kinglore2000 When the Jets fan tried to sue nfl for patriots cheating after spygate. Court ruled basically "You bought a ticket to a game. You saw a game. The end. Ticket never guaranteed it would be a "fair" game."
While digging into this topic further, the moment I found out the NFL doesn't have fulltime referees my jaw dropped! How can a HUGE organization not have fulltime employees like the refs!? WTF
Right! I saw a graphic a few weeks ago stating their names and “real” jobs and was like wtf lol
Fake news😂
@@TechInfo-ul4xr r/confidentlyincorrect
Its true that most of them have other jobs, but their work schedules allow them to travel to and work games around the country.
Because they’re a corporation not an organization. It’s just entertainment.
Between the refs throwing flags on questionable calls or them not throwing the yellow on obvious penalties yes they are rigging games. That and taking the fun out of football.
The problem is someone will say “if it’s rigged how can thousands of people keep the secret”
As if it’s not just the fucking refs who never get penalized, fired or any kind of repercussion for continuously making bad calls.
Works the same in the nba
Las Vegas isn’t letting billions of dollars change hands everyday without control lol.
Lmao @cowboys vs Seahawks
One can’t be that naive to believe it isn’t corrupt when there’s so much gambling on games. Legally 😂
I have stopped watching it’s so blatant i can’t anymore.
Its not jus the refs jackass they have scripts of how outcomes are supposed to look like before the game. That's how projections are made grow up
I hung out with an NBA ref at a bar and he told be that officiating is more about game management than making calls. Missed a call on one end? Do a make up call on the other end. Things getting chippy? Call a bunch of fouls. Blowout? Don't call anything. Superstar? Give them some leeway as they bring the eyes and pay everyone's salary. Pretty certain this is true for the NFL too
As a Saints fan I can not be convinced that the NFL doesnt actively rig games.
Saints Vs Colts, prime example that everyone is involved.
Yeah y'all cheat my Detroit lions and still lost
Hell yeah saints rams championship
they do. Hence, all the sports betting.
@@mikehawk6120 the Detroit lions is the most unfairly penalized team in NFL history
I’ve been watching the NFL for 58 years and, yes, I think it’s obvious this year that they are definitely rigging the game. The NFL is making so much more money because of this. They are probably one of the richest organizations in the world now. They’re working with Vegas and making big bucks.
working with Vegas means the mob
It started a long time ago. Now they are making it obvious. It's a slow transition but the level of play is so bad that you can tell easily that they are really playing for real.
Was just thinking why the op said 56 years watching but only this year it becomes rigged. This is going on probably for those 56 years he has been watching.
As you said. Betting is the news and not the game itself so it looks more onvious now than in past.
@@michaelstrode8924 because this year it was blatant!!
Satanic indeed
They've been doing it for years! Even former NFL players are saying it...especially now with sports betting...its a joke
Right I fucking hate the NFL now man , the NCAA isnt any better now with the transfer portal shits whack AF man
Chiefs win the superbowl with 3 seconds left. For the 3rd ring. With Mahomes passing for exactly 333 yards and at the location 3333 Al Davis Way, Las Vegas . Yeah not rigged, lol
That game 1 Chiefs false start no-calls scenario is impossible to attribute to incompetence. They have a guy watching the line on every play, he was lined up illegally AND starting early ... over and over and over. there is no way I will ever believe they just missed it every time. They chose sides, plain and simple.
they still lost
As a Lions fan, I can attest that the officials have played favorites.
I have argued for years that with today’s camera technology, even game should have a group sitting in a room watching every play and they have the ability to overrule any call on the field.
Brett kollmann exposed this as complete bulshit. Get over yourself.
As a Chiefs fan, yeah, he should of been called for the False Starts. Yet, later in this season, they pretty much, would very closely look at Taylor and even flag him for not even false starts. Overall, the refs need to get their stuff sorted out. Call flags that should be called, and not make "Make up calls". All this makes watching games not so fun.
They should take note from the XFL as far as being transparent on calls and justifications for flags.
Yep should be forced to communicate people should boycott the games that's how bad its been this year
@@eddieguffey3798it's so bad that teams should start walking out and quit playing
I’d like to see a line graph of the rise in legal sports betting as it correlates to bad officiating across sports…I’ll bet they run somewhat parallel. I don’t know if it’s the NFL doing it, or that refs are betting…but maybe their cousins or brothers in law are…
NBA is the same. Bro Las Vegas was made to make money not lose it.
The casinos are rigged so you constantly lose (even on the penny slots) you think they would allow billions of dollars to change hands everyday without any control?
It would be interesting to look at because I also wondering how many more people are paying attention to details because they put money on a parlay and that call just ruined it.
Eventually (probably within the next 2 years or so), they'll throw a ref or 2 under the bus and say they were "bad apples" doing it for gambling reasons, but nothing will change. The league will continue to fix games one way or another and the people will continue to watch ignorantly believing the official story that it was "just a few bad apples".
Just like it happened in the NBA.
it was the mob in years past and so it is again with the legalization of sports gambling. they were the reason for the legislation in the first place.
Players are also involved. You never seen a player fall flat on his face on purpose instead of making an easy tackle. Its super obvious!
I've thought the nfl is rigged for certain teams for several years now.
Just think about the Cowboys And Patriots Think about how the bills went to the Superbowl 4 years In A Row and didn't win either 49ers were undefeated in the Superbowls Until they Played The Chiefs and The Ravens which was Ray Lewis Retirement Year

Ever since Goodell became commissioner.

As a Dolphins fan you gotta mention the Dolphins vs Eagles game were we had 10 penalties and the eagles had 0 and that's including a no call for a facemask on a crucial drive for the Dolphins
For real! How can a bias'ed philadelphia home crew of eagles fans referee the eagles unbiased?
And that's true, the head ref of the eagles/dolphins game is a eagles philly homer who lives an hour away from the stadium and the biggest problem with it?
HES BEEN BANNED FROM BEING A REF BEFORE BECAUSE HES UNETHICAL.
its so fuckin unfuriating. There were plenty more no calls and phantom calls in that game as well, several killing possible scoring drives for miami
Described the Bills Eagles as well.
The NFL has rigging games along, especially since the Merger.
Especially since ESPN came along, the Steelers/Cowboys Super Bowl, Neil O Donnell threw two terrible picks right to Larry Brown, no way was that a coincidence.
The mob basically founded the NFL
There should be some repercussions for these guys. They're ruining so much for other people. They should be held accountable.
NFL teams should just start thinking about permanently forfeit seasons
Honestly, if they are trying to fix it, they would fine refs for bad calls and missed calls. Just like they do the players for hits and such. But if the NFL is behind the actual blown calls like you suggest then there will be nothing to do unless people stop watching....
Do you somehow think the refs are not the NFL? They are their employees and can fix any game if it is at the bequest of the NFL. There is nothing that says they can’t.
@@jld593 I agree with that.
I mean that's what happened in the NHL. Game Seven between the Sharks and Knights years ago. The refs botched their handling of a Roughing call that was actually a freak accident and the league fined and suspended them from the rest of the postseason. Name one time you've seen that in a game like the NFL or NBA.
The NFL is a business. It’s not far fetched to think that they try to get the most popular teams into the playoffs, and the Super Bowl, for ratings. The best way to do that is through the refs since most of the penalties are vague and basically left up to referee discretion.
If this doesn’t change the it will damage the game of football. We need new refs.
People have been saying this for decades. Refs have been ass for longer than most NFL fans have lived
All the good ones retire and are in the booth criticizing the ones in the field. Does that make any sense?
WE DONT NEED ANY REFS ON THE FIELD ANYMORE… THERES ENOUGH CAMERAS TO CALL THE GAME THAT WAY. TOO MANY SCUMMY ENTITLED POS REFS RUINING SPORTS EVERYWHERE!! TIME TO GO ZEBRAS!! 🦓 👋 🦓
The Detroit lions get cheated more than any NFL team in the history of the sport
The refs are doing exactly what they where hired to do, dont fool yourself.
with how much money goes into sports betting and how spreads are used by sports books, there is no doubt in my mind that officiating is at least altering the outcomes of certain games. It's too blatant when certain calls are being made all game but then when it comes down to the most important quarter at the end, all of a sudden flags are being thrown left and right
some say you can literality call a flag on every play
There’s holding on literally every play which is a loop hole they can exploit to nullify plays
The offensive line holds on every play , so the ref can call holding any time they want.
It’s funny when I see spring leagues doing way better with officiating like having sky refs and hearing the refs’ mics on the broadcast. Like how can a multi billion dollar company be this incompetent
😂fake news...just Fud
@@TechInfo-ul4xr You're fake news! SHUT UP!
Not weird considering legal sports betting has become so popular. You just pumped so much money into the sports world that somebody somewhere (Vegas) is gonna make sure things go their way
The NFL has been rigging game since Brady arrived in the NFL. No team got away with more injustice than any other team in pro football history!!
The NFL needs to train and school referees on an ongoing and consistent basis on what the standards are so there can be a firm consensus, rather than just issuing directives.
The nfl trains their refs exactly how they want.
You make these “mistakes” throughout the seasons so it looks normal during big money games.
They don’t care some of these bad calls are made on purpose for the benefit of the “NFL”.
Draft kings, bet mgm, and places like that train the refs.
Need to keep an eye on those early games that affect the betting. If it’s looking like people are going to win huge because of a few upsets in the morning games, they can affect the results of the afternoon/night games to even things out a bit. A LOT of people parlay their bets, so if the Sunday game is heavily bet one way and the betting companies and Vegas have already been hit hard, it’s not too difficult to make a couple calls to balance things out.
yeah, those metrics are beyond me because I don't bet....but clearly they have a system...and you're right, the system adapts as the games are called so the HOUSE always wins.......I can no longer be a fan....
I’m a Vikings fan. We’re rated the unluckiest team this year, winning 3 less games this year than expected because of unlucky plays and calls per the metrics. So yeah I wouldn’t doubt if ref ball was helping teams out a lot.

Balances out the crazy luck they had last year.
Over a long enough time, ref issues even out. Problem is, we care about the one call, not the long term evenness by the nature of sports being a "now" product
@@WhydoIsuddenlyhaveahandle if you think last year is a consolation for all the unluck the past 50 years, you’re missing the mark. Give them the luck the next 50 years to balance it out.
It was after the 49ers Saints game in 2013 when Ahmad Brooks tackled Drew Brees and they called roughing the passer, even though Brooks arm hit Brees in the chest, costing them the game, and then in the following week when the Saints played the Falcons and a Saints player practically ripped Matt Ryan's helmet off, but didn't call a penalty, that convinced me the game was completely rigged.
I’m a packers fan and I’m still mad that the game had to end that way. Packers were beating the chiefs and had the lead all night then it all came down to if mahomes could tie it up. Then the refs went and screwed up that final drive for both teams. I just would rather hear “the packers beat the chiefs on Sunday night football” instead of “the refs screwed the chiefs on Sunday night football.” It also seems that prime time games have the worst officiating. That’s when you mainly see/hear about controversial calls or no calls. They need to fix it because it’s ruining the game and the fans experience.
If it any consolation, most Chiefs fan admit you were the better team that game. Even if we are pissed at the refs, doesnt discount your team.
Hey I’m a bears fan and the only reason the packers beat the bears most of the time is because it’s rigged that way
Coaches have a specific number of challenges allowed per game. Within that, ANY call should be available for challenge.
Only if you want games to last 4 to 5 hours
Bro just noted that coaches already have a limited number of challenges, so how would making any call open to challenge extend the games??@@Stoney47
It's probably a combination of keeping otherwise boring games close and making sure that Vegas wins. Last night's MNF double header is a prime example. The Giants and Titans both win in close games? C'mon man 😂 The public money was 9 -1 on the Dolphins with a 14 point spread. Vegas killed it.
Don't forget the fine print that says it's only entertainment and the judge who backed it up, I believe in a case filed by a Jets fan.
Yup, he ruled that buying a ticket only guarantees you to watch the game unfold. NFL can do what they want.
Lane Johnson jumped early all game vs the 49ers....then they finally called 1 at the end of the game after clearly doing it 4 times in a row
But as u see the 49ers won due to a script
He has been doing it for YEARS
The rigging of games became obvious last season. There were two booth reviews at the goaline in back to back weeks that were identical and the league office decided one was complete and a TD and the other was incomplete and 4th down. Check it out.
Which game was this?
When you are handicapping a game. You have to figure in the Goodell line
It's what the bookie wants. And as far as I'm concerned Godell is the bookie
Someone needs to do a study that correlates "bad calls" & sports lines (over/unders) to actually see what's happening.
I recently took a delve into the NFL rulebook on what constituted several of the big penalties (Mainly Holding, Pass Interference, Roughing the Passer were the primary ones). I was doing this at the time to check out a game that somebody else had claimed as rigged (It wasn't, the no-call he pointed out was actually legal play by the defender). After that delve though, I have had less fun watching games because I will see obvious calls that are not made. A game that ought have been close was a blowout because of numerous either shit calls or no calls. I'm not going to claim that I know the rules better than these referees do, but it does seem that way at times.
I also hold that some of these rules are a tiny bit harsh, especially in regard to Roughing the Passer. IMO there is a difference between ACTIVELY hitting the guy and ACCIDENTALLY hitting the guy. Basically, if defender is already in passer's face as the ball is released, he won't be able to stop himself in time because inertia. If you are 2 plus yards out when the ball is thrown and still tackle the QB, THAT is RtP. If you are less than a yard from QB when ball is thrown and were already RUNNING in that direction, that should not be penalized because that is Inertia, not the player's fault.
as a hockey fan I love how coaches challenges work in the nhl I would love if the nfl they could challenge penalties but there is not a good way to implement it
You forgot to mention the possible influence of gambling and the potential for the sort of thing we saw years ago in the NBA when Tim Donaghy was convicted and sent to prison for fixing games.
He was not sent to prison for fixing games. That was legal. He was sent to prison for wire fraud while betting his games.
How true. One of the things that I finally found out is that the NFL is a corporation that needs to make money. They can do and manage the ‘product’ any way they want. Just like the NBA does. So anything that brings the best return on investment is allowed. Fixing the outcome, adding rules that degrades the quality of play, and catering to the needs of the gamblers. The proliferation of cameras that show everything, but do not come to the proper call. Thank You
yes. they’re really exposing themselves this year.
How does the wealthiest sports league in the world not have full time referees? Just mind blowing.
Everyone keeps acting like the refs are bad. They are actually quite good at giving the NFL what it wants….because they are ALSO the NFL
Pretty simple really. Three hours of work on Sunday 18 weeks per year does not constitute full time employment. What are you gonna do? Pay these guys to sit on there butts from February through August and then Monday through Saturday for the rest of the year? They work 54 hours per year IF they work the whole season.
The NFL is rigged, but it has nothing to do with sports betting, with the possible exception of an occasional player or maybe ref doing it.
The NFL has one priority...increase ratings.
When they negotiate advertisement contracts with the major networks, if they deliver more viewers, they can charge more money.
In my opinion, the NFL has a two idea approach to accomplish this.
1. Make sure a large amount of games come down to the end close, so people will watch longer.
2. Make sure the players that draw the most viewers like Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes play in a large amount of high-profile games.
The NFL instructs the officials to carry out these two main objectives. This is why there is so many subjective penalties for. The NFL can call, or not call certain penalties at certain times to keep the games close, or make sure the highest rated players advance.
The NFL can also possibly do things like doctor the footballs by adding counterweights, helium, magnets or electronic devices in them so they fly funny when they want a certain team to miss a kick.
I think it's possible the NFL did this back over a decade ago when the Ravens were playing the AFC Championship in New England.
The Ravens kicker missed a game tying field goal that was shanked wide left. That missed field goal put Tom Brady back in the Superbowl, and the NFL cashed in...
I think this is why the NFL moved the extra points back. They did this so if they want a team to lose, or want a team to not take a 9, 12 or 17 point lead after a touchdown, they just put the ball in with the counterweights that flys funny.
I would not put it past the NFL to do this kind of Shenanigans...
They could eliminate pass interference completely! It seems to be judgment call anymore. Or, they could get in the way-back machine and call it for any contact where the defense isn’t actually looking back at the ball. Third option, allow challenges on blatant fouls and increase the challenges to 2 for plays and 2 for fouls. This will increase the length of the game so shorten it by eliminating commercial time outs after scores and 2 minute warnings. There will still be plenty of commercials for injuries. They need to do this anyway to get game times back to 3 hours.
LET EVERY PLAY/CALL BE CHALLENGEABLE. Coaches would still have the same amount of challenges, so it wouldn’t slow down the game, just eliminate BS game-changing calls of ANY variety.
And challenges be allowed inside of 2:00
3:54 this was basically the jags and bengals game, they called a holding that wasn’t even there. But if they didn’t call that the jags would’ve been on the 1
Yeah, it’s been bad this season. The penalties called some teams this season are just dumb. It seems to be league-wide too.
As a corporation becomes more and more confident in their ability to get away with doing something that is normally not legal, it only makes sense that the problem at hand grows to a point that it becomes hard not to notice anymore. We are pretty much reaching that point now.
I don’t know how anyone could doubt this after last year’s ridiculous ending. Referees literally decided the Super Bowl. Now they are ruining a season of play. Honestly why play the games at all, just have the refs tell us what happened and be done with it.
I haven't watched the NFL since around the time Kaepernick kneeled, it has been far too politicized over the past few years and from what I've seen online it's just gotten worse since. The NFL just needs to focus on hosting football games and stay out of everything else, maybe then I'd bother watching it again.
I just watched Super Bowl 19 again.
I noticed the refs missed a PI against a 49er who was covering Clayton.
An obvious fumble picked up by a dolphin was called back. They said it was incomplete. Could have been a TD.
I remember Reagan saying that the 49ers was his favorite team. He also flipped the coin with no witnesses.
I watched the game when it was first aired. But I was surprised to see some rigging.
Playoff games and Super Bowls are like this.
Bro watching all this flags getting thrown is sad, even after the play is reviewed they still make the wrong call. What can be done ? Refs are getting worse every season !!
Also, they have those earpieces now like wwe refs so NY can talk to them constantly. They should never get a call wrong with this setup. But the officiating is worse, so you have to assume they're calling it exactly the way NY wants.
Anybody talking about "Bad officiating" and "Bad calls" is just a way
to avoid calling out the rigging, scripting and fixed games,
in my opinion.
Can't believe teams can challenge everything but penalties..
I didnt think games were rigged....THEN I SAW THE LIONS/ COWBOYS GAME.
TOTALLY FIXED
a huge part of Tyreek Hill not on the chiefs anymore, but also the NFL Refs this season absolutely have been the worst officiating this year than any other season which is absolutely dogshit
Not shocking considering the uprising of sports betting everywhere. These games are manipulated. Too much money on them not to be…
These problems are happening in every major sport. In baseball you have umps that have no consistent strike zone yet ump in major games. You have refs in basketball that won't call traveling or double dribble at all and then on a whim randomly call it a couple times. Or the call fouls to benefit specific players. It's getting pretty bad. The problem that I see, is how easy would it be for people that the refs know to benefit, while gambling, from the calls that they make?
The League is certainly rigging games, and IMHO has been doing so for a while now. The officiating has been steadily and obviously declining since around 2000 or there abouts. The League ( via officials) direct the outcomes of games they feel will be most impactful to their narrative. I believe that there is legal precedence stating that the NFL is like WWE wrestling, "entertainment," and the League can direct it as they see fit. This is directly the opposite of the appearance of fair play they present to the public each weekend. They create bogus rules( yes, I'm talking about the "Tuck" rule!)to help some teams and players only to apologize and later recind said bogus rule. In the game, they direct officials to penalize one team to create or increase an advantage to one side ( See the " Unbelievable " Patriots Comeback vs. the Falcons in a recent Superbowl). Without the aid of these calls, the team would've never been close to victory. The fact that we are now questioning the officials' integrity and ability only strengthens this point of view. Did the League just decide to give LESS training to newer officials? I think not. It's more likely that they are oftentimes directing them to make these incredibly egregious calls to successfully steer the game to their desired conclusion. The real question is, are they doing this to help the gambling industry or just to increase their already overflowing bank accounts at the public's expense? If they continue in this direction, they will become the laughingstock of professional sports- another has been league like the WWE that is barely watched or even followed. All I will say to the NFL is...... be careful what you wish for, you might get it.
Bill Belichick said it for years that they have to let the coaches to challenge everything. Some things may remain judgement calls, but after being challenged the refs may say that they reconsider their judgement.
And there is a well needed Gauge R&R to be done among the refs, because right now it seems, that EVERYTHING is heavily depending on who will be the judge of one game. You may get away with thing at one crew and be heavily penalized by the other crew for the same thing.
Reffing isn’t going to change because ownership has to pay for it. Just like they’ll never get rid of turf fields even though it brutally injures dozens of key players every season. The game will stay as it is until robot refs that they don’t have to pay for
Reminds me of the scab ref's the NFL brought in during the lockout. Their performance was so egregious, they became an SNL parody.
The hit prior to the PI call was blown too. I am a packers fan, and yes it was PI obviously, but if that hit doesn’t get flagged the chiefs are 15 yards back and who knows if the throw to MVS happens and they miss a PI. Either way the refs stink this year, and it is sus.
this is a great video. it answers so many questions. thanks Mike!
That game clock thing has always been an issue
False start on the steelers long snapper last night was pretty wild.
If officiating wasn’t rigged KC wouldn’t have won the last Superbowl
At All I'm pretty we all was thinking the Eagles were going to Win that
It was rigged
The biggest problems: (1) NFL is still using part-time officials, (2) They have instant replay, but have exceptions to what can be reviewed AND in some situation they review a play and still get it wrong, (3) Roger Goodell and owners a personally profiting from gambling, but there is ZERO accountability of oversight for questionable calls / suspensions, (4) The NFL has promoted gambling with the implication of fair competition, but allows casinos to set varied odds depending on the app, and (5) the NFL sends letters every franchise to excuse the blown calls, fines of players; but refuse to disclose information on officials income or accountability.
Without NFL rigging the Pats would never have done so well

Sooooo true!!
With all the insanity that has gone on this year with refereeing. I think every referee should have to disclose the personal finances. So we can see if sports betting is involved
It’s registered as sports entertainment so yes legally they can🤣
There needs to be MORE reff's. If there were more, then players wouldn't break the rules as often. Players today are more passionate and have less self control than in the past.

As a fan of any sport bad officiating is just something you come to expect... The part that really makes me suspicious with NFL officiating is how inconsistent it is even within a single game.
Also the insane rise and massive sponsorships with sports betting happening at the same time... If someone said every game is rigged I'd laugh in their face, but if they said that no games were rigged I'd pity them for being so hopelessly gullible.
Go back and watch the Dallas VS. Seahawks game and only watch the 3rd Quarter of the Dallas offense... EPIC
The Refs saved them 4 time on one drive allow
The craziest thing is how much the NFL can fine players and coaches for speaking out about the refs. It’s crazy bad when you notice it in games where you really don’t care who wins and you get to see one team getting boned all game.
they can not allow any discussion....Imo the refs and the players and coaches....all of them ...are under NDA's and face not only penalties but expulsion from their billion dollar scheme.....they are protecting their fraud...
Crazy how you didn’t mention the any of penalties favoring the eagles in the bills v eagles game
That was awful. Seemed like Buffalo had 100 penalty yards in the first half alone.
I was waiting for a mention of the Eagles. Even an eagles player admitted they’ve been getting away with stuff these past few weeks and when the 49ers gutted them it had finally caught up to them.
They tried. They were able to eject greenlaw with no reprocussions for having thier security guy start shit. Niners is just that much better than the eagles is all.
It's easly fixed.... make refs accountable for shit calls. They should be fined for bad calls
These are all great and bizarre examples of the officiating this season. For me, one of the most disturbing was the Miami-Philadelphia game in which complete leniency was afforded to the Eagles while every possible penalty thrown at the Dolphins. The die was set early as pass interference was allowed sealing Miami's fate and destroying what might have been a close, good game. The penalty stats for this game are nuts and it reminds me of how KC was effectively handed the championship last year over the Bengals. What I don't get is what is the plan here? Everyone can see what is going on and it isn't making the game more popular. Plus, it might make some kind of sense if it helped engage more fans from teams neglected by success but why favor teams like KC, Phily, etc that everyone is tired of seeing in the playoffs. Betting might be an explanation, but it would be tough to prove.
This is what I brought up too, the miami philly game was the worst reffing of the entire season so far.
And guess what, the referee crew in philly is a local philadelphia group of eagles fans who have been banned from being refs before for unethical refereeing
It's a complete fucking JOKE, the nfl is turning into ENTERTAINMENT instead of a competition.
We need FULL TIME REFEREES, FUCKKKK
They might not be directly calling the outcome of games. But it definitely looks like they give certain teams an advantage.
KC got gifted 2 games this year with horrible calls. It’s called making up missed calls like they do in baseball 😂
Derp, derp, derp. Thanks for adding nothing to the conversation. This isn’t about individual teams Corky.
I've wondered ever since the Ravens vs 49ers superbowl. Power magically went out. Team losing then just comes back. It was weird.
Like the bills vs the eagles calls werent called refs are horrible bills should of won it
FFS...Learn how to write a sentence my man. Sheesh man have you ever heard of a period or comma?
Given how heavily the NFL is invested in gambling, I wouldn't be surprised.
Between the refs throwing flags on questionable calls or them not throwing the yellow on obvious penalties yes they are rigging games. That and taking the fun out of football. The NFL needs to train school referees on an ongoing and consistent basis on what the standards are so there can be a firm consensus, rather than just issuing directives. They should take note of the XFL as far as being transparent on calls and justifications for flags. The Cowboys did and While digging into this topic further, the moment I found out the NFL doesn't have full-time referees my jaw dropped! How can a HUGE organization not have full-time employees like the refs!? WTF I hate to say it but I think the poor officiating is linked to the uprising of sports betting. Coaches have a specific number of challenges allowed per game. Within that, ANY call should be available for challenge. The NHL has been rigging games along, especially since the Merger. Does no one remember during games in the 80s and 90s they would show a random play from previously played random games over the years that required a decision from a referee? The play might have been a penalty of some type or whether a receiver was in bounds when he caught the ball. They would show the play as they were going to commercial break and say "You Make the Call" and then tell you what the correct call was or should have been when they came back. All in all, it was a fun way to test your knowledge of football if nothing else. In hindsight, it also made officials accountable because if I'm at home and can call the penalty correctly then the professionally paid referee should be able to do so as well. I noticed they no longer did this about 15 years ago and officiating has become worse and worse over the years since they stopped. They need to bring that back. Yeah, it’s been bad this season. The penalties called by some teams this season are just dumb. It seems to be league-wide too. Lane Johnson jumped early all game vs the 49ers....then they finally called 1 at the end of the game after clearly doing it 4 times in a row I’d like to see a line graph of the rise in legal sports betting as it correlates to bad officiating across sports…I’ll bet they run somewhat parallel. I don’t know if it’s the NFL doing it, or that refs are betting…but maybe their cousins or brothers-in-law are… It’s funny when I see spring leagues doing way better with officiating like having sky refs and hearing the refs’ mics on the broadcast. Like how can a multi-billion dollar company be this incompetent? Honestly, if they are trying to fix it, they would fine refs for bad calls and missed calls. Just like they do the players for hits and such. But if the NHL is behind the actual blown calls like you suggest then there will be nothing to do unless people stop watching.... Not weird considering legal sports betting has become so popular. You just pumped so much money into the sports world that somebody somewhere gonna make sure things go their way As a Dolphins fan you gotta mention the Dolphins is a game where we had 10 penalties had 0 and that's including a no-call for a facemask on a crucial drive for the Dolphins I've thought the NHL is rigged for certain teams for several years now. 100% there are referee biases that change the outcome of games. Not sure if we’ll ever know if it goes deeper than just the ref We also need refs to be employed only by the NHL. The fact that they all have real jobs is insane to me Depends on if you’re team got screwed or not and let’s be honest, everyone gets fucked over at some point or another. Could be rigging in some cases but at the same time I understand it’s a difficult job and a lot of moving parts in fast motion. Everything looks bad on super slow replay watching at home but the refs don’t get that luxury. However, there are always a few head-scratchers each and every week that make you wonder if a ref had big money on the game. That Green Bay no PI was just a blatant pi and don’t know how that wasn’t called they got away with a shit penalty on their own but the no PI effectively ended the game. Ravens earlier this season had a clear hook on the Ravens but no call. Coaches need to be able to challenge a penalty. It doesn’t fix a no-call situation but it’s something to keep these officials in check. But honestly, this isn’t just an NFL thing. I’ve even seen some insane calls at a high school level. MMA referees are horrible. In one fight the ref will call the fight off when a guy gets dropped but recovers quickly and in the next fight it’s like the guy kicking ass is looking at the ref like “This dude is going to die if you don’t call this”.
That game clock thing has always been an issue Maybe it's time to pay refs enough of a salary that they won't be tempted to rig games and point shave, especially seeing as how the NFL now feels the need to PARTNER with online sports betting outfits. When you are handicapping a game. You have to figure in the Goodell line Bro watching all these flags getting thrown is sad, even after the play is reviewed they still make the wrong call. What can be done? Refs are getting worse every season !! a huge part of Tyreek Hill is not on the Chiefs anymore, but also the NFL Refs this season absolutely have been the worst is Reffing officiating this year than any other season which is absolutely dogshit they have been doing it forever just becoming way more blatant and obvious Reffing isn’t going to change because ownership has to pay for it. Just like they’ll never get rid of turf fields even though it brutally injures dozens of key players every season. The game will stay as it is until robot refs that they don’t have to pay for All scoring plays are reviewed by New York and are challengeable, all penalties should be reviewed by New York and should be challengeable so they will throw fewer flags and will help with favored calls some say you can literality call a flag on every play Why do they have to use cameras from odd angles to see if something is a first down or TD? They could just put chips in the balls. But they don’t want technology, they want the ref to be able to determine what happens (with help from “NY”) announcements Just now.
Because it’s rigged. Casinos rig all their games, you think they won’t rig gambling?
There are billions of dollars being exchanged every week, they have control.
Refs are bad, or the game is fixed. No doubt it’s one or both.
Hello. I saw your TH-cam video on “Is the NFL rigging games?”, and I can tell you that you can call out the NFL on their BS by proposing this reffing system to the NFL:
1. Use the cameras to create a virtual, 1:1 mapping of the real world to a virtual world for the entire field
2. Have a AI view fouls that were called and learn each foul by using machine learning
3. When the AI finds a match of foul and virtual world, send evidence to a committee of as many refs as you’d like (and make them available to all teams as desired)
4. They vote on it and decide from there
Watching tonight. Not for the offense but the officiating 😂
The short answer yes... the long answer, HELL YES!
Bro, you missed the Colts Browns game. Refs cost the Colts the game with not one, but two absolutely terrible calls in the final seconds.
Recognized your voice from the madden days 😂 my boy done had 10-12 channels. Been here messing with you since the flight Mike days.
I’ve been thinking this since January 1980 when the refs blew the Mike Renfro call in Three Rivers.
They just need to simplify penalties and calls. They clearly need upstairs refs to see and call penalties as well, let the ones on the ground call one groups of penalties and the upstairs calls the other. Also give coaches penalty challanges, to take a small advantage of missed/wrong calls. Also if there was a missed call, have that addressed and added on during the next play/possession
The cat is out of the bag... refs are throwing games.😮
It's easier to cover up a "fix" in a messy game than a clean game with 1 bad call
In last nights Thursday night football game with the patriots and the steelers I saw a lot of the offensive live jumping 1/4 of a second early.
NFL is a Business so the NFL gets what they want in Playoffs and Superbowl and the winner of it all every yr.
Yes, and they are endangering the players on top of it with a lot of this.
I saw one play in the DAL-SEA game highlights that had four 15-yard penalties, none called, including an ejection foul.
Corruption always conceals itself under the banner of incompetence.
I can’t believe you made a video on this with no mentions of the games played in Philly this season.
