Some look at this video in awe. That may be because assembly plant processes and the propitiatory equipment needed takes years to develop and successes are then built upon successes. Only then can you produce a quality product in this manner..... Other who view this video just want to bash the working man or the product. As long as there are successes there will be tribalism or jealousy. It's human nature. Believe me there is nothing to be jealous of. Working on an assembly line is not a pleasant job. I respect any one who can do this day after day after day.
I will never own another new GM product. I bought my first new chevy 4x4 truck in 1978 my 2nd in 1987 my 3rd in 2000 when it got wrecked my bought my 4th in 2004. drove it home 8.9 total on the truck and it never left my driveway again under its own power. after fighting with Gm dealer 6 days later when they did come to look at it the idiot locked the keys in it 3 times messed up my paint job and the 3rd time just busted the wide window out of it. I told the you just bought this truck back. after I got a lawyer involved I got my money back and been with ford ever since. but when you give 20k CASH for a truck and drive it 8.9 miles and they don't want to fix it. I think it was because I paid cash. and I called them with in 20 minutes of leaving the dealer. but I liked the video its cool how it all works.
Amen Glen. That's why I never pay cash.
Lies. GM has an obligation, and a promise. As well as the union would have never allowed it. Next time, speak to Corporate, not your friendly Chevrolet dealership. The dealership is not authorized or given clearance. As far as you paying cash, GM could careless. You are still a valued customer, no matter how you acquire a GM product.
Make a payment or two then pay it off.
Hi Glen. You obviously like GM trucks and that in itself is a great thing.
@@bobolulu7615 gm is all i ever owned until 2004
I like how they attach the thingamabob to the doohickey!

Fantastic line of production GM conglatulation for The your vídeo!

I love the robots. I know they take away from human workers, but they are so cool too watch.
That was a cool video that’s where my truck was built
Mine as well! I love my z71 Denali
That explains a lot why those transmission bolts are so hard to get to and many other components.
That's where my 1990 was built.
Garbage then, and garbage today.
@@johncholmes643 There is a 1992 Silverado in my driveway with 267k miles and it starts and drives everyday. It's had its transmission rebuilt and has its share of problems, but I'm confident it will get me to work every day. It will still be running long after these trucks in this video are in the junkyard.
@@ChickenC0re Go back to sleep, it was only a dream.

@@johncholmes643 you must be a Ford guy. My condolences.
Those king ranch look sick
Neat video, thanks for sharing
Nice truck....I’ll stick to my paid off ‘94 7.3
Wanna know why sales are down? b/c people can't afford to buy these monstrosity trucks anyone. bring back an affordable base model Colorado standard cab. that's what we want
That's why the Frontier is the last true simple small pick up. But they're doing away with it in 2021 or 22 I think. But the new one may come with a small Cummins option I think.
You're in luck . Chevrolet builds the low cost Colorado version truck called the W/T model.
No frills , bare bones or add options
That's not what I want. I want a regular cab, 1/2 ton 4x4 with an 8' bed and manual transmission. For under $30k!
@@MikeBrown-ii3pt Yup! People in HELL want a glass of ice water too.
Medic311 why not the S10 LoL
I've owned a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 V8 and I currently own a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 1500 V8 both were assembled at the Fort Wayne Indiana assembly plant.
I have designs on purchasing a new 2023 Silverado V8 and I am willing to travel to Indiana to get it.
GM can keep that 4 cylinder nonsense.
No offense to the hard working folks in the Silao Mexico assembly plant, but go Hoosiers!
Wow amazing
It's pretty obvious that robots will be doing 100% of the work soon. We would already be close to 100% robot assembly if the unions didn't complain so much.
scdevon you are right, unions are cancer. They are destroying us. Current day detroit Michigan is proof of that.
👍👍
@@scdevon Says the guy that's just salty because he's too stupid to figure out how to make real money. 💯
Very interesting. These guys have to pay attention to detail and not fall asleep on the job. Just miss one bolt or add on and you're screwed!
Also interesting that GMC and Chevy, Sierra and Silverado, all on the exact same line right behind each other. And we're paying more for GMC? But I do like these trucks. I want one, but they are pricey as all trucks are now.
When the paint booth looks more like a car wash. lol
Hats off to these hard workers
Always owned GM trucks but I am sorry the 2020 body style is a total disgrace to Silverado and Sierra I have a 2014 Silverado I will keep it on the road as long as I can till they change this style I will go to a different brand
lin67637
My 2015 Silverado regular cab was made there!
Henry Ford. Production line. This is the latest version. Imagine if it were available to him back then.
Wow....the process is amazing.
Well it’s not like Illinois were jobs are beginning to scarce!
Tommy Fisher Fort Wayne is in Indiana
Andyco79 what does that has to do with Illinois
I got it one piece at a time, and it didn't cost me a dime.
I wish I can work there
Majority of the work is in Mexico now
The more the newer trucks come out the more you gonna need a rocket Scientist to work on them!
Looking at the powertrain sitting in the frame my first thought as a former GM dealership mechanic was that the transmission most likely has already been out for repair or replacement by now.
I can’t stand the look of the new Chevy 1/2 ton or 3/4. GMC is my next truck, they kept the more of the old tradition
I've been a Dodge guy for the last 25 yrs.
That said, the front end of the GMC 2500 HD is like a Terminater coming after you.
It's just bad ass no matter how you slice it.
I too like the gmcs better after 2019
Remember back in mid 90's when the new look Ram was the talk of the town?
GMC got it going on the same way..
Well, you will pay MORE for the GMC and they are built on the exact same assembly line one after the other. There is NO difference in them except the PRICE. Put Chevy badges on this one and put GMC badges on that one. Very clever marketing. Two vehicles that are EXACTLY the same and people think they are "different!"
Uhhh, yeah. It's called General Motors..
Thanks for showing this video 👍👏😊
If you look closely you can already see the rocker panels and cab corners starting to rust lol
At least it’s not a ram
its bent, The frame that is
At least it isn’t a Ford
Not if you wash then
Out like ppl should on my 2019 I wash those areas out two times a week in the winter time
Да
My Silverado is Great, no problems.. great video!
It’s almost as if they are built like no one will ever have to work on them.
Nathan Hatfield exactly smh...but they don’t care, they’ll never see them again.
Thats the way ALL factory's build the vehicles today ease of assembly not ease of repairs.
All throwaway, like your TV now
It pains me that the final assembly point for my Silverado is Mexico. Its been a great truck but I wish it was made 100% in the states.
