softbaiting coromandel mussel farms. fishing holiday day 1 of 2

part 1 of a 2 part series. me and jo traveled from wellington to coromandel for a 2 day fishing trip this is day1 we softbaited the same mussel farm all day no need to move it was non stop action. zman new penny and bruised banana were the colours that were working for us paired with a ocean angler 1/4oz light bulb jig head. the next day we met up with a mate and took 2 boats out to the islands that will be in part 2. the highlight of day 1 was the kingfish showing up at the end of the day. we stayed at papa aroha holiday park awesome place and very fishing orientated.

You and the bro are totally onto the NETTNG GIG - I like the team work - i to try not to lift and not lose good fish by liftng by fishing line and hook alone.-Love the vidz.

You would have been back to the Oamaru Bay boat ramp in 20 minutes if you fished right in the berley of that barge bro. You'll get small ones, but the 50 to 60 cm fish are right in the berley trail.
