Yea man we have had some very close calls been very lucky so far weve caught heaps aswell ill definately keep that in mind and be a bit mre carefull. We caught a few the other day and he was biting the towel luky it wasnt the leg lol

Mean gud luck bro ull get one they love hanging around ward plenty of food for them around that island. Its my fave spot in the harbour i try there first everytime

Im a drift fisher love drift fishing but when its hard fishing or there holding in 1 spot we anchor up and send berly down with anchor which is what we did that day they were under our boat all day it was crazy

Drifting. I hardly ever anchor only if the fish are holding in 1 spot and the currents running hard i will.

Stayed at papa aroha. We launch at oamaru bay every time we stay in coro which is just a couple mins past long bay. The mussel farms straight in front of there behind turkey island have gone off for us evritym. certain times of day better. Been told this time of year its a bit harder fishing but its still coro so u shud still be on. Dont forget secret sauce if using softys. The motukawao group islands we went to in this vid fished ok and wer easy enuf to get to in the dingy didnt want to go further in dingy. Havnt explored other islands there but if you have time i would try port charles on the other side of coro we never had time to go. Iv seen a episode of fishing and adventure launching from there.

Just an update that the fishing was awesome bro, heaps of around 500mm and a few over 600! I mainly bait fished though as my sift baiting powers are not strong lol. I seen your Welly harbour fish recently! Missed that opportunity!

was probably using squid back then hence the sharks. i only use softbaits and lures now there way more affective if used correctly and less mess and smell

Yea man there preti gud dingys ive been evriwea and out deep. but of corse gota pick your weather little chop ok. i have been caught in ruffish conditions tho and has handled it all gud but its a old hull with electolysis so ive craked the hull up front 3 tyms from smashing it down off the waves. Just got it welded back up at local shop for 50 buks and good to go agen. If new hull ild say that wudnt be much of a issue

@@killing1493 go for it bro sounds good boats are only getting more exspensive. 4 stroke is better than 2 by far but i mean 2 stroke will still get the job dne. just make sure engine is all gud chek for service history etc ideally get one that has been serviced b4 purchase. I serviced mine after i brought it cost me few hundred needed new impeller and gbox seal. I brought boat for 4.5 i thnk and got serviced so owes me 5k.

13 foot i think. Not quite as big as a 14 footer. Such a good size for 2 people to fish comfortably

Haha yea man i live for tht adrenaline hit. Caught my first kingfish solo aswell all the way out hunter bank welly. Iv learnt since then its easier launching in the lagoon at castlepoint and going out the gap on a gud day only haha but yea i let my tyres down first and did the launch real quick was a good challenge.
