As a North Carolina LCS/Dealer I greatly appreciate what you said in this video. Just a couple weeks ago we had 90% sellers and 10% buyers, I was shocked to say the least. For the last seven business days it's been about 50/50, who knows what next week will have in store. The ratio on what we're buying and selling really hasn't changed, about half gold and half silver. With gold around 2K I can see why some sell but silver at these prices is another story. I try to ask everyone why are you selling and most reply I need the money for bills, payments, property tax, insurance, medical etc., just a few may say to buy something big. This tells me people are hurting and just don't have enough money to live in this wonderful economy we have right now. I also own and operate a 78 year old restaurant and a distribution center, sales are off 20 to 25% not to mention the cost of doing business is through the roof. So it's not just precious metals getting hurt, it's everything. Sadly I don't see thinks getting better any time soon. God help people with credit card debt, high mortgage payments and young people trying to get started. Sorry for the long comment, guess I needed to vent..lol. VERY WELL SAID. I am up here in BC (Western Canada) and am a silver pourer so I pour nothing that doesn't have a buyer ordering it first. 8 months ago I just would pour away but now, NO WAY as the belt is as tight as I can comfortably keep holding my pants up on me.

If so many people are selling and the price hasnt really gone up, that really shows how bad the economy is right now. Just wait until things start breaking the price really starts going up. Those people will be kicking themselves.
Established coin shops NEVER reject buying gold or silver. That is because there is always a buyer.
The problem with smaller coin shops is that they have limited capital and may run out of credit in order to keep buying.
If a small dealer does not have wholesale outlets lined up, they just cant keep buying until they can sell.
What makes a dealer successful and allows him to grow is connections with large buyers.

Nics coins said it best. Its way easier to buy silver than sell it. That's an important statement. Years down the road when we all go to retire and sell, there may not be any buyers. Then what??? Die with all this silver? Some of us dont have children to pass it to.
There will always be buyers. The guy with shop who stopped buying don't know what he's doing.

It's hard to gauge the market as a whole when it varies so much on a micro level. In my area we have 3 LCS, and the ratio has been roughly 60% buyers to 40% sellers. Most times the dealers only have to make a few calls for things that come in the door, as they know their clientele and what they want.
A good LCS is a god send these days. You have 3 of them while I have to drive 10 + hours to get to the first ones down South of here. Shopping North has a lot of pit falls to work around.

Much the same up here in BC Canada. Folks panic when the spot goes up. That is generally when I would sell.
I live in The Dominican Republic (Which is obviously a 3rd world country), & I can sit here & tell you that Jewelry stores do NOT buy Gold/Silver from customers. America is quickly becoming that. People thinking that their metals stack is going to explode 2-300% & they’re just gonna walk right in to sell it & cash out & take there profit got another thing coming. There will be ZERO buyers when the metals finally do what they’re supposed to do. Not even big online retailers or wholesalers will be buying.Gotta find people to exchange your stack with for products & services etc cause that’s what it’s for. It’s not to take it back into a store to get paper back.

I live in Panama. No one buys gold and silver in Panama unless you know a dealer. There are almost no dealers in Panama. You need cash to get thru a crisis in Panama. Not gold and silver. People that need money here are out of luck if they have gold or silver to sell only. Gold and silver is for hoarding. Not for use in hard times. Yes, gold and silver are valuable. But, not at the beginning of a crisis. In the beginning of a crisis you need cash. Cold hard cash. Once we enter hyperinflation which means that the currency will be worthless, then and maybe then your silver will have value.

That day will indeed come where we’ll use the Gold & Silver to purchase, but that is not until the dollar itself falls, or physical dollars become scarce enough or hard to come by to the point where people will HAVE to accept Gold or Silver as a payment. Here in the DR (& I’m sure most 3rd world countries) worship the dollar. Until there’s a SERIOUS problem with regards to its purchasing power or physical availability, Gold & Silver will be a non factor. Luckily for us stackers, imo that ‘serious problem’ is quickly approaching, but like you said initially we will need cold hard cash, preferably small denominations.
@@alextavarez7777 I appreciate what you are saying. Most stackers dont understand what you and I are talking about. Gold and silver is not spoken of in Panama almost as if it is something illegal. You pay for it in cash. If you sell it you only accept cash for it. You never deposit large sums of cash in the bank because of fear that the bank may accuse you of money laundering. I have to keep my stack in a commercial private vault. I will not access my stack until the dollar has depreciated enough that I can no longer feed myself using the US dollar. At that time the Panamanians have no choice but to trade using metals. This moment could be 5 or more years into the future in my humble opinion but there is no stopping it at this point. The average stacker now doesnt know what is coming.
all these big bars of silver won't be worth shit in a collapse. Right now you can't even find hardly local buyers, and what they offer is way less than what you paid for it. They're not "rare" or "in-demand" like these people claim.
Never sell to a coin dealer or pawn shop unless you have no other choice
I buy from local people. I only pay and buy at current gold and spot price. No premiums.
in a collapse scenario these metals won't be worth shit. Even in a functioning economy your local shops only offer you way below what you paid for it, imagine when food and water is most desirable I don't think having some kilos of silver is going to do you any good.

Silver joker’s store is only on camera with voice only. While they look at display cases. Lots of ways to get their experience featured.
People were buying high and are now selling low. Its the only reason premiums are coming down.
I blame youtube. All we have heard for a few years is that when people sell they "will get their premiums back" That is BS now and its ALWAYS been terrible advice. Anyone who thinks their stack is worth more than spot is living in a delusion. Collector value is 100% emotional. Just because we love vintage doesn't make it something its not.
I have three stacks (basically)
90%, vintage and everything else. I have my ASE's and Libertad's tossed in the same bag as Buffalo's. What I call my "junk Silver" when the ratio drops, that bag will be GONE with zero regrets.
Silver to me is sub fractional Gold. A place holder for when the ratio is high.
My all time wonderful pieces to stack are 100 gram anythings. They are always available an just a really nice piece in hand. Really nice to see you old friend. Your posts I think help new stackers a lot fella. All the best for your thanksgiving eh fella.

More availability lower prices less availability higher prices. If local coin shops have an excess of silver and want to move it they will lower there prices.
Not all coin shops are created equal some are even down right scandalous . I’ve even seen some prey on old lady’s not understanding the market and give 10% under spot because of there own ignorance and then the very next person in-line that has knowledge of the bullion market get pain 10% over spot .
These types of coin shops I will never shop at and should probably be exposed and put out of business .
My new coin shop is amazing and they do business the right way with honesty and integrity .

San Jose I like Vic’s or falcone coins , Mac’s in Fremont is ok it’s in Cupertino as well but sell prices there depend on you’re knowledge so they could act a bit funny if they don’t know you . In Santa Cruz Central Bay Coin Exchange so far has been amazing and Santa Cruz coin exchange is my local shop been going there for many years
Me and Vic at Vic’s coins had a falling out but he has great prices and he’s not a bad guy just seems like he’s always had to much coffee if you know what I mean

I always stay ready for a pullback but I don’t count on it ! Especially in these times lots of metal moving factors going on right now so I try to keep that in mind .
And just stay on budget I purchase based on cost averaging not pullbacks
In my area, the increase in supply has definitely reduced the price LCS are paying, while also still having a big premium (+$4 on generic rounds).
LCS here is getting a lot of sellers but people are still buying up the bullion. From what I understand constitutional 90% is being brought in the most keeping prices low.
True stackers like myself never sell unless they are in a really bad financial situation which is very rare! Most if not all are smart!

Shops that are turning away metal during the holidays need to rethink their strategy. They should look to beef up their inventory.

Happy Thanksgiving. I'm very lucky that both of my LCS's are in it for the long game. This is a lesson to brand new stackers. I'm not an advisor or professional consultant; this is just my opinion. Keep the fiat you need, and only use disposable income for precious metals. The whole idea is that you stash your metals and forget about them. You can't do that if you have a mountain of bills to worry about.

Yeah there’s a few doom and gloom bigger channels that just keep pushing panic . I know it’s getting rough out there but we still need cash to live and you know most of these channels are stacking cash as well but they don’t ever talk about it . I over extend myself all the time but I have a cushion to fall back on some of these newer stackers do NOT and the large silver pusher channels are being reckless by not divulging all the information in the videos just to make a buck . It’s really sad . I’m sure I could do more views if I doom and gloomed but I wouldn’t feel good about myself. The world sucks right now people know it but don’t try to make money off peoples emotions. Ha ha anyways a little rant there ! Ive noticed a lot more people on kijiji selling silver lately. Buying and selling on kijiji can save you money when buying and get you more when selling. It's a lot easier to sell if you have a sigma pm verifier, but many times people will have their own. I wouldnt sell to a dealer unless i was desperate

During the holiday season collectible buying always slows down as money is allocated to other stuff. I can see taking some profit on gold at $2000 or more. I always have and have always been glad I did it. But silver is still too low and not yet near my selling price. With demand and premiums so low price really hasn't changed for silver. Cheers!

My LCS has over 15k ounces of silver and over 250ounces of gold on hand. He said he is seeing a buyer for ever 4-5 sellers.
He is still buying, but he is not paying much - he is paying about $1.5 over for Silver Eagles, spot for generic rounds, a little under spot for 10oz bars, $2.50 under for 100oz bars, and spot for American Gold Eagles.
I only buy from people not LCS. Person to person. Gold and Silver only for spot. No premiums.
Gold Buffalos are hands down win. Too bad they stopped the fractionals. Simply gorgeous works of art. Geiger puts out some sweet bars as well. So does Scottsdale Mint. But yeah, sucker for some the old school bars.

Laporte Indiana coin shops and pawn shops are selling silver and gold like crazy. They can't keep it in stock. The pawn shop alone has been doing 10,000 a day. Sometimes a little more sometimes a little less
I would not crack the Buffalo out of its plastic holder. I actually prefer them in the holder. It protects the coin and I can still put it on the Sigma verifier. I am hoping silver drops even more. I picked up a few more ounces when it dropped into the 22ish level on spot. Premiums have come down on the American Silver Eagles and that is fine by me. I usually prefer the Silver Eagles although I quit buying them because the premiums were just too high. I just picked up a tube of them a few weeks ago.
Nice pick ups . Yeah I’ll probably keep it in the holder or maybe trade up a bit to someone who appreciates the grade for a bullion buffalo and a few dollars I don’t know yet I may just keep it

Imagine selling all your metals right on the cusp of a great financial system meltdown. Makes no sense what people are doing. 1 in 10 stackers are actual stackers?
Got 4 JM bars at 30 a pop from a paen shop. All sealed and consecutive. Then bought 4 more at 32 each from Silver Oceans.
I am a stacker and almost Never sell. ( 3 diff x last 6 yrs). But if the Fed sticks w the " Higher for Longer" rates theme, the reality is : higher rates make dollar stronger vs metals and it could very well wear the Silver spot back down below $20 spot over next yr making it attractive sell point here at $23. ( I haven't yet this time, but I can see the logic in selling here)
Seems to Me a lot of channels were selling their Silver not long ago because they lacked Fiat or financial security 🤔

You get a 70 grade on a Buffalo you don’t crack that case. I know you want to fill your tube but that is something special. Take it as a gift to yourself. We have to enjoy this hobby every now and then to keep us motivated

People must need money... My stack is my savings account. I will sell if I need to buy something but always make the stack bigger after...like a Heloc I put all my money in metals and make a withdrawal when needed...last time I went to the pawn shop they told me I had suspect silver... I told them I bought it from my lcs who happened to be their boss... I told them and my lcs never tell me I have suspect silver because that makes it out to the community. My lcs made it right. I recommended that he tell the pawn shop if they can't take silver, just say they are not taking silver...unless it's true, never tell someone they have suspect silver...all the silver I traded was real 999 silver...

I just sold 50 ounces with no probblemo. I sold some no premium generic silver so I could buy the 2023 reverse proof morgan and peace dollars cac graded. Paid $360 for them but I had to have them for the collection. Also bought a Philly peace dollar 2023 graded by cac for $155 and a bunch of 2023 mexican libertads in a bunch of different weights. A lot of online sights have one ounce bars in stock. Just saying.
I’m not talking about 50 ounces I’m talking about turning people away selling 1000 ounces . If a coin shop doesn’t keep enough cash around to buy a small 50 ounces then they probably shouldn’t own a coin shop . I’m kind of opposite in your accumulation I would of sold the 2023 reverse proof set for more weight in ounces I think the modern collectibles have a place just not in my collection.
And the one ounce bars they sell online are not the kind of bars I’m looking for and when I do find them online there way over priced . coin shops usually don’t have time to price them and just sell them at bullion prices and I get a steal of a deal

@savagestacker yah I would say most small coin shops would have a hard time buying 1,000 ounces along with everyone else selling. I get that. I don't even have the reverse proof coins in hand yet. CAC for the first time this year is actually selling coins already graded in their packaging so I didn't want to miss out on the first ever reverse proof morgan and peace dollars and first time CAC grading into their own packaging. Should be something special to hold onto and see what happens.

Scared money don't make money. We've been through these cycles with Gold and Silver before. One day it's hot, the other it's not. Things may be slow now, but things will heat back up eventually. It was just this year the banking collapse happened and Silver / Gold was flying off the shelves.

I’m sure things are different in different areas but also how much are people trying to sell at once I’m talking about folks selling 500 to 1000 ounces lots of shops around here have purchased thousands of ounces these passed few weeks and days and not purchasing any more large purchases until they makes some sells and having to turn away larger sellers. 50 , 100 ozs no problem they will buy but not monster boxes at the moment tying up 100k in a short amount of time dose that to shop especially if people are selling 10:1 vs buying

This is exactly what I thought would happen when the price of the metals goes up. Everyone will be selling and in turn the dealer will turn away many sellers because of too many sellers. So the jokes on you stackers - You are all screwed. You wait for a long time to sell and when it's time to sell you are turned away because everyone else is selling.
