Good job Bonnie, I live in Arlington, WA and am 76 years old. I first hiked to the Green Mountain Lookout when I was 21 and returned numerous times in the 19070's and 1980's. I have not been there for 40 years. Your video inspired me to do the hike again this week. I am a retired forester and the hike will be very nostalgic, since I have spent many years working in the Darrington area. I am still an avid hiker and just returned from walking the Camino Frances in Spain. Thanks for inspiring me to revisit Green Mountain.

Im from Darrington myself, I remember hiking Green Mountain with my father when I was a kid in the 90's, and its one if the most potent and fond memories I have. Ive been inspired lately as well to return to the area, maybe we'll cross paths! I was worried about access, with road closures so this was my green light!

Did this 40 years ago, thanks for the memories. My favorite short hike in the Cascades.

Me, too. Several times, back in the late 70's and early 80's, when the lookout was still manned in the Summer and Fall. Glad to see it hasn't changed much. Great memories.

I’ve had this one on my AllTrails for a long time. I might do it this weekend or next for sure.

That is a great view of Glacier Peak. I love hoe the river valley gives an unobstructed view right up to the base of Glacier Peak.

Wow!! Those views are something else. Marmots are so fun to watch, I can’t imagine seeing 50 of them. Very thorough trip report on the WTA site, appreciate all the detail and thanks for clearing the log off the road.

This is breathtaking! The footage of the meadows reminded me of Hidden Lake Lookout.

Hello Bonnie, I love your videos! As a retired man who still likes to hike and climb, I have seen many beautiful summits in our state. There is a beautiful set of mountains called the Bulger Peaks that have one mountain in particular that I really want to climb. Have you ever climbed either Mount Maude or Three Fingered Jack from the Phelps Creek / Leroy Basin Trail? With your wonderful film making, that is one I would really enjoy seeing if you ever climb there. Thank You Bonnie for bringing so much beauty into the World through your talent and enthusiasm!!

Hi, thank you so much, I am so happy you like the videos. It's funny you should mention Maude because that peak has been on my list for a while now, and I do have plans to get up there, so I really hope I get to film it eventually conditions permitting. It seems we have similar taste in mountains!

@@wanderingwashington Thank You Bonnie for all of your beautiful and uplifting videos. I have viewed your climb of Green Mountain and Mount Daniel and Vesper Peak and I now have a desire to climb Mount Daniel and Vesper Peak along with Mount Maude. Your filmmaking is amazing and very inspiring and informative. My Best Friend of 54 years and myself have climbed and camped on some of our volcano summits twenty to thirty years ago, when Dinosaurs still walked the Earth and there were no videos. My friend who stayed weeks on these summits came home with stunning pictures of sunrises and sunsets and an inspiring manuscript of the hardships and beauty and overcoming of Summit Camping.
