Very nice video Bonnie. What a beautiful day for a hike! I have climbed Ruth and Icy so have been over Hannigan Pass. Earlier in the season, like July as I recall, we encountered Black Flies down below. Glad you did not have to deal with that on your trip. Thanks again Bonnie!
You were smart to do this hike in the fall. I did it with my nephew August 2nd and the biting flies were so bad we had to trail run it out most of the way and just couldn't take the time to appreciate the surrounding beauty. Nice to see it here in your video great footage!
Really enjoy your hikes. It would be nice if you pulled out a map of the cascades at the start and pointed to the peak you were hiking to at the start of the video. I’m often distracted by trying to remember just where that peak is and how to get to the trailhead when I’m watching.
Thanks for the views and bringing back memories In 1974 I spent the Summer working on the trail crew at Ross Lake through the Youth Conservation Corp, at the end of our project our group spent 5 days hiking out and over Whatcom and Hannegan. Best Summer ever
Did Ruth Mountain yesterday, similar views but close to Mount Shuksan. Feels like it's as difficult as Mount Daniel or less, with no glacier traverse involved, lots of fun scramble, and definitely worth a try in the future.
Absolutely beautiful! The landscapes are breathtaking. Excited to see more!👍70

Great Hike, I did it this weekend. My day was cloudy but still fantastic. I was up there for 45 minutes just hanging out. Wonderful time!
I backpacked up to Hannegan Pass a couple years ago and did Hannegan Peak for sunset. It was incredible!

What an amazing hike and you captured it very well. The views are amazing out there. I'd love to work myself up to do a hike like that one day.
Thanks for the views and bringing back memories

Hello my friend! Glad I caught your new vid! Views are great as always!

We did this a few years ago but we did not go to Hannegan Pass but instead summited Ruth Mt. witch you get to by going to the right from the saddle.
