    In [CuCl5]3-, since it is a d9 system, as discussed in your Jahn-Teller videos, for Cu2+ complexes elongation is more suitable than compression. Going by that there should be two long bonds and 3 short bonds i.e option B. Could you please explain this? The time is 12:50.

      Sir, I don't understand this here. In d9 system, even in eg there are 3 electrons present and moreover the eg orbitals are present on the axes. So won't repulsion happen more there at z-axis due to which two bonds get longer and three bonds get shorter? Sir, could you please explain this?

    hello sir, in one of the question related to JTD, CuCl4}3- you said that option 1 is correct,but as i have seen in your regarding JTD that d9 system prefer elongation rather than compression so there should be two longer be two longer bonds than three. so in my option 2 is more related than 1......
