I want you to know, my husband and I put our heads together for over an hour to understand "Placing a Figure on a Street" from Perspective Made Easy for over an hour yesterday before I had to call it for my sanity. You've made it so simple. In Perspective Made Easy, Norling used a specific vanishing point and traced the top/bottom of the known figure through to it. This, of course, only works if your new object is in line between the object and the given vanishing point. If I'm understanding correctly, for something like a figure in space, we aren't trying to build cubes or walls, just heights. The vanishing point is whatever we make it on the horizon line. Therefore it doesn't matter where on the paper the new object sits, we don't have to trace the height back to a specific vanishing point, but through the top and bottom of a known object, to the horizon line, in the same spot. It's so, so much easier. Thank you! I felt so dumb trying to understand their super simplified (and therefore very confusing) diagram.
Hello. Could you please tell me what the book is like overall. I'm considering buying it, but the reviews on Amazon, like always, give praising reviews. Cheers.

@@johnellison1635 overall I think the book is solid. It's small and can typically found for really cheap. It's an older book, but the core concepts are all there.
really helpful vid, one question. if I were drawing a line of telephone poles, any tips for getting the width of the poles correct? Seems to be my stumbling block. I practice with cubes however 5 cubes in row will nail the height but the width and gap between cubes is clunky.
Perfect right when I’m studying about perspective!
