WELCOME to the gall bladder club! Yup, mine went south about 4 years ago! haha! (they say you can still eat whatever you want, but just be careful) Eggs Benedict has always been my all time favorite! Coincidentally somehow it came up last night about when I went out of town with my friend and he ordered eggs benedict for breakfast at the hotel we stayed in, I'd never had it before and he shared half with me and it was soooo good even though I'm not a big egg fan. We're coming from Cali and next month we'll be driving thru Iowa! Hwy 71, south to north, on our way to MN fishing! Best Mexican food I ever had was in Storm Lake a few years back. And we have LOTS of Mexican restaurants here!!

Speaking of Kerry Gold butter I went to Ireland in 2019 and we went through Kerry. They got nothing but green green grass for their cows too eat because of the rain there. That is the greenest place I’ve ever seen.

The pie crust around the egg is literally the same thing as a shingara where I live, though instead of an egg it's a few vegetables and potatoes, lots of potatoes :)

When I watch you I think about the cookies on our patrol bases. Not as high faulting as you’re food, but they worked hard to put hot food in the boy’s stomachs. A couple of them could work some magic and also be handy on a machine gun.

It’s funny, I grew up in the cities ghetto in a black and Hispanic family, I never grew up with white people and everything I heard was bad, that they hated me and viewed me as a enemy since birth. My mom wanted a better life for me and we moved a little close to the country side where there was more white people, and I have to say everything I was taught is a lie. White people were nice and friendly like everyone else they were welcoming. My family never really talked to white people because they never grew up around them. This is where racism comes from, ignorance. If we all talked to each and get to know each other we all would see that we are very alike.
When Mr. Rollins brought the bacon and cheese out. I knew, this is history in the makin.
This is the most impressive cooking channel that has ever existed, good food with a dash of history. God bless this man!

Love it when he tips his hat to our military. My son is a Green Beret in Afghanistan and coming home in a couple of weeks. So thankful for all that serve and to those that paid the ultimate price. Something the think about this Memorial Day.

I’m a veteran and I am thankful for his nod to us. There is four generations of veterans in my family, WWII (RIP,DAD) Korea (RIP UNCLE DEWEY) Vietnam, (Purple Heart) and Iraq. I’ve spent months away from family during the holidays, been in sub zero and devil hot weather and I never take our service members for granted. Old Glory and the POW/MIA flag flies proudly above my house every day. I’m so happy your brave warrior is coming home. God bless him. I tip my hat. Thank you.

I should have been a cowboy. I'm from a big city, and I rarely get eggs benedict.
I only watched the first 17 seconds so far but you got me at "deep fryin some pie dough". If you serve this at one of your events I will fly there.

I grew up on ranches and dairies and lived in the "big city" and suburbs, too. After living in the country, with room to move and breath, living on a street with other houses around is like living in a "kennel" with another caged animal on every side of you. You can't be yourself or do your own thing without someone else getting bothered or calling an HOA on you or just watching everything you do.
I live down in Georgia, now and would tell my kid that it makes me "claustrophobic" because of all the pine trees everywhere you look. By the roads, in the hills, in the valley. He didn't really understand until we took a road trip to see his grandmother and drove route 66, through the open countryside of Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and Southern California. We were looking over a broad, wide open Vista of purple and brown and green with a mesa, waaaay off in the distance, when he looked at me with an amazed yet understanding face and said "I finally get it... Why you always say you're claustrophobic."
Everybody should experience the country sometime in their life, then the city to make them appreciate it...

My sourdough mention came from an article I read in my teens, on old-west sourdough practice. Said northern ‘sourdoughs’ (men) feared porcupines the most, because they slept with their food under their pillow to keep it from the bears, but porcupines didn’t care and could be a blinding hazard if startled.
That article got me cooking sourdough, did it for years. Bread to donuts, but pancake was my forté. Yeah singular, 1 per frypan, an inch thick with berries or apple pieces ending up sindged on the bottom. The flip was always fun, cut it in 6 like a pizza. Leftover ‘slices’ could be split and popped in the toaster. Cooking/frying took longer, couldn’t use too fine a sugar or it would burn.. Good times.
