6:46 I did follow everything and wrote everything as you instructed on this page. When I submitted. But, I got a ‘CANNOT SELECT DATABASE’ message. It asking questions like; 1. Are you sure it exists? 2. Does the user root have permission to use the database? 3. On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_. Could that be a problem? I didn’t know what to do with this message

Are you able to add things like HTML, CSS, PHP or even JavaScript into your themes? Are you able to create your own themes on the site you introduced your viewers too? Do you have a MAMP Pro Wordpress Install? My local host is located somewhere else. I was able to place the wordpress files in the MAMP Pro location but the database information is not the same as in your video. Should it be the same?

I follow along completely.. but when I check the server after starting it.. nothing in the browser displays. This is problem #1. Then I carry on.... follow exactly and when I choose English in WP and get ready to install, it tells me my username and password are fine..but my database doesn't exist. Do you have a solution maybe? Or does anyone else still monitoring this page?
Continued from my previous post. After creating a new folder in the Mamp htdocs, for the WordPress unzipped file. And added a database too. There's already an index folder in the htdocs. Should I have deleted this ? I cannot get to the WordPress login page. Can U guide me further ? Thanks Carl

When I install mamp on windows and configure everything like you show in the video, when I open the browser window i dont have my website category in the menu. only start, tools and mampwebsite appear. 2. when downloading wp and placing it in the hcdocts folder and entering the data, it throws me the message: Error establishing a connection with the database. I have already installed mamp and wp on other PCs whit the same results. I would like to know what i should to configure additionally to solve this. Thanks.

After I hit "publish" where do the files go? How can I save the html files to my computer?
Oh, forgot to mention I added Mamp to Firewall. No joy, and then turned off Firewall, but no joy.
The "My Website" option isn't available for me. I've done everything and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

You have to make sure you select the MAMP in your folder. NOT MAMP PRO
