TH-cam suggested this video and so glad I clicked and watched!! I am a 65 year old Italian American woman that grew up in an Italian immigrant community in Bristol, R.I. where many of the Italian immigrants including my maternal grandparents came from Manfredonia in the Province of Foggia where they fished for a living which included my family. So much of what you showed in this video brought back many fond memories of my childhood. Most of my family lived in tenement apartments, and when the 1st family members being my great Aunt Carmella and Uncle Arthur were able to purchase a single family home with a basement that had a kitchen the whole family celebrated as that is where most of the family functions would take place from then on especially our Christmas Eve celebration. Coming from a commercial fishing family we had more like the Feast of the Fifty Fishes and most of the fish dishes were cooked in and eaten in Aunt Carmella's basement kitchen and as a result we all smelled like fish for days LOL. Thanks for the memories. 🥰

Relatives not too far from Foggia, I've visited Foggia a couple of times, my relatives from further up north very near Termoli, quiet area, untainted almost, I've visited there 20 times so far

Fantastic stuff. I live in California, but have always had an affinity for Pittsburgh, even though I have never actually visited, dang it! Love the Italian section and I am sure the people are terrific. More Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. Great episode.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, and every weekend we could we went to the strip. PennMac was always the first stop on our list. Ahhh, the smells! Bread, cheese, meats, olives, pasta, olive oil, we have nothing like this in Arizona. I've flown back to Pgh just to go to the strip.

Congrats to Sal, my favourite Italian, for touring the theaters throughout the US. I love the italian vibes,... like the old grandma´s of my hometone in Austria who kept the families together back in the day,.. good old days,.. sad those women are gone. Keep up your great work, showing a beautiful side of America and making people smile! Cheers

Ok Sal, after watching this and wishing I was closer to that Italian heritage, (I'm on the west coast of Canada), I have one question. How can there possibly be any skinny Italians? When you are surrounded by this much great food, how can anyone not be fat and sassy? 🤣🤣
I just found this series watching one of your interviews. Brilliant idea, and keeps you out there where people can see you. Not to mention we can find some great Italian food!! Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for people that love Italian food and great music!! Thank you!1

I wasn't able to make it , but you can bet yer ass I'll be back soon..Thanks for the vid an info

Sal just love you since I first saw you on AGT I was in tears when you won and got the golden buzzard from Heidi. I felt you should have won everything and was one of your biggest fans. Your personality and charm just won the nation. we love the old songs of yesteryear that you sing just as well or better than the great legends such as Frank Sinatra and a few others. You should be in Vegas making millions. Get real managers that can put you there. God bless you and I wish you great fortunes. Your friend from upstate NY Michael Torres. We live in Dannemora...
