Man, between Britt Baker/Adam Cole, and John Fetterman, watching this episode in 2023 is a trip.

Not surprised, for the girl at
      14:08 "I'm not some egomaniac"
12:47 ”I built this restaurant for people my own age"
having a restaurant was just a vanity trip.

Tony was depressed, which could be seen in his last 2 years of shooting for CNN. One can always question and hypothesise who was involved in a suicide, but ultimately the person who commits such a deed in the circumstances that Tony did (in Strassbourg fillming with Eric Ripert in 2018) and was in, leads to the explanation that there was no immediate actors that can be held accountable, but an accumulation of outside influences that are apparent in the episodes Tony shot in his life-time. To sum up: One can see the evolution of Tony's mindset and hopelessness in mankind throughout his career (expecting the great in humankind in his early career of making film, and then losing hope in his last couple of years filming) and I believe this ultimately led to him doing what he did. Watch Roadrunner, which is a movie about him, and you'll have a tiny glimpse into him as a person

So sad that they are opposed to the introduction of technology, and the influx of diversified cultures into their communities. These are positive changes that can inject much needed economic stimuli ., and create a better life for the new generations to come.

So traditional Italian and Germans are not diverse? In my experience "Diversity" as used today, is code for junkies and criminals on the welfare train.
