You had me at the channel name. Love this kind of stuff and do it all the time. Rule #1: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Rule #2: If it's broke, dissect it and either fix it or learn something. That's a win either way. Sometimes learning is the far more valuable -- got three U.S. Patents that way. Sold one for six figures. So keep it up Gage Fixes Everything and all you like-minded DIYers!
Better if you solder them and heat shrink. Those crimp connectors like to corrode and cause havoc. Put a little hot glue inside the shrink tube before shrinking and it will be water tight forever.
This is exactly what happened to me. The little shits only nibbled one wire the first day, the car still ran up until that point, although it coughed/chugged a little. Then a few days after they returned and chewed all my injector wireds but one.
@@TheGaginator Yeah for sure. I was lucky as he only charged me 100 for the whole job. I think he needed 3 or 4 new clips/connectors for the wires. It was done in half hour. How I've managed to prevent further problems with them coming in under the hood, is to just park my car in a different place every night. Before I was so anal about wanting the spot directly in front of my house, I've since learned a lesson, lol. Now I'll park on the next street over if I need to, anything to prevent this from happening again . I also didn't realize how common it actually is until it happened to me. They tried to make a nest in the very beginning, they chewed all my velcro covering to get to the nesting material inside that. There was even some evidence of droppings and cat food, lol
Could i just solder the wires together so i could still use the gray rubber piece on the top of the plug or is soldering not a good idea fornunder the hood?
For sure. Depends on the condition of the wires. Mine were nasty, so solder probably would not have stuck well without cleaning and flux, and the truck was out in a field.
I have the same problem but I have long enough wires to where I can just place it but one of my lock clips is broken on the side just like yours is does that give you trouble
My 2000 Kia Sportage EX the ignition coil plug connector is broken the wire is good what other plug connector can I use from is a 2007 to 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with that

HA thanks man! Love the kind words and encouragement. It's just what I love to do.
Four minutes in I decided to order the pigtails 😂
GOOD CHOICE!! haha.
@@TheGaginator yes! She's done and purring like a kitten. If only she WAS a cat to stop the rats from eating her wires 🙏
Very detailed. thanks so much for the video.
Thanks for watching!

My mechanic got the pig tail connectors today, he's coming back in awhile. Hopefully all goes well.
All but one!? That is so frustrating..... Replacing the pigtails is the best option for sure!

No actually, the connectors don't usually wiggle around if you seat them well. You can put some RTV across it if youd like
