    • @bradysimmons84
      @bradysimmons84 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Very in depth. At the same time, if u were the cars owner ..before taking it to a mechanic I would have bought and used that royal purple stuff and see if it fixed it..and if not, then take it in.
      So as an owner, start small and cheap. So maybe start backwards.
      As the mechanic, it's the opposite. Start with basics and work forward .
      That royal purple I believe has PEA. Only use fuel system cleaners with PEA. It's the only proven ingredient that works. Amsoil makes one with it too. I'm unsure who else .

      I took my truck to a shop that was in business for 40+ years. They couldn't figure out the problem, so I had to have it towed again. I didn't catch it that the mechanic couldn't be bothered to put the spark plugs back in spite of me supplying a set of new plugs.
      After the truck sat for two years, I cleaned it up to have it towed to another shop. Mud dauber nests everywhere! I reminded the new (to me) shop not to turn the crankshaft until any mud dauber dirt was cleared from the spark plugs holes and cylinders.

      thats the "factories" intent. they train all the "techs" to use scan tools. any trained monkey gets a job at fast lube these days. and the work quality is super low par. old school mechanics were like Vets, you knew the animal was sick, but it could not tell you its symptoms... they had to work all that out for themselves. made for real good mechanics in every workshop... all gone except for a few like Scotty..

    You saved me with the guidance and suggestion offered in this video when I desperately needed accurate answers while stranded in Nowheresville Florida! My 2008 XC90 went crazy on me, whereby it ultimately went into limp mode, a nerve racking experience while driving on the highway, which was indeed my experience. At first I figured my circumstances were the result of corrosion in the CEM; I opened everything everything up, found a ton of corrosion and followed your advice from a separate video involving a Nissan. I was so happy to successfully remove the corrosion and was certain that I could then continue my 1,000 mile road trip to visit my son for a weekend of camping; however, I was mistaken, whereby the situation did not improve in the least. While dangerously making my way down the highway in limp mode in an attempt to find an autoparts store, I felt overwhelmed with uncertainty with regard to what needed to be done and my uncertainty of what that action entailed. After finding an autoparts store, I went through the following attempts to no avail: changed the upstream oxygen sensors, MAF sensor, and fuel rail position sensor. I then came across this video...I followed your guidance precisely down to the particular brand (though while keeping the vehicle in park, yet maintaining 4,000 RPMs nonetheless) and yes sir, it fixed everything! I am happy and grateful beyond words, and am rather amazed that universe enabled me to address unreleated though important maintenance issues along the way, by way of your guidance!
