The fire monsters died because they were hit in their core or heart, it was explained in the episode that it was their weakness.

The opening for this anime is the best one I've ever heard! It's absolutely amazing! Now for the show. If I had to rate it as far as first impressions go I would say 8/10. Animation is a solid 9/10. The story isn't very unique if you've seen blue exorcist xD, but I'd still give it a 8/10 plot wise. As far as the characters we've been introduced with it's a very colorful cast and so far almost all of them are likable to a certain extent (except the second in command, imo anyway, i'm sure he'll have his moments to impress in the future though) so I'd rate this aspect of the show a solid 9/10. So for the first episode this anime overall from my judgement is an 8.5/10. This is insanely good as far as first episodes! I can't wait to see how they blow me away in the future!
The MC looks like a bad guy because its the same artist who made soul eater. He usually potrays his MC's that way...
Vinland Saga is the must watch anime. I already know its going to fly under the radar because its a masterpiece of a Seinen and not a shonen. you guys gotta check it out

Side note, him smiling doesn't always equal tense, it means it could be tense, like he still smiles if he's happy or excited
Anubis-Void he almost never actually smiles, he only did it at the end of the first episode. His true smile is when he doesn’t show razor-sharp teeth, it looks like a normal innocent smile.

Shinra reminds me so much of soul eater evans from soul eater and I know that’s because the creator made both Soul Eater and Fire Force but that’s great because Soul Eater was amazing and the Soul Eater Evan’s character was really well done

The machine gun is a normal machine gun; Infernals are destroyed when their cores are damaged and they still have physical bodies, it’s just the burnt and emancipated remains of the people they were before hand. So a Machine gun should in practice still work; but, as i think they showed in this episode, i think they only use it for distraction purposes.
the animations was stupendous, every movements “wow" specially the fire they give more emphasis, it was splendid and breathtaking, jawdropping

Kimchi & Tofu, I will give you a really good heads up and idea of the anime (for many of your questions during this video.) The reason the FireFighters use these specific weapons/outfits is according to their ability, Takehisa (the guy with the Uzi) has the second generation ability to manipulate flames, with the bullets/gun he has, he's able to make the impact bigger, smaller; change trajectory, speed and have it able to be ricochet. The reason for this is to divert the Infernal's attention including being deadly. Maki, the female with the wizard firefighter hat, has the second generation ability too, able to control fire to her bidding, she's able to absorb heat or have it as a trajectory (in the scene where the firefighter was attacked and said "hot," he WAS on fire, she touched his back to remove all heat and use it to revert the direction into a trajectory to the infernal.) She's also skilled at combat and she has the ability to create giant fireballs and fire spirits (little balls of fire to help her.) She also wears the Witch hat because, believe it or not; she is known as a Witch because of her powers she has uniquely. Iris, is a Sister from the Holy Sol Temple, she has no abilities, but she is qualified to have prayers to allow infernals die restfully, she also has medical knowledge to help wounds. Akitaru (The Command for company 8) has no abilities but is physically strong, hence the reason he uses tools and in the first scene of him blowing the core of the infernal, he pulled a trigger to allow a pressure of fire to blow the core. As for Shinra, he's damn unique (No spoilers in that, it's the main character who made Soul Eater, the main character is always strong, if you wanna know something about him; I left a spoiler about Shinra, for those who are little impatient or rather not read the manga.) Shinra has the third generation ability to control, create, and use flames; specifically at his heels/feet, in the manga; we know the force of this attack is enough to sever limbs in general and enough to lift HEAVY objects in the sky, as the third generation; unlike the 2nd, they can't specifically control an open fire, only the ones they create, but they're 100% resistant to fire externally. Shinra will be taught by the commander specific ways to manipulate his characteristics (not a spoiler as we saw Maki do it in the Anime.) The Third generation were people who had the power of infernals, they were more or less prob 1/4 infernal, that's why they have the ability to physically make fire from their body itself. Also, Shinra's ability was so powerful that he was held in a company facility with special equipment to hold his power back, this also forced the scientific development team to further advance their research in terms for Shinra and other powerful users.

If you're reading this, it's not my fault for the spoiler for the main character (there's a more sinister and dark spoiler about Shinra's relation but that's too much of a spoiler, if you wanna know I will tell gladly) Shinra has a rare ability called the Adolla Burst, there's only from what we know from the manga, 6 pillars of these Adolla Burst users, Shinra being the 4th pillar. The ability of the Adolla Burst is the ability to be able to have the Divine Protection of Adolla (Hence ADOLLA Burst) while he's under this effect, his body divides into particles and can surpass the speed of light, he can go back in time to have his body materialize again, when his desire increase; his power of the Adolla Burst increases too. There's more to learn about Shinra and his power. Infact, the power of this Adolla Burst is so powerful and sought for, other companies (Some firefighters specifically) and antagonists are in the want of it, trying anything to get it; it's known that the Company finds this power out and tries their best to protect specifically Shinra with everything they have, that's how powerful the ability is. This power is so desired in other words.

And all of them involve the exorcism of demons.

The Entire Special Fire Force Squads (and there are 8 of them) are basically made-up of Fire Benders and Priests or Nuns of the Sun (Fire) Religion. And yes, their job is mostly to contain infernals, but because they can control fire, they can also join in any missions that involve fire disasters.
The Manga has been great so far, and with the twists involving Secret Groups and the reason for the existence of infernals has been touched upon but are side-tracked due to (believe you me) Politics.
Hes evil she says that as he saves a nuns life
you will see a LOT of unique ways the fire can be used, lightsabers, corpsecontrol, mindcontrol, time-space control, even using fire to create ice, look forward to it
The story does touch on how people react to this time bomb like lifestyle, so yeah this story has some unique and depress world building and subject.

It seems that they do have a pysical form, they did mentioned that they were aiming for its core, so it makes sense that they need a resistance to fires and weapons that can get through fire like metal weapons and bullets

And u guys missed the point The priest is the one who prays for the souls of the innocence and put them to rest the demon and the human soul. Thats why they pray before they kill the demon because they also need to save the ppl that was possessed.

Just about all the fire force members have fire-based abilities. Each of them has their own unique fire ability. Some of them have the ability to create fire-like shines, others can only manipulate it.

He's a 3rd generation pyrokinetic, they can shoot flames basically, 2nd generation pyrocinetics like the girl that gets a purple glow in her eyes (aka the "mage") can control flames but can't produce their own flames without tools like a lighter or such, and 1st generation are the infernals, he's not evil he's just a 3rd generation pyrokinetic, there are more pyrocinetics.
