I've been playing with Head Radical Pro for some time. It's super flexible and gives power but launchy. I finally got my hands on a Prestige Pro. I was specifically intrigued by the differences in what 18 x 20 could do for me. I'm not disappointed. The control and precision are classic and marvelous plus you get flatter more powerful shots but still can spin when you need to. It's pretty amazing. The auxetic has helped in feel and shock absorption. They both are arm friendly due to the auxetic. But the Prestige Pro is stiffer in a good way. Swing away power when you need it! I'm mainly using this for doubles right now. A friend said that this type of string pattern is great for doubles and volleys. I totally agree. I hit a lot of flatter shots and volleys in doubles and seems to shine there. I look forward to trying it in singles too. My serves might be slightly less powerful but so much more controlled and consistent. Frist serve percentage way up! I think there's more power to be tapped as I get more familiar with it.

The MPL is going to be an amazing platform racket.

Ι think a racket like a Gravity 98 pro is what head has to to work on and take the market

Yeah but it would have killed prestige and radical line. That's why speed and gravity series stuck on 100inch

Just go with the Pro and add leather grip and some lead tape to the hoop. and then call Wawrinka.

MP in Prestige line now stands for "Main Performance" not Mid Plus.
The Mid Plus in the line is the Prestige Pro

Still haven’t found anything to stand up to my Wilson pro staff 90’s but this new tour Prestige def looks tasty.

The new pro is my favorite as my play style. I play a more flatter game and I like to generate my own power. The biggest negative side of the pro is the serve.. the serve is much more demanding with the pro than the tour due to the weight in the handle and no free power from the frame.

The 2021 and 2023 Prestige line actually have big sweetspots.

  • @drs-rs310

I played with the new tour and pro, the tour is the most demanding. The pro is more whippey threw the air the only thing what is lacking with the new pro is power. So players who can’t deliver this don’t go to the new pro. The tour is more power and stiff but still comfortable but the higher swingweight makes it more demanding in compare to the smaller head size

  • @benjaminjensen111

The Prestige Tour is the retail racket which is maybe closest to what Djokovich plays with. (no he does not play with Speed, his rackets is only paintet like a Speed).

The only thing that’s similar is the headsize. He uses a 18x19 string pattern with a ton of lead at 3 and 9 so the weight is not even close

stock static weight, headsize and beam width and yoke and RA/flexrating etc is simular.
      Adding more weight is optional.
it means you can take this racket and costumize it to his preferred specs with lead tape and basically have his racket.
it means he could probably take the Prestige Tour and add the weight in the places he usually do and win a Roland Garros with it.
18 x 19 pattern is 2 strings more in the side where there is no sweetspot. This difference in string pattern can be tuned to be the same by tension and string choice. What is important is the pattern/the squares around the hitting zone. Also here the tour is quite simular to Djokovich's Pro Stock racket.
Then there is the matter of him adding 1 centimeter to the handle. Also this can be molded/added on easily with a silikone mold and rigid foam. Thats what his racket service does.
      My point was this.
The Prestige Tour is the closest thing you have in retail to the racket of Djoko. all the adding on can be done to this racket and make it like his.
The Prestige Tour is the closets thing in retail to His stock form racket without the adding on.

His racquet came from the mold that produced the I.Radical, Liquidmetal Radical and Flexpoint. Are you saying that same mold is what was used for this Prestige tour? We’ll agree to disagree on the string pattern being the same. You’re essentially saying a 16x19 will play the same as a 18x19 because the only thing different is the outer strings. I haven’t hit with the Prestige tour so I can’t speak to the string spacing in the middle but there can be plenty of variations to a 16x19 in regards to how open it is. I own Liquidmetal radical and the Liquidmetal radical tour(what he used before switching to Wilson I think) and the launch angle is low which makes sense when you see how flat Novak hits. I’ve yet to hit any 16x19 that has a launch angle as low as a 18x19. Ultimately if you think the Prestige tour is the closest thing to his racquet than go ahead and buy it. The people who have hit with his pro stocks say the flexpoint radical is the closest thing to what his racquet feels like so I would say by that radical and add weight

      Not same mold. But close.
      What I say is this:
I think Prestige Tour 2021/2023 comes close.
95" 315 grams unstrung will be 323 strung. adding 12 grams lead ( 6 at 3 and 6 at 9) is 335. Adding two overgrips like Djoko is 347 and then some extra length , 2,5 mm/0.10 inch = extra weight you reach the 353 ( apply a wood block or rigid foam with homemade silikone mold).
Only "big" difference is string pattern in mains... but the mittle/strikezone is simular pattern. so the difference can be adjustet with tension. the 19 cross for control is there. the same amount of spin potiential is there in strike zone/sweetspot
Prestige Tour has almost same as Djoko's RA/flex ( 63 vs 65), exact same beam 22 mm, exact same balance strung 32.5 , exact same yoke grommets (different form the other Prestiges). Same swingweight after same modification he does to the PT113B
I would make the thesis that Djoko striking the ball with a Prestige Tour adding the same lead and the same extra length as he does to the Pro Stock PT113B ( TI/Radical Mold) etc... he would not be finding himself in strange land racket wise.
This is the racket on retail today (not ebay) closest to the goat's.
If he had to play a match picking a racket from a retail store on the street. This is the one he would grab.
      You can disagree.Its fine

I’m looking for a new racket and have nailed it down to these lot :
    Yonex Ezone 98
    Yonex Vcore 98
    Babolat Pure Aero
    Wilson Blade
    Wilson pro staff
    (Maybe other Wilson )
Which would you say is best for my style of play which is very briefly an agressive player that hits serves flat or with spin, backhands flat, for hands flat and with topspin, If I can’t finish the point quickly then I love to add slices to my game… I really like playing at the net to finish a point quickly. Overall I like playing all over the court.
Thanks for the help and great vid again

@@ph-tennis firstly I’m trying to nail it down to 6 in different departments that I’ll then play test…
I read loads of very good things about the Ezone, which lead me to look at other Yonex racquets hence the Vcore…
( for the Ezone I also like Ben Shelton’s play style)
For the pure Aero once again I know loads of people who play it and they all love it. It could also suite my play style based off what I’ve read.
For the Wilsons it’s a bit silly but I know how good their racquets had been in the past so also went to look at which latest models would suit me best…
What I haven’t added were the head, technifibre and maybe other makes as I haven’t done much research. I have heard decent things about the Head Boom

Dudes are basically all telling the same story without understanding some important aspects. The MP L is meant to be a platform racquet, u can turn it into a way better frame than radical or speed ever gonna be. The stiffness and beam width is very different on both radical and speed... they don't have the buttery, comfortable feel of a Prestige/Gravity.

More gimmicky marketing crap from Head. Auxetic 2.0, Auxetic, Graphene, Innegra, Microgel, Flexpoint, 3DO etc etc. If this stuff was any good they would still be in all their racquets.

What he is referring to is that there is a wide misunderstanding that static weight is important. 5 10 15 grams of difference in static weight doesn't say anything. Whether you're able to swing the racket has everything to do with swing weight, spin weight and secondary the balance.
I swing a racket with 350 grams static weight with easy while the swing weight is just under 330. If it was the other way around, 330 grams and 350 swing weight i would not be able to swing it consistently over a long period
