A double stop is when we play two notes at the same time on the violin. Double stops are used in fiddling, classical music, and a wide variety of other genres. Knowing how to play this technique will give you a leg up no matter what genre of music you like to play!

Amazing.i am learning the Grade 4 Violin First piece and the rhythm is fast Teri Teri
Where it is AEAE,BEAE then it moves to fourth Finger on E in D Syring and 0 in E string
Teri teri rhythm.The passage is fast and it is difficult to intonate E note with fourth finger.It is clumpsy.
Any advise is welcome
That sounds challenging! For fast passages, try practicing slowly at first, focusing on accuracy and intonation. Gradually increase the speed as you become more comfortable. Using a metronome can help. Try out our free metronome here: violinspiration.com/free-online-metronome/. Also, make sure your fingers are relaxed and close to the strings for quicker movements. Keep practicing, and you'll get there!
@Violinspiration thanks .Nearly got it.the idea is to not lift the fourth finger but to play A on 4th finger DString ,then play open A on A string.
It is clumsy still but I have to pull the D string so that the vibration does not affect the A string.

I still find 'double stops' diffiult and I really wish I was better at them. They're everywhere and I guess it's just one of those things that takes time + effort. Continually practicing them is probably my big mistake as getting them down pat is just a case of 'doing it' 'doing it' and 'doing it' again, everyday, every dang day !!
I understand the challenges double stops bring, but it will get easier with practice. Keep going, you've got this 💪
