It amazes me how you can tell by the sound, "Sounds like a Civil War bullet. Yep, Civil War bullet." When I get a signal I figure it could be anything from an engine block to a beer tab.
NN, I'm glad that that site was respected and presented for all of us. So many sites throughout the country are now lost forever under highways or buildings. Cheers, Rik Spector
Used to do a lot of arrow head hunting thru Ky. And Indiana, never left a field empty handed!! In my earlier years of hunting in Ky, I found a number of burial caves, along the Cumberland river, and due to the fact of a local big wig, Doc. Who was also the main polittion in the County. Who was known for luteing burial grounds. I spent hours after school, packing stones and dirt to try and seal them off from sight. Been many years ago, but still hope they haven't been found!!!
Michael thank you for being so enthusiastic and kind to others ! I prefer these videos to your scuba diving ones .... thank you for being the Christian man that you are !
God bless you Nugget for being a Christian role model for the youth . Most of the secular so called role models don't need to be any where around kids .May God bless and keep you and yours .
Very interesting! I've been researching noticing that ancient burials around the entire world including even a Neanderthal burial have been found with a disarticulated foot or feet! Speaks of a much more ancient burial practices. Great to see this! Thanks!
I bought a cheapo off eBay for my first one. An MD3010ii. Don't waste your money. Just in case I didn't or couldn't stick with the hobby, I wouldn't be out a lot of money. Shortly after I quickly realized that I want to get in the water. My sis bought me a Discovery 3300 from Costco for about $100. Better than what I had but still not submersible. Then I won a SimplEX later on. That one can go under water. Now I need to buy a boat. A 50ft houseboat should be good for a start. Yeah, the Mrs didn't see the logic in that either.
Why did thay remove my ancestors Bones from the mounds that's not cool I know it wasn't you nugget but the original bones need to put back if the rightful resting place any idea who I can talk to about that
Been there for the diamonds stopped in there. Seen some suspect items in the shop that claimed authentic but otherwise decent for a tourist area. I’d recommend still just be a bit cautious.
Not episode related, but what is the cheapest you would go for a gold/silver detector. Use will primarily for prospecting. And suggestions for a pinpointer as well would be nice. Would be used around water fairly often
Hey Jeremy, Garrett AT Pro is what I recommend. For the pinpointer, get the Garrett Pro Pointer AT (Waterproof to 20ft deep). If you’re in the US, please feel free to check www.battleground-detectors.com/. Free shipping on metal detector orders. Thank you for watching!
@Bigdogbourne, THANK YOU! What a shame somebody makes money from a grave. Like I said in another post - what if great aunt Sally was dug up and a pearl necklace was sold.?
What a cool event. I didn't even no about this one. The next one is on my birthday and this would be great to be able to go to. I've never been too a seated hunt. Nice morgan and peace dollar nugget!
So do they plant that stuff, or is it genuinely been there stuck in the ground? I mean, with that volume of people, surely it's almost all already been dug up
It's so cool to see kids that have an interest in the history that goes with metal detecting. You've inspired an interest in a lot of people. Great job!
You are wise Dahar Master, I agree! A site like that is meant for first timers. An established metal detectorist at an event like that should just be available to assist the newbies & not search themselves. I am aware Nugget does help others frequently though who are new to the hobby. I hope he gave what he found away.
I really love your channel, the energy and positive attitude you have and that you're metal detecting, which I can't do in Sweden without super hard to get permits (takes at least 1 year to get approved) and no historical sites are allowed. I guess people do it anyways, no police in the woods lol... But I don't want to risk it, so I enjoy your channel instead :D
I live in El Dorado which is only 105 miles southeast of Murfreesboro. I'm going to try my best to make Ka-Do-Ha this October. This will be my first time there. Hope you'll be able to make it also Michael! Would like to meet you. Thanks for this video for inspiration! Also, being I'm an extreme metal detecting novice, I would probably have to use the kids area (even though I'm 49 ha!) but I'm afraid they would show me up. 😁😁
Have any of you guys heard about the hundreds of unmarked graves found through out Canada ? These were kids taken from there parents and had to live in residential schools !!!! Pretty messed up $;/ !!$& .
It amazes me how you can tell by the sound, "Sounds like a Civil War bullet. Yep, Civil War bullet." When I get a signal I figure it could be anything from an engine block to a beer tab.
My family went there 2 years ago. They liked it, and it was raining 🌧
I live in Arkansas, I love finding treasure out on the property. Thanks for a great video

I know I'm going to catch alot of hate, but I was always told it was illegal to sell Indian artifacts and civil war battlefield finds.
@Bigdogbourne, THANK YOU! What a shame somebody makes money from a grave. Like I said in another post - what if great aunt Sally was dug up and a pearl necklace was sold.?

there are big nugget hunters in Oz that tow a huge loop coil behind a 4 wheel bike...like that hanging out of the pickup
That lipstick case is a spencer rifle casing I think
What a cool event. I didn't even no about this one. The next one is on my birthday and this would be great to be able to go to. I've never been too a seated hunt. Nice morgan and peace dollar nugget!

As the Klingon metal detectorist once said " there is no honor in finding silver at a seeded hunt"
