Got the survey done. Is there somewhere that I can get into contact with you? I have a few questions and I feel like you would be the best person to answer them.
In the old box, was not years of collecting, it was a lifetime of projects. I do the same, when I disassemble something to see what makes it tic. Or when I have a build project that does not require a certain item recovered from my lifetime inventory, or that I had found, salvaged or purchased. I place it in my box labeled, "Miscellaneous To Sort and Arrange." It is a lifetime of projects you are going through young man. Remember, every single nail, bolt, pin, screw, clamp, connector, etc. etc. was put the box, one at a time as the person thought, maybe it could be used at a later time. Wonderful looking through the old box of rusted memories with you. I hope whoever finds my box of Miscellaneous to sort and arrange, takes the same care. Greetings from an old Man in Northern Michigan. I truly enjoyed your video.
The round piece with two slots is part of an old electric cord plug. It sealed off the wire connections so you couldn’t touch them. Obviously the blacksmith tongs, blower and drill have some value. Good stuff. Blessed.
Man I could use every single item in that workshop, very jealous. The drill press, forge blower, and crosscut saws are all worth fortunes. Not to mention all of the other stuff.
This reminds me of going through all the drawers and bins in my Dad's shed after he passed away. He died in 1999, and had been a mechanic, an assembler, fisherman, boat builder, and a member of Nascar (1963/64,) plus was a very good carpenter, plumber, and jack-of-all-trades. Having been born during The Great Depression, he never threw anything away. That stuff was there all my life, but I never felt comfortable going through his stuff until he'd passed and I pretty much had to. Amazed by the wonderful relics I found! That's history, right there at your fingertips!

The Mad Smith ...He didn't even acknowledge that blower and it's the most valuable item in the shed! The drill press is not bad either... You could fill a truck with that stuff!
Whoa Nugget, that little tool shop is a gift that keeps on giving! 4:48 looks like a weight used with a balance beam type of scale. I thought I saw the beam leaning in the corner by the box of bottles. The small box of assorted bits had a button hook, tool used to aid in fastening shoe buttons. All those smithing tools, that blower, the hand operated drill press...if the owner plans on discarding all that stuff offer to haul it away for him, I wish I could! ONE THING, careful of bottles found in sheds! Farmers used them to mix chemicals like pesticides and herbicides. Some are toxic and were banned long ago but can still be potent. People still find old containers of stuff like DDT in old farm sheds.
Just brilliant watching you rummage in the old shed. It's weeks worth right there. Then the dirt in the floor of the place would no doubt have loads of things. Another great vid Nugget! Survey complete too.
The black disk with two rectangular holes is used on old electrical plugs to insulate over the screws so the wires and screws don't get messed up and short out. If you have an old fan or lamp with a two pin duplex conector. Sometimes they had a handle area but most old ones were just round.
As a blacksmith, I'd love to save and use even one of those pairs of tongs, that old champion blower could be used even if it's frozen, that is an old drill press that is still usable! All I can say is Wow! Please Nug, save those tools for folks to use them again!
I would have had to back the truck up to the door! All the old forging tools, blower, the saw blade, WOW! And the shed its self, how awesome to have something like that on your property! You are indeed blessed to be able to do what you do! Thank you for posting!!
A little rust doesn't hurt anything! Some TLC, in the form of rust remover [where needed] and light lubricating oil, and those tools will be ready to work again!
Cool finds, nice job You obviously are not an old tool guy! I was foaming at the mouth with the tools I saw and I'm sure there were lots more I didn't see.
I love watching your adventures. I sit in anticipation to what your going to dig up next. I also love that you include Bible Verses at the beginning and/or end of your videos. It's very uplifting to watch a video without swearing.
I will 100% do the survey. I honesty could not think of someone better than you to do something like that. You not only have the charisma but the integrity to put together a great source for beginners. I sure hope you go through with it and good luck.
When I use to find an old abandoned shop like that, I loved just picking up the old tools and looking at them. Some time in the past someone made or purchased these tools, and was very happy to have them and was proud of them. He took care of them perhaps as he walk out of the shop at night he would put his hand on that drill press and marvel at the convenience of it after years of a hand drill or even maybe a brace and bit. Then he got old and could not get out to his shop to take "His" tools in his hands and admire them. Then one day he died and his tools now lay neglected, unloved and rusting away. It is sad, but it also gives me a comfortable feeling as I give them another loving touch before they are gone and try to get a feel for the man who once was so proud of them being "His."
So cool to see all the old items you find. Thanks for this channel you do for us, love it. Thank you also for your encouraging scriptures at the beginning of your videos. Keep doing things the way you do them! Thank you.
As usual, another superb video, Nugget. Thanks so much for sharing so many interesting videos. I often view many of your earlier ones and see how they have reached a stage of excellence.
I would have so much fun in there! Right up my alley as well. I could spend hours going through everything! Nice video. Thanks for taking us in the shed! Love it!
I did your survey and I enjoyed doing it for you I hope this little adventure goes well for you and you help and educate people good on you for doing this
Wow that place is nice! That is a drill press, looks 1800's to me especially having a hand crank. The fact that it works makes it that much more valuable.
Oh wow, Nugget, I love thing-a- bobbers. Not everyone knows what that is. I like the knife handle. Keep on searching. That’s my kind of shopping. Good luck to you and God bless.
Watching these videos reminds me of when I used to live with my grandfather God rest his soul. Some of the stuff I found on his farm was pretty cool like arrow heads, old coins, and old musket balls
Half of that stuff should be in a museum, nice find. I was told that those insulators are more desirable if they have the wood mount with them. Another great video.
just filled out the survey! would love to see you around here in newfoundland Canada! I live in a small settlement and I've been mapping out settlements that are around me that are untouched by any people who metal detect. my home is always open so if you ever make your way here my family would love to have you stay!
Filled out the survey. Thank you for making these videos. I especially love the burnt down mansion video. I got into metal detecting because of watching your videos.
I filled out your survey and i don’t live in Ethiopia just made a mistake! And great finds, those tops and stuff would make great steampunk stuff or refurbished stuff into something. Keep them coming and god blessed us with you, thx
I love watching your videos. You are so cool. I have been detecting since 1973. He you, or anyone you know of, personaly used one of those long range detectors? The ones with several antennae sticking out. They just look so skammy but some are several thousands of dollars.
That place was awesome. Every year I go to a tractor steam up with a huge tool flea market. I always find some neat old $1 tools to restore/clean in the piles of stuff farmers bring.
Seeing that stuff made me think of when I would rifle through my fathers collection of items in his workshop many years back. I should've kept a few of them when I had the chance; it's all gone now. Junk man took it (a burnt out trailer) and everything that accompanied the trailer away. Thanks for the video.
So enjoy seeing these finds in an old wooden building, reflecting a time when useful items were not discarded. Would be cool to make folk art out of them.
One other thought, suggestion from the old Man in North Michigan. Explore your find further, look in the rafters, look close to the foundation and under the floor boards. Look for large rocks or outhouse locations around the building. Here, you will find the secrets and the treasures of the lifetime projects. Remember, what is valuable, does not get thrown into a box of miscellaneous to sort and arrange.
Hey! Could Y'all please fill out this short survey on metal detecting: bit.ly/2N4JLzI Thank you so much and Enjoy the video!
Got the survey done. Is there somewhere that I can get into contact with you? I have a few questions and I feel like you would be the best person to answer them.
Done.
those tools are worth thousands of $$ man
The survey only asked for your country and state. No addresses are collected. Sorry you didn’t like it.
Just country and state are needed. No other info about location

The piece that had "Model C" on it, is a part to an early Edison Phonograph reproducer for playing wax cylinders.... Nice find!
The round piece with two slots is part of an old electric cord plug. It sealed off the wire connections so you couldn’t touch them.
Obviously the blacksmith tongs, blower and drill have some value.
Good stuff. Blessed.
I hope you rescue those old forging tools...

i want to get away with trespassing day in and day out like the nug.
Those old blacksmithing tools are worth alot to the right person. They don't make new tools like the old quality tools of years gone by.
@@emergentBehaviour did you miss what he said at 4:52?

Some of those old tools are really valuable and collectable, somebody would pay good money for them!
Conor I would
Most of those tools are worth a fortune!
@@pashahart8698 People like you help support my business :) i buy and restore tools for resale, its nice to see people still care.

That champion forge blower at 4:00 is worth quite a lot!
The Mad Smith ...He didn't even acknowledge that blower and it's the most valuable item in the shed! The drill press is not bad either... You could fill a truck with that stuff!

Yep
Wow! What a wonderful find! It would be hard not to take it all home and comb through it very slowly. Lots of fun! Thanks for t asking us along.
That old post drill and the vise are really good finds. Some of those old tools are begging for restoration, especially the drill. Nice find!

What a shame that all those tools are just being left out in that old workshop to rust away. Great video. 🙂
For real you could do A lot of utube tool rebuilds.
augusta keebler Too right! 👍🏻
