Oh God finally. I am refreshing TH-cam for the past 24 hours and nothing super relevant related to M3 Pro vs M2 Pro yet. So glad you posted this! Thanks
Same haha
Same here!! The max is just too expensive to justify but the Pro seems a nice middle ground.
Same 😂😂😂
Same here 4 😂😂
Thank you!
Absolutely SPECTACULAR video! Thorough, unbiased, and easy to understand. No joke, this is one of the best product reviews of this kind I’ve seen on TH-cam. 👍 ALSO, it makes me super happy that I invested in the M1 Ultra 128GB machine as it is still just a BEAST 😄
Yes that machine will continue to be a beast and they are getting cheaper now as well, which makes them even a better buy!
Hey man, do you use up all the 128gb ram in yellow or red memory pressure? I heard macOS will fill as much as possible to the ram if there are availability, having it fill up nearly full doesn't mean one will need it and filled it with essential data, hence I not sure if one truly going to utilise that 128gb ram, but 5 years down the road it will be useful? Since when we have 32gb of ram in common laptop and desktop and how many years for it to reach a point it's the recommended or minimum need and not the more than needed purchase? Even your machine going to need that amount of ram, do the rest of your system going to able to catch up but end up still need to upgrade the whole system?
@@NetvoTV Typically if I have Topaz Photo AI processing photos in the background while I continue to work in Lightroom, I will see 64GB to 96GB of memory being actively used. The majority of that memory is used by the GPU cores, followed by CPU cores then NPU cores. I have seen the memory maxed out, but I have to try hard to make that happen by having 4 or 5 instances of Topaz Photo AI working at the same time for example. I believe the extremely fast memory throughput on the Ultra machines REALLY has a big impact on the speed that it is able to complete many tasks since it is two to four times faster than on the base, pro or max models to different degrees. I truly believe and have seen clear proof of what Apple claims, that you actually do need less memory than on Intel machines but also that the INCREDIBLY FAST memory transfer rates on the Ultra chips in particular are able to share data between the CPU, GPU, and NPU cores in a way that has a radical effect on speed.
Howmuch did the ultra cost u??
I can’t believe you put this much energy into a comparison video. Truly spectacular. Hands down one of the best comparison videos I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much!!
Thanks again!
This is the exact review I've been looking for in my life. Great great thanks
No problem!
This is the information I needed. THANK YOU!
😁
So glad I found this channel, you helped me pick the right device for myself through your real world use case and comparison videos. Thank you for the incredible work, you provide more value than any other tech youtube channel!
Great to hear!
prob the best channel for indepth testing and valued conclusions. glad i found this channel randomly the other day.
Welcome aboard!
Thank you for these videos! You do a GREAT job!
Welcome!
Phenomenal work and information. The hard work you put into these is evident. These real comparisons help us users know beyond benchmarks how a machine performs. So happy you do this and please keep up the hard work! Love your content.
Thank you!
Another amazing video. Thanks so much
Thanks
Best chanel for in depth Macs comparisons!!!
thank you!
Damn, this video was a lot of work! No boomy bloated narration, just ALL facts and even chapters! Thank you!!
Thank you!
Art as always fantastic video! Thank you for your thorough approach and wise recommendations!
My pleasure!
Outstanding job, thank you.
Thank You!
Fantastic comparison, lots of well explained information, thank you very much 👏👏👏
My pleasure!
Mindful Review. The best review I have ever seen so far. Make a lot of sense. Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you for your speedy tests! Can't wait for the next and hopefully you would include some more tests about AI & Video processing, with more RAM and CPU cores, for sure.
That will have to come later via Topaz apps
i always look for your macbook pro reviews. thank you
You're Welcome!
Amazing video, well spoken and visualized. My M3 Max arrives tomorrow.
That machine is a beast!
YOU ARE LEGEND! Thanks for detailed review
Thank you!
I think this is really the best TH-cam video so far to compare the M pro series, I'm really looking forward to seeing the M3 max binned and unbinned vs M2/M1 Max
Coming tomorrow, part of it anyway
Thank you so much, I was so much waiting for Macbook Pro M3pro review.
😁
THANK YOU FOR THIS VID, THIS SERIES, & THIS CHANNEL. I’m tired of watching bums run benchmarks for base models for people who are going to look at emails and corn. This is the data that’s important and thank you again for actually doing real workflow test not just grabbing numbers from someone else’s website.
More to come! 😁
Great great review!
Thanks!
Wow, this is a perfect video. I was deciding whether to get M3 Pro or M1 Max laptop for photo-editing work and this completely covered the subject. Tons of respect to you for this extend of tests and machines coverage!
You're very welcome!
your videos are very useful.
Glad you think so!
Finally!!!:) excellent video!!!
Thanks!
A TH-cam who finally fully compared M1 Pro, M2 Pro and M3 Pro chips
😁
Wow, this is a legit comparison! Much appreciated! Better than the "Wow look at this color and does it pass the fingerprint test" reviews
I can test those too ;)
All I do is lightroom stuff for my my pics from canon R6 and chrome with 12 tabs open. M2 pro 1tb ssd 32 gb of m3 pro 36 gb 1tbssd
This is what I needed! ❤️🔥
Thank you!
what i was looking for !!!
Yay!
What a gorgeous video!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
This is by far the most valuable and practical Mac CPU family comparison guide I've seen. Instead of relying on benchmarking software, use the real case scenario that image/video creators care about most. Thank you. You deserve more subscriptions and clicks.
Much appreciated!
Art is BEST! Thank you for the review!
You bet!
Such a good review
Thank you
The best review!
Thanks!
Thanks so much such hard work. Real professional, not like the rest of Apple sales force (TH-camrs reviewers unboxers, etc).
I appreciate that!
Thanks Art!
You bet!
Thanks Art.. I'm waiting for M3 15" macbook Air & M3 Studio Series.. hopefully this spring!!
I hear you!
You are well spoken. Like a professor. Good video.
Thank you! 😃
Really appreciate the video! Thank you for making this!
As someone switching from a 2018 Mac Air to an M chip, I'm sure everything will be significantly better... But this helps with the confusion around which to buy.
Significantly! :)
Fantastic info that no-one else seems to be putting out there, thanks Art. $10 tip coming your way!
Much appreciated!
Very informative detailed facts. I tend to keep my equipment longer than most so I agree how Apple is slowly introducing upgrades as to not making the previous machines obsolete sooner.
Thanks for sharing
Thank You 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
You ar THE BEST Bro😮👏👏👏👏
😀
Thanks!
Welcome!
Tx so much.
😀
Great video, exactly what I am looking for. I wish you would show real life use of the programs like you did for the RAM video, scrubbing through video and applying masks. These are more important to me than import and export times tbh. But besides that, love your videos!
The variation is null, for RAM get what you need any more. Personally for me I have a 128 GB M2 Ultra and I'm super happy, hardly max out the RAM, did that all the time in 64GB. But this is me. And as good as these bench are there are still variation between real scenario and bench test.
what tasks were you maxing out 64GB with? I never really considered 128GB ram but I'm about to spend $4000+ on an M3 Max config and want to make sure that additional ram isn't needed. I regularly work in Adobe lightroom with hundreds of 45mp Canon R5 files, some HDR merging, and 4k editing of the tough h265 codec from the R5 in DaVinci and FCP.
THS IS AMAZING, and super fascinating. I would have never expected such mixed results. Its so awkward for Apple. Also, thank you for calling out Capture One!
Thank you, been doing that for about 4 years now, things have not change much
Great video, very informative - many thanks! I'd be interested in more AI tests, including generative fill and expand in PS, but also other tools such as Topaz Photo AI and Video AI and maybe Luminar Pro too. AI is growing fast, so your insights into how apps are using CPU/GPU/NPU and how each SOC performs would be really interesting.
👍🏼
Appreciate the very detailed review and comparison of the M3 Pro! I love the fact you threw in a Razer machine in there to compare! Do you plan to also throw in things like Topaz Photo AI tests in there anytime soon? Am curious to see if they are using GPU or NPU as well! Looking forward to the M3 max video!
later on....
Very good video, thanks! I have a 16” M1 Pro with 16 GB Ram and 1TB SSD. I’m very pleased with it. I’m only a hobbyist with an old Nikon D3s stitching pictures together using Affinity Photo. And sometimes I shoot some videos on my iPhone and render them on Davinchi Resolve. For my usage my M1 Pro spoils me, but it’s interesting to see that a M1 Pro still performs well compared to both the M2 Pro and M3 Pro! It tells me I did something right when I bought my mac almost two years ago! 😊
Same - we don’t need upgrade I think 🎉😂
Nope, what you have is like a hot knife cutting through butter. you are good!
Thanks
Welcome
Very well organized comparison. Clear and sharp. The only 2 picky things are, the colorful barcharts make it difficult to spot M3P vs M2P vs M1P, especially those busy ones with other reference; so do the long names of each model in the arena.
thanks, if you have a better idea let me know. The names are what they are really, they are long, sure but they tell you what you need to know about the spec. Hard to do it otherwise. Color charts... we'll see
Like I said, this is just picky things.
Personally though, in terms of the way of showing comparison, I would rather see the bar of M3P in highlight color, say Red, vs M2P & M1P's in low contrast color, ie light blue & green; and the other reference models' are all in even lower contrast color, e.g. light grey;
For the names, pro/max/ultra is the first thing should be noticed, but the storage and core number is relatively less important, in short, maybe put the numbers in smaller fonts aside is an option to be consider.
Art is fantastic and a TREMENDOUS help!
I’m right at 95% decision of which MacBook Pro to get.
Thanks to arts help.
Just two or three more questions and I’m there.
:)
thanks for real world tests! as professional photographer/creator: THANKS
You bet!
Your upgrade path chart just made me juice my pants. Keep up the excellent work.
That is awesome!
Fantastic! THANK YOU! ESPECIALLY about memory... I am a firm believer in buy the most I can afford and then some.. with this level of laptop buying entry level Ram is a mistake.
You are so welcome!
You should have millions of subscribers!!!
Thank you
Thank you for the spectacular analysis, i'm in M2 Pro right now, base on this video, i'm in the middle of conclusion. waiting for the big leap on the next generation Apple Silicon.
Thank you very much for the Analysis. Awesome
Glad it was helpful!
YES thanks for showing the pro chips instead of maxes!
all of them really!
Great review. It'd be interesting to see whether a more efficient use of existing performance in M3 Pro vs. M2 Pro pays off in regards to battery life?
ok
Good you put the full specs of each machine at the start. Most TH-camrs are clueless and do not mention which variant they have, the RAM, storage etc. Oh and you are missing a battery life test. Apparently the M3 Pro vs M2 Pro does quite well there. Please include battery life tests with your M3 Max comparisons, especially if you are testing a 14" M3 Max ;)
" Oh and you are missing a battery life test. "
Not missing but intentionally omit / not test, too much time to run that test.
Did one on the M1 gen that will give a good idea th-cam.com/video/KxKZJDl5Css/w-d-xo.html
And even that took forever
@@ArtIsRight Thank you. Yes I just thought with the M3 being 3Nm, and after seeing another M3 Pro vs M2 Pro MBP video, it does seem like the M3 Pro MBP (and possibly the Max) have better battery life than the M2 Pro and Max. So that is a nice benefit, if for example someone was trying to decide between an M2 Pro and M3 Pro MBP.
This just reaffirms my shopping for an M1 Pro as my first Mac from Windows. 32gb and 2tb is my goal now but harder to find.
For someone who wants to save $ but improve my photography workflow, I think the M1 Pro is my best route.
Sensible
So glad for compare m1 vs m3
:)
Good work. Bro has done PhD on this topic!
Thanks!
Hi Art, another great, comprehensive video. Thank you for all your hard work. I wish your 16MBP M3P had more RAM. It looks like it is challenging the Ultras and only falling short where RAM is needed. It looks like MBP is finally challenging serious desktop Macs. I could see my next desktop being a MBP Max with at least 96GB RAM. That should outperform my current Studio Max M1 with 64GB RAM. I think Mac laptops have finally arrived.
I hear you but I'm testing Stock Config, no more CTO unless necessary. Too many customization option and too costly. Just wait till my Max video tomorrow
@@ArtIsRight Thank you.
Going to sub for this monthly thing just to say thanks 🙏 I’ve been following your testing and copying it during the new m3 launch. I’ve come to the conclusion that RAM is king for my cases and would say,
1. Get Apple silicone of any kind
2. Get 64GB ram
3. Consider a pro chip for external displays
However I’m not sure of you have an older video explaining the tests but for photoshop huge and some of the 1:1 view tests I’m not sure exactly what you are doing. I imported 15GB worth of processed DNG files to Lightroom AND photoshop as layers and my results are miles away from yours so I’m a bit confused.
Thanks for the hard work and I hope you enjoy testing over the next few days. I still have a Mac with 64GB coming which is exciting
Somewhat, I might do a supplemental video explaining the process, we'll see. But most of these are just part of the workflow.
The amount of work done is just insane. Do you ever sleep? How did you manage to run all those tests on so many computers! A BiG thank you!
That is the issue right now, I do want more sleep.
@@ArtIsRight Please do! Health first, people can wait 😁
Hi can I have your thoughts on 16ich M3 Max, stock variant. For heavy photoshop and lightroom
Good
th-cam.com/video/0yZQpbQbN9w/w-d-xo.html
Best real world benchmark🔥 It's much better than just testing a typical benchmark with a only score.
I was wondering if you had any thoughts on measuring battery time?
Thank you!
An excellent report. I learned so much. I’m an amateur bird photographer on an Intel iMac. Edit raw files. I have pretty much ruled out the new (disappointing) iMac and now considering Studio. I did a config with M2 Max 38 core, 64/2TB. Is this overkill, about right or should I look at the M2U? I must keep in mind cost to acquire a hi-res monitor at least 4K, which I am totally flummoxed on that. The Apple 5K is too expensive for me, but I need something that going to look as good as my iMac screen. Thank you for your video.
You don't need the ultra or even the maxed out max for that matter.
This is such a great review! So in-depth! Thank you so much for this 🤍
You're so welcome!
As always, your analyzes are the best on TH-cam.
If you use Photoshop, Lightroom, DXO Nik, and Topaz Lab you need a lot of Ram, Ram & more Ram. The best setup for photographers would be Apple M3 Pro chip with 11-core CPU, 14-core GPU 16-core Neural Engine
36GB unified memory & 512GB SSD storage.
Asking Art Primarily
AND Jose
Then would this be a Good Setup for Photographer using Lightroom and some Adobe PS, Topaz etc.
Apple M3 Pro chip with
12‑core CPU, 18‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine
36GB unified memory
512GB SSD storage
16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display²
@nowayjose3300 Totally, I agree!
@JeffAlanWolf-ij3ls I might recommend looking at previous generation M2 either new on clearance or refurb
Art
I am now confused and it may be me. What’s the difference with Jose asked versus my request and you said his was spot on with me I should go for an older model?
Great insightful video. How did you get those fonts and colors on your slides? They look very much like how Apple presents.
Apple Keynote app
amazing comparison ... really separates from other benchmarks nonsense that you can see everywhere nowadays.
Thank you!
謝謝!
Great video , Art. A Suggestion to further differentiate your great videos: Add a column on left side with the current price of each machine as configured (in today's prices included refurbished or sales, Woot ) The prices and configurations vary wildly.
Better yet - Create comparison charts sorting least to most expensive with speed results or create a "Speed or speed difference per dollar". All would be constructive. The M1 generation goes on deep discount nearly every other week if you know where to look and is by far the best bang for the buck for photo editing. A touch slower for video edits, but I'd rather put the money towards better lenses than a faster machine!
I'll have to look into this, fantastic idea!
Hey ! such great clear manner you talk thank you:) do you have any test with the pro configurations m2 pro 10cpu 16gpu vs m3 pro 11/14 ?:)
OR m2 pro12/19 with m3 pro 11/14 ?
i’m genuinely considering these and im super confused after watching so many videos :(
i would highly greatly appreciate any help 🙏🏼
Unless they are in my latest video no. But I would venture they are close.
@@ArtIsRight thank you !🙏🏼 yess seems to me like .. now the price difference is only ~ 40~50 € bc of some deals where i am and originally this m2 was ~300 more that makes me think maybe it’s slightly better machine. but also i recon m3 wasn’t there yet so i don’t know which one would perform better ~ photo , video, some 3d models work.. and nobody made such test :(
hmm based on what you already know and experience which would you lean towards ?
Any help is so greatly appreciated!
The data that you're looking for is in this video: th-cam.com/video/HS4Faoa96Ks/w-d-xo.html They are about the same within the margin or errors. Some test ones come out ahead and the others but they are so close,
@@ArtIsRight oh wow that’s unexpected , so would you say getting the base m2 pro would be better ? i actually was mistaken here writting bc i actually meant M2 Pro 12/19 vs M3 Pro 11/16
they are more less same price and i suspect here m2 pro would come a bit better although i don’t know ,
it’s all just now 2000 m2 pro base vs 2300 m2p higher or m3P 11/14 we are speaking and this decision i’m stuck with right now
Very detailed and informative… I’m planning to get an M3 14 model but I saw a refurbished M1 Pro 14 at a slightly cheaper price. Both are similarly specced with 16gb RAM and 1TB SSD storage. The only difference is the M3 (non pro) chip vs the M1 Pro chip. Which model should I go for? I am primarily a wedding photographer and often export thousands of photos at a time
M1 Pro, video on this will come tomorrow, Pro is still a better all around SoC
Can you do the same test with ipad pro vs samsung s9 ultra for lightroom and editing?
there already many videos on that here on youtube
not likely
Ai noise test, finaly 🤟
😁
@artisright love your channel. I’m looking at refurbs. Comparing M2Max Studio and M2Pro Mini. In your older tests the Max was significantly better than the Pro in a lot of tests. Here, even the M2Pro with half the ram is often right there with the Max, leaving me confused as to what to choose. I assign the M2Pro got optimized at some point? Maybe the Max never will or can’t get much better. I’m also noticing other anomalies in the tests that seem like they just aren’t going to get around to optimize some machines. Is the pro that close to the Max? Still hard to tell with different ram amounts where the pro does sometimes drop down in this test video. Thanks
Pro price is within a striking distance of the max, I would just choose the max
@@ArtIsRight thanks!
Thank you for your thorough review and video! Out of curiosity, did you use equivalent 5K monitors with the Mac Mini's in your tests? If not, would lower resolution displays not have a lower demand on the GPU and possibly distort the results? I would think that a 3840 x 2160 (4K) monitor would be less demanding that a 5120 x 2880 (5K) monitor. What are your thoughts?
Display resolution does not matter much in this case, what most forgot is that these new Apple silicon all comes with a display - co processors aka the display engine that takes a lot of the scaling heaving weight lifting load from the GPU
@@ArtIsRight Thank you!
Great video! I have a M1 Macbook Air with 16gb ram and thinking of getting one of the two 14” MBP M3 Pro. Either stock or full version. Hope this will be a solid upgrade. What do you think? :)
Big Jump for air! Either one will do fine!
Thank you what must be they best comparison video out there at this stage. I am curious how you expect AI masks in LR to fare in comparison: it’s standard now to apply presets with AI masking on sclera to clothing etc in event / wedding photography. Applied to 250-500 at a time, I wonder which of your existing tests may capture such a scenario best
AI masking is even slow on my Ultra, I might have to devise that test. Let's see what I come up with. If you have any specific ideas dm me.
First off, great video and information. I am not sure if Adobe does this, but I know with Apples "Pro" apps they seem to leverage the P-cores exclusively. Seeing many results where the performance scaling on the Pro vs Max is pretty much a direct scaling with the amount of P-cores they have. This has lead to some interesting performance differences when comparing the M2 Pro vs the M3 Pro since it has 2 more P cores. It's really kinda disappointing how so many developers, including Apple themselves do not properly utilize the E-cores for their apps. I am sure it's going to cause all sorts of problems trying to utilize two difference types of cores, but with Intel and Apple going now into 3 years of this type of core configuration, I really wish we could see some more positive movement with E-Core support.
Totally agree and Adobe is about the same in many sense. Optimization is a costly affair and the end result is no shiny features to sell to new customers :)
in the video section i would like you to tell us real performance while editing . No export times. Thank you!!
Good for the 4k files that I have but my need are not as high as pro editors
Would love to see a test where you sync a set of AI masks (subject, background, skin, etc) across a large number of photos. I have an M1 Max MBP w/64gb and as a wedding photographer I have to do this often and it’s the biggest bottleneck in my LR workflow. Well that, and then moving from one image to the next if I need to tweak the results. Would be great to test that as well because it’s always been frustratingly slow in LR for as long as I can remember.
I have done this numerous times on my M2 Ultra, it is a drag there too.
Very, very informative Art! Really looking forward to the M1, M2, M3 Max comparisons. I'm in the research stage right now and I'm leaning towards an M! Max with 64GB, 1TB ssd if I can find a new one that I can get a Apple warranty. I bought a M2 Pro, 64GB, 1TB ssd when they can out in this past January and after doing the same workflow I do on my Intel MBP (I9, 32GB, 1TB, 5600 graphics card), I returned the M2 because the overall amount of time saved wasn't significant enough to justify the price of the M2 Pro, maybe the MAX would be? So, that's why I'm leaning towards a M1 Max with 64GB.
That video is coming tomorrow! Something to consider as well is to buy refurbished from Apple, I got plenty of machine that way and they are great quality and value. You can even add Apple Care + if you want. And yes Max will be much faster especially with the M3 gen!
Thanks Art! I looked at the Apple refurbished and they do have a few M1’s, 64GB, 4TB SSD. I found one with one of the online retailers for quite a bit less, 64GB, 2TB SSD, so I’m checking with them to verify the M1 Max is brand new and if does have at least a one year Apple warranty. So, now I’m really leaning towards the M1 because my workflow is about 50% for HDR/Pano merge and single photos and I don’t export files from LRC. I mostly work in LRC and finish up the editing and save the “Keepers” in PS, just a few files at a time.
I’ve taken the data from your most recent videos on the M1-M3, plus ones from about 2 years ago so I can compare the Intel MBP and put them into a spreadsheet, plus some testing on my Intel MBP. So, again, your videos are the BEST and closest testing data for my workflow in LRC and PS! It’s been great to figure out what works for me and not just “guess” what MBP I need to purchase, thanks!

That you!
Phew - finally, now I can stop "F5"-ing youtube for this video to drop 😂
lol, thank you! you made my day!
stay turned 8 am tomorrow PST
Can you help me deciding which one to get ?? Brandnew 14 M3 Pro 18gb for 2000usd, Used 14 M1 Pro 32gb for 1400usd or Brand new Legion Slim 5i 1700usd .. Gonna be using it more with Lightroom Classic .. Does the Razer’s performance more less equals the Legion 5 since they both have Intel 13th Gen ?? I’m surprise the M1 Pro stacks up against the M3 Pro ..
If you can get a great deal on the M1 Pro, I would go with that and more RAM. Don't bother with PC
Is the M3 Pro chip limited by it's 6 performance 6 efficiency cores? Looking forward to the Max comparisons
Possibly. Max coming 8 am PST tomorrow
I am looking forward to your M3 Max 128GB review. I am currently on the M1 Max 64GB and would like to know if this upgrade makes sense in regards of LR HDR panorama merge. If the M3 Max can cut the time in half this would be significant for my own workflow.
For that task, not really. I would look at this th-cam.com/video/f4EWI9jcnS0/w-d-xo.html to get some idea.
Was the base m3 pro not a 11core 14 gpu combo though ?
Yes, but I am testing the the top M3 Pro with 12/18 the base 11/14 is coming
I love me a good presentation.
Thank you!
what is the best recommendation if coming from intel i7 9th gen, Is M3 pro good for photography or m2 pro would be good.

Hi.. i could do with some advise. i have a 2017 MacBook pro which i use for light lightroom use mainly. i was thinking of upgrading to a refurbed 14inch M2 Pro with 32gb Ram or the newer 14inch M3 pro with 18gb ram. both around £2000. i’m really confused, cos i watched some videos saying the M3 isn’t up to the mark but going by this video it seems like it is. However id like your help with the two choices. i was thinking M3 then M2 now i’m thinking M3 again! like i said im a light user of lightroom and will use it for general family use as well. Thanks in advance.
I would Go M2 with more RAM.
Thank you.. :-)
It’s clear to me for us LRC users only marginal gains is realized with the latest hardware telling us LRC for all intensive purposes needs to be completely re written though the problem is Adobe already has done this with LRCC which really seems to run well on current hardware and Adobe wants there users to all go for the cloud and pay there very high storage rates
Oh yeah Capture One is also based on old code and all they have been doing is adding new features
Somewhat, LRC engine can be updated independently of the core app. Same with the export engine, we have seen this faster before. I hear you and between Adobe and C1 we are between a rock and a hard place.
