  • A great accessory and gift idea for someone special...
    In this video I make a leather luggage tag using red Buttero vegetable tanned leather. This is an easy to follow project and is suitable for beginners to leather work. It is very easy to customize with a stamp or initials making it a great gift idea. I provide the pattern and show and explain each step so you can build the luggage tag too.

    Do you have any suggestions about what I could do if I do not have a buckle? Is there a way to do a sinpler handle?

    • @TeranAtelier
      @TeranAtelier  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can think of a few ways, you can cut a slit down the middle of the strap near the end, then you can pass the tag and rest of the strap through the slit and tighten around your bag's handle. Another way would be be to have two keepers near one end of the strap and run the strap through the keepers to lock it tight like you would on a belt.

    So where does the owners information go? In front of the plastic window? That doesn’t make sense.

    • @TeranAtelier
      @TeranAtelier  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a fairly standard design for a luxury type luggage tag where the information is kept hidden but still accessible behind the plastic window. It is less about function and more about looks as this type of tag is attached to designer luggage and handbags.

    what is that tool called at 3:56 how do you spell that?

    • @TeranAtelier
      @TeranAtelier  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is called a diamond awl and used for making singular holes. For this application a normal scratch awl making a small circular hole will also work well for 90 degree corners.

    • @TeranAtelier
      @TeranAtelier  ปีที่แล้ว

      The oval tool I think you mean is a wood burnisher.

    how much would this cost?

    • @TeranAtelier
      @TeranAtelier  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not much in terms of materials so you could make it yourself fairly cheap. If you are looking to buy a finished product then I don't sell products, have a look on Etsy and you may find a similar looking one.
