get a true cold air where the piping goes down to the bumper. they are AMAZING on r18 engines. and dw about water or puddles. there is a splash guard underneath the front bumper that doesnt let water in.
Not sure what the part number is but here's the link www.ebay.com/itm/154224521178?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=GX52w7TrTJi&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=zb5cxaihq-c&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I can't say for sure. It's only officially listed to fit the 8th gen civics, but the 8th and 9th gens are very similar in a lot of ways, so it may fit. I do know that DCSports has a cold air intake for the 9th gens with the 1.8L engine. I can't seem to find a short ram intake on their website for the 9th gens though. I think they made one at one point, but it's probably been discontinued. You can still get a short ram for the 1.8L 9th gens from other companies, though.
I knew that going in. The R18 isn't a good engine for making power anyways. I just did it for the sound. Eventually I'll K swap my car, and when I do that, I'll get a true cold air intake.
@@KingTurkeySub did the check engine light also come on because mine did when I put a short ram in but I mean it still came on when I put a proper cold air intake in
@@KingTurkeySub I mean it's probably because maf is reading different air level compared to what it was supposed to read that's my theory anyways, but yeah my engine light came on

Actually theres a hydrophobic filter cover so you can have an airway through the foglight
Link to any of those true cold air?
@@chinito6715 yes please, someone give us a link I’m looking for new intake right now
@@chinito6715no point does absolutely nothing unless you’re actually gonna turbi it just do a short ram
U need a tune with CAI’s
Glad you’re having fun my boy.
Thanks man
Just installed mine a week ago so far so good 👍
Good to hear 👍👍
Did you had to get the ECM tuned?
Hi sir, youre Car looks amazing performance and the sound too. Did you change the muffler or the same old one?
When I recorded this video, the exhaust was stock. I've since put on a Yonaka catback exhaust.
Hey man, do you still have those stock parts ? I just bought my first civic and am trying to convert my air intake back to stock.
How is it so far any lights came on or any problems?
Nope, no problems with the intake after almost a year. I'm still very happy with it
Bro great car!, why does it rev limit itself at 5k? is it bc its auto? Thanks!
@juanpab4791 yeah, it's an automatic and the rev limit in park is 5k.
@@KingTurkeySub thats cool i wished that my manual did that :( mine is at 7k all the time
how was install bro, I am not that experienced so you think i can do it myself
It was pretty easy, all things considered. A few things were a little tedious, but you can definitely do it.
Is tuning required after installing?
@@guapmanifested6098 nope. I've been running this intake for two years now without a tune, and I've had no issues.
Do u have the link for the part no. Of ram

how is yours sounding?
With the intake, the engine has more of a deep growl at half to full throttle
Hi how is it holding up? also did you have to get a tune.
No problems so far. I didn't get a tune and haven't had any problems, but if you want to get any power gains, you'd have to get a tune.
@@KingTurkeySub ok thanks I appreciate it.

doesn't it draws in hot air since its near to the engine?
Yeah it does, but I'm ok with that
how does your intake sound
It sounds really good at part and full throttle, really deep and throaty.
Wouldn't it of been a good idea to get a Heat shield. Cant imagine the damage it could do to your engine.
Way cool dude🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bro
did u gets yours on ebay?
Yeah I got mine on ebay, not sure if they still have them though.
It does get heat soak easily bro...

Does the car jolt alittle when you first installed the filter?
I think it did when I first started it up after installing it, but only for a second and it ran perfectly after

Did it get you more hp??
Not sure if I gained hp but the throttle response is definitely better and the sound is nice 👍
@@KingTurkeySub thank you for the help
