She was the female lead of my first kdrama. Recently she did well in arthdal chronicles with Lee joon gi. Idk, while watching it i wanted them to be together in real life. He is a nice man. She need someone like him who is gentle & caring towards her.

seems like Korea has the highest rate of people who are jealous of others, shallow, and often resort to bullying. There are some truth as to why so many k-dramas include some form of bullying, especially the dramas with school theme. Korea seriously need to fix this culture and condone bullying for the sake of their own citizens.
I think she is one of the nicest Korean actors, she is very natural and carries asian mysticism in her which really makes her captivating also in modern roles, she remains special and different from other South Korean actors...

Captivating the King is a great drama and Netizens need to stop attacking actors and musicians and stop obsessing so unnaturally about them. The recent death of Lee Sun_kyun should be a lesson to Korea to stop this behaviour. It is drama not real life and people need to mature enough to know the difference.

What I can't understand with human beings, is if you don't like the actor or actress than don't watch their dramas. People that have negative vibes think they are better in everything they do or live a boring negative life. I'm not perfect. I too have some negative vibes, but it's base around work. as for the criticism of her role in captivating the king, it was almost perfect, i feel. i love that movie except the damn ending of episode 15 and 16. the writer and production made a shortcut and didn't make a more Cinderella like glamorous ending. I'm so mad at the production for having allowed a shortcut to the ending and the writer for allowing that, they didn't give the viewers the satisfaction of an elaborate wedding, and a memorable honeymoon, because Shin SE Kyung can act with so much class and grace, it would be romantic in any way. that is why i feel she is a superb actress; i haven't been this work-up in comments because i heard and read so many critics against her. ok, back to the movie, heck if i was the king and finally could have her, i would have the most romantic and the most elaborate wedding and honeymoon!!!! but back to the subject matter, you critics have to give her break. She was flawless in every movie she has.

That is the makeup department’s fault not her’s. The make up crew has to know what make up
looks best with each scene and environment (film set) for each actor. I think what would have made her more credible as a young man would have some type of facial hair like a light thin mustache.

If that is what she really looked like when she was young then she is really pretty. However, if you truly analyze the way she acts, it's just dull. Her eyes are dead. Last time I saw her in a drama was in the Bride of Habaek and that drama sucks if not for the 2nd lead. Nam Jo Hyuk was no better. Then I saw this drama with Jo Jun Suk who is a very good actor and singer so I watched it. A few episodes in, I knew her acting did not improve. That's a fact.
This is just my opinion, but she is not a very good actress..she’s pretty but she is not very expressive..
