SOI has become such a hard band to categorize. Are they still deathcore? Straight up death metal? Tech death? There's even some melodeath influence in there. They manage to make changes to their sound without ever losing the heart and soul of who they are. Just an amazing band
I've seen Chris Wiseman 3X with Currents. We were talking after the show and he had a SOI jacket on. Next time SOI comes around my way, I gotta check them out!

Certain aspects of it remind me of the Synestia/Disembodied Tyrant EP, where they were part of as well. Their level of skill in writing and composition is outstanding, I don't any song they have been a part of, which feels like something is missing. Everything just comes together perfectly.

This new Shadow of Intent is awesome. Didn't really care for Elegy and Melancholy was okay but this shit feels like something from Primordial / Reclaimer.
