  • I finally complete the rear subframe relocation on project XC500R and get it remounted 3.25" further back, allowing the massive Jeep 32" tires to fit in the car without compromising the structure.
I also add a bit of flair to the front of the car, but don't know quite how to complete it...
Big thanks to the sponsors of the project!!

As a stock XC70 owner and a weekend DIYer, to me " a huge amount of effort" seems a bit of an understatement. I am impressed by the amount of time you have put into this project so far.

The new grill looks so nice...the logo just makes it that much better! Either leave it all silver or paint the grill matte black with silver logo over. Impressive custom work!!

Might want too consider upgrading to hubcentric wheel adapters. The wheel should be centered and supported by the hubcentric ring. Those cheap ebay adapters use the bolts for centering and clamping and can/have caused failures. I've only used those for moch up purposes.

Nice work! Wished you would have stated what your new differential clearance is now. I am going follow this project!

It's probably been noted already, but FYI, you don't have to remove the bumper cover to pop the grill out. As far as the Volvo grill emblem, keep it aside and instead choose cool vintage emblem, (tons of them on line), or the "Prancing Moose" would be pretty cool..😉
