My brother in law lives in Long Island and has driven by the house times and when my husband and I were still dating, he went to see his brother and he showed my husband the house. I would love to at least see it from the outside

I love how they make movies based on true stories like BULLY based on these teens you who killed Bobby kent because he was a "bully" psycho and silence of the lamb based on serial killer ed gein...you get to know more about the stories that way lol
yeah! i love movies based on true events. sometimes it can be hard for me because I can't separate that the people are real, like with the TV show Waco.. but sometimes I can. It just depends.

The Lutz ghost story in my opinion was an elaborate plan to make money off this tragedy. When I seen the movie as a kid, I believed it and I guess because I love horror , it was fun to believe but as I got older and years of researching everything about the murders and alleged haunting, I came to realize it was probably all a lie. Its not because I don't believe in the supernatural because I definitely do but I'm skeptical of the Lutz story. To me, the true horror of amityville is not the ghost story but the 6 brutal execution style type murders that Butch Defeo did. Is the energy of what happened there still present? Maybe. But the memory of the evil that happened there will always be there.

@Bratterstein You left out the story of the Laura's Attorney that helped get the book published, but after they cut him out of his share of the royalties he cooped to it all being made up to cover the family financially. And the fact the Lutz 's Husband/father had list his job, and couldn't pay his bills. Also, in one of Poland's tales about the murders, he claimed him an his sister were in it together for the family money, but he was supposed to wound her and go for help he decided to kill her, and keep it all for himself. In addition during that time the warns made a Hugh name for themselves much of which has been defuncted, all except for the photo of the little boy, which to date at least to the best of my knowledge has never been disproven or e enough determined how it could have been faked. There's so many creepy things surrounding this case. How much Ronnie DeFeo Jr looks like George Lutz which is touched on in the film, the original at least. Why nobody woke up is bizarre. The people who have lived there since reckon there's no ghosts but I don't know. Why would you leave your entire house and all your possessions? That photo of the little boy peaking out of the bedroom that was taken when the Warrens went there freaks me the hell out. People say its been debunked and that it was a young lad who was there with the team but he looks way older than the boy in the photo. I fully think it's the youngest DeFeo boy. My boyfriend who is a pretty tough guy, he's been to prison many times and can look after himself has been so scared by that photo he's made me go to the toilet with him before 😂 and said he couldn't stop thinking about it when trying to get asleep and had to put the telly on lmao. There's a documentary called My Amityville Horror and its the story told by Daniel Lutz, one of the kids and he says George Lutz was into the occult and did black magic in the house. He literally looks traumatised to this day. You can just tell its proper effed his head up for life

She said it was worst place they've ever been but people also say the Warrens were frauds so I don't know but that pic is way creepy

@@BRATTERSTEIN ah, I'm not a skeptic, I've had a few things happen to me that can't possibly be explained by sheer coincidence. There's a coincidence then there's multiple things happening all related to the same place and all related to the devil and the number 666. Its a long story but sooooo many things happened in my first flat with my ex boyfriend that we fled in the middle of the night. We did have to go back eventually but not for long and nobody ever stays in there long. It's always empty. I live just round the corner from it now and it's empty but I know the lad who's just about to move in, it's a small town, so I'm interested in hearing what he makes of the place. It's next door to what used to be a funeral directors. I've had other things happen in other places but nothing on that scale and never seen a full on ghost and hopefully never will coz I'd probably have an actual heart attack with fear.
