One of the men Gary killed was my stepdads best friend and band member, Tim. He was always at our house and we loved him. My dad met Gary a few times and didn't want anything to do with him. It was devastating

So cool that you covered Gary Evans. I only heard of him recently, which is odd because I am from the area he is from and where he primarily perpetrated his crimes. Creepy.
Another weird connection: The inmate whom Gary obtained info from, as a CI, was Jeffrey Williams. Jeffrey Williams was convicted of murdering a young woman named Karolyn Lonczak. Karolyn was working an overnight shift at a care home for people with disabilities. The story is that Williams broke in, attempted to steal maybe a TV, then ended up taking Karolyn and later killing her at another location. The staff that came in that morning saw that the door was left open and no staff was in the home.
So the weird part is that I worked at that very care home for 3 years. I was told there was a murder years ago, but ironically did not find out the details until I left that job (I think I had the impression it was a domestic dispute, not at all thinking it was a murderer on the run!) It is so disturbing to know that some of those residents would have been living there at the time poor Karolyn's life was taken. To this day, they have extra security measures on the overnight, at this house in particular, due to its history.
Anyway, it has been interesting to see the comments on these videos and some folks coming forward with real life connections to the people in these cases.
How wild is that. I can't imagine being from an area where something like that happened. I mean, I live in LA so I actually am close to some places but it is still so odd. And the Jeffrey Williams thing! How intense. I have never heard of him. That's got to be an eerie feeling.

This video itself, on it's own, is very underrated. I'm honestly shocked it doesn't have more views. The only reason & it has to be one of the only reasons it has not gone viral, is because Gary Evans is not a famous, well known serial killer.

I first met Tim & Dana (his wife) when he joined my brothers band & I ran the sound board...he was a really good drummer. He was a good man & friend ...I think of him often

Richard Ramirez wasn't a serial killer cuz he was a "pathetic drug addict". Gary, and Richard had horrific childhoods which lead Richard to self medicating, and lead to them both being horrible people.
There are *many* addicts and recovering addicts in this world, myself being the latter, and we're not out here torturing and murdering people. ❤

Me and my sister knew gary he dated my sisters best friend Becky, her parents didnt like him and moved the whole family back to long island from johnsonville where we grew up. this was in the 70's. my sister and her husband didnt know about him being a thief and etc even let him stay in there garage for a time. they were floored when they found out. i actually was fooled also thinking he was a nice guy and to make matters worse michael falco was my mother's cousin I remember when my grandfather died anthony falco the troy police came into the funeral home and took michael out in handcuff's my family was horrifed!!

It's awesome to see someone else bringing some attention to Gary Evans. I've been searching for any videos on him and there isn't really any. I'm in the middle of doing the very first "real" documentary on him.

Gary Evans caused fear in those that new him. He was threatening. My stepfather was Timothy Wayne rysdorph. I was a teenager when he went missing. My oldest memory of Tim would be the very apartment he shared in Troy NY with Gary.
My first thought was head injury...
