    The winner of the recent poll on the channel was Fallout 4, so that is what I'll be playing next on the channel! I have never played any of the Fallout series before so this will be a blind playthrough. I'll record episodes of this and drop other bits of content in between, I hope you enjoy!

    Mike, you could exit by going through the double door opening on the ground floor, opposite the Mechanist main window where you first talked to her. You missed it. When you fast travel to the lair, turn around to see the elevator to the top and outside. Also you can fast travel now to and from the location.
    One other thing…the Rogue Robot quests are short and provide a very cool perk. Some of the locations to kill the robots will have synths there, or Brotherhood or raiders, but every 4 to 5 times there will be Settlers. If you kill the robots without hurting the settlers, you will open a dialogue that will allow you to send them to a settlement of your choice. It helps when you want more settlers moved to any settlement and there are usually 3 of them each time that will move. A very cool and quick way to quick populate your settlements. I have had over 40 settlers in Sanctuary and it is really awesome. Normally in the game you can only send settlers to settlements with few people. This bypasses that. Fyi, once you finish the quests you dont have to go to the mechanist…she is not like Preston thank goodness and your quest will instantly close. They are fast and short missions, so I would say give them a try..

    Military ammo bags: these are one of the two junk sources of ballistic fibre. Additionally, only Tinker Tom and Isabel Cruz sell it. It's expensive.
    The Mechanist outfit: can have its AR improved dramatically, like many outfits, (with Science 4). But, you can't have external armour over this one.
    Missing settlers: settlers wander, as you've seen to roofs and other elevated places. They can also wander well outside the settlement boundaries as well. You can summon all settlement dwellers by ringing a bell - crafted from the resources/miscellaneous subsection.

    Curie was just enjoying the view lol. But yeah, best to scrap that couch on the overpass.
    Something to note, Isabel is a vendor and isn't included in the settler count.
    You'll be constantly running into these robots from now on with energy weapons, so you might want to put points into the Refractor perk if you haven't already. It can give you up to +50 energy resistance if maxed out.

    You should pick up all the robot parts you can, Once you finish the Mechanist quest, you will potentially have the ability to build all kinds of useful robot workers and settlement provisioners

      @@mike-thegamingdad Unless you know you already have a particular robot part you should pick it up. If you haven't already discovered that part you'll see a message to that affect. If you have you can drop it.

      You dont need to finish the quest to make useful provisioners, you just have to save Ada from the Rust devils to get the robot workshop. You do need some points in blacksmith though.

    The Silver Shroud “voice” is so over the top it’s hilarious! Don’t be embarrassed about the deaths…some of those bots are no joke! Especially when they’re coming at you in groups. Tripping the lasers at first though was quite funny. Lol! I had forgotten how many bots The Mechanist throws at you at the end. Quite the mayhem!

    You can fast travel from just outside the build area in the mechanists lair. Alternately, there is a second door out that leads to an elevator which goes a room leading to the back door of the building,

    At GrayGarden the overpass roadway is a buildable part of the settlement, there is a couch on that top level which is why Companions and settlers go up there. The game does not take the ability to get get to that point into account until YOU are in the settlement. Delete that couch or build up to that level from the ground, I would maybe move that couch to the greenhouse or build one there.

      I always build up there and give my human settlers metal shacks and a lovely viewing platform to watch the sunset from! 😊

    Also you won't be able to store the silver shroud items til you finish the good neighbor quest. That is the only quest you really need to wear the items.

    - Locations you have discovered have a solid icon on the map, whereas locations you haven't discovered, but have heard about, have an outline.
    - Looting the robot mods is a good idea if you want to build more robots. Swapping out components when building or modifying a robot is much less resource intensive than having to make them.
    - 24:02 - That was an Assaultron Head Laser, which ignores all energy and damage resistance, as well as damage reduction (such as Sentinel armour and the Lone Wanderer perk). It is one of the few weapons which can one-shot almost anything. Unfortunately the Salvaged Assaultron Head Laser you picked up last episode (which irradiates the user) isn't as powerful.
    - 41:35 - To make the two robots friendly, you need either the Protectron Override holotape, which is included with a Total Hack magazine, or at least one rank of the Robotics Expert perk.
    - Save often, and TURN YOUR LIGHT OFF when you're in combat.
    - 1:04:49 - You have already been in there.
    - There are only a couple of followers who encourage you to pick up junk. Ada, Dogmeat and any custom robots you build are the only followers who don't judge your actions.
    - The doors which Ada unlocks are a call back to the original Mechanist's Lair in Fallout 3.
    - Military Ammo Bags are a junk item containing Ballistic Fiber, which is used when making Ballistic Weave. If you continue P.A.M.'s quests in the Railroad, you'll gain access to the ability to use Ballistic Weave.
    - 1:24:22 - All ghouls, including ferals, were once people. The people in the cells turned into feral ghouls.
    - 1:33:11 - You weren't required to activate the circuit breaker. Pushing the red button was all that was required to raise the elevator and open the metal door. If you listen carefully after you pushed the red button, you can hear the elevator starting to ascend.
    - The Mechanist's Lair is a settlement, although what you can build there is somewhat limited. As for the exit, it was just off the main room, directly opposite the Mechanist's control room. There is more to the Mechanist's Lair, such as Isabel's private quarters and a few other rooms containing some interesting stuff.
    - For future play throughs, for example if you play on Survival difficulty, there is a way to completely bypass the big robot fight at the end.
    - An easier way to get to Curie would have been to build some stairs up to the overpass.

    Those ridiculously overcomplicated doors in the Mechanist’s lair are a nod to the original Mechanist in FO3. I think it’s a real shame we never get the opportunity to make use of their skills as a bot maker in our settlements. Think how useful it would be to have them churn out robot guards!

      Okay, that was pretty cheesy Weezy.
      One of my favorite dungeon crawls. A unique setting with great visual and locational storytelling, and as you may have noticed, a bit more challenging in the combat department. Might try exploring where Isabel hangs out a bit to find the easy exit 😉
      Also, those military bags are for materials. You'll know what for after some Railroad advancement.

    Would love to see a survival series. You’re very good at this game so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Survival completely changed the game for me
