I feel like as soon as shenron or anyone else gives vegeta a name and location, hes BOLTING it over to smack light silly. Would probably get to him before goku too
Honestly there could be a debate that he would not destroy the death Note but he would probably destroy the death Note I mean sure they could kill the major enemies with it but at the end of the day Goku and Vegeta are about that life he would probably just blow up lights house with a big bang attack it wouldn't even care he destroyed the death Note
Light would be flabbergasted once he killed Goku and a few moments later he's back cuz Death in db verse is basically just a vacation to King Kai's planet
Plus Goku would still have a body and theoretically could teleport back to Earth and kill Light anyways lol. Even If somehow Goku could not come back he could still probably still smoke Light.
Well Gokus a special case When you die, you reincarnate and your orginal soul and identity are diluted, as seen with Uub and how the dragons needed living bodies to return the deceased souls during King Piccolos Arc, Earth in the Buu Saga, as well as everyone who died on Namek in the Freeza saga. Everyone who either didnt meet the wish criteria, OR had their bodies destroyed and were already reincarnated couldnt be wished back, or as with the Buu saga, Porunga needed to physically bring back the bodies THEN transfer the souls for everyone kid buu killed. The thing is Goku was also supposed to go through that, but Kami intervened so he could reach Snake Way. And his second death, he was ALREADY in otherworld, so he kinda skipped the whole reincarnationa nd soul cleansing debacle. So if Goku ever dies again, unless some specific event happens again, hes not getting special treatment and will reincarnate as someone else somewhere in the universe.
@@harpybeagle4931 As Far as i Remember only bad people Get reincarnated. Good people Go to Heaven. But FIGHTERS like Goku Get to keep their bodies and keep fighting for eternity. So no, If Goku dies again, like he did in the Cell Games, he will just keep training with King Kai Forever.
@@thegodofsaiyans535 Good point, but its kinda refuted by the fact that its an anime-only thing. Everyone in dragon ball undergoes reincarnation, its just the case you have super evil dudes who need intensive soul cleansing to become good people. For example, the ogres are anime-filler only and dont appear in the original manga, as well as neither the ideas that Goku was allowed to keep his body after death also only appeared in filler. Which is also contradicted that the filler also shows villains like the Ginyu force keeping their bodies in hell. As far as the series has been consistent with SOME things lol, its that alot of DBZ cosmology borrows from Buddhism, as such every character is assumedly going through traditional Buddhist interpretation of reincarnation. All the canon events of death, and resurrection support this from 1.) Needing a body for resurrections (King Piccolo Saga- the deceased Z Fighters were specifically mentioned as resurrected bc their bodies were kept in good shape, Resurrection F- when Frieza was revived it was in the pieces Trunks cut him into Gokus deaths all had him skip important aspects of reincarnating Moro Arc- Merus keeping his soul and identity required special intervention from the Grand Priest Buu Saga- Porunga said resurrecting Kid Buus victims could take time, implying he needed to resurrect each individual killed one by one, as well as Gokus wish implying had he not asked King Yemma for his favour, Kid Buu would have taken a much longer route to reincarnating via soul cleansing 2.) Bodies aren’t kept in the afterlife, everyone who canonically lives in Other world is an actual denizen maintaining the place, while deceased souls are only seen as the anonymous ghost blobs, with Goku again skipping the process when he died bc of special circumstances 3.) Besides Hakai, souls cannot be destroyed and merely transfer from a physical plane to a spiritual one, before returning back as a new identity 4.) Unique resurrections like Babas interventions with Grandpa Gohan, Goku, Vegeta and Freeza are contractual given the actual thing keeping them alive is a limited source of currency so to speak, so as seen w Grandpa Gohan, the process returns back to normal once its done
Guko could die in heart disease that's why future trunks go to the past, I mean it's possible goku might die using death note due the the default cause is heart attack
Bro he’s a guy who’s a little smarter then a few people with a note book to kill people I mean heck I mean if any of us had the death note and all we had to do was right Goku’a name and have his face in mind while writing we could kill him
@@theendofthestart8179 cause Goku actually has a support network of people he’s helped out and befriended. Light only has Ryuk who’s only in this for the laughs and later Misa.
I think instead of killing Kira, Goku would just destroy the Death Note since Kira's just a teenager. He'd probably also revive everyone that Kira killed with the Death Note.
Piccolo became the Nameless Namekian after he fused with Kami, and even says himself he's forgotten his true name. Light would have to target Gohan, which wouldn't be hard with these modified rules because Gohan is a scholar who has published research paper. He's still cooked regardless though.
I love it how Goku already won within the first 3min. And the rules of the Death Notes had to be altered and the canon of the show had to be ignored to give Kira a fighting chance
To be fair the only rule that needs to be Altered is that Goku isn't a human, but he was killed by a heart disease in another timeline so the death note should be able to effect him in a similar way if his name is writen In it.
Let's see, Goku isn't his birth name so he could never learn his true name. Any death besides heart attack could work unless goku is fast enough (he is) to restart his own heart. He's not human, it doesn't affect him too. Suiccide is the only option that might work assuming everything else I said is void. So...yeah Kira is not winning lol
@@theendofthestart8179 He would probably open a dojo until the Kira cult starts gaining speed and then start speaking against them. I don't see how Goku would or could be involved in the investigation, especially since he's not good at things like that.
Light basically has no chance, and you are accurate in your analysis. However, there are three things I don’t think you accounted for. 1. Light could have Gohan and Piccolo state Goku’s true name since they know it and light is aware that he needs it 2. Vegeta was at the Cell games and possibly could said Kakarot in his usual loud fashion, allowing the camera to pick it up (I’m not rereading to verify) 3. King Kai would notice the random deaths far before Light kills Gohan or Piccolo and could use the same methods you described that Goku could use to find light. This would probably involve the namekian dragon balls Bonus: Perhaps Beerus, Whis, or. Supreme Kai would know about Ryuk
I'm pretty sure also Dende, like Kami before him, can see everything on Earth with the Omniscient vision on the Lookout. Just so many superfluous layers of defense for Goku
Well, at least he'd have to be very specific about how he manipulates Gohan and Piccolo. Even if he asked them his "true" name, as far as they're concerned, Son Goku always has been and will be his name. Vegeta is the only Z-Fighter who considers "Kakarot" to be Goku's actual name.
Light would not think about asking about Goku's alien name, so Gohan and Piccolo would just say Goku, especially since as far as they're concerned, that is what it is, unlike Vegeta.
I doubt piccolo or Gohan would say Kakarot with that question since they seem to both call him Goku since they view that as his true name and never called him that with Vegeta being the only person that calls Goku by his birth name

1:42 Thank you I said about Goku not being human on the poll you did and it seemed like nobody googled the rules they just said “well he’s mortal so it would still work”
"At 10am Vegeta goes to visit Goku and do a fight to the death with him, Vegeta dies at 6pm of that day" It fails because even being controlled Vegeta refuses to see Kakarot as Goku
But that's a really good question about the death note. What constitutes a name? For example , let's say you've got Jeffery , Jeffery's parents, family, friends, coworkers all call him Jeff. He introduces himself as Jeff, the only place he is Jeffery is on legal documents. So, would Jeff work in the death note, assuming you are thinking of him? If it does, Son Goku would also function in the death note the same way Regardless, the book says Human, he's a Saiyan , so.
@@SolluxDivideIt shouldn't because everyone calls L - Ryuzaki. And it doesn't work if you write Ryuzaki. So, real name does matter more than how someone calls you in your everyday life.

Its so funny how Goku is such a hard counter for Light Yagami even without his raw power. Even with breaking the rules of the Death Note to fit this scenario and allowing it to kill an alien, Goku's identity still hard stops Yagami which is funny when you consider how dumb Goku is.
The only way I can see Light winning is if for some odd reason, the Death note uses Son Goku as a name over Kakarot since Son Goku is his "human" name and kakarot is his saiyan name.

Another interesting thing to consider is Ryuk's Ki. I would assume that Shinigami have a very unique Ki and that several characters might try to investigate this strange new source of Ki. Goku for example might do so out of pure curiosity, Piccolo because he wants to gauge how dangerous the being possessing this Ki is, etc. Though it is also entirely possible that you wouldn't be able to sense Ryuk's Ki if you haven't touched his Death Note, considering you can't see or hear him without doing so.
It honestly is just dumb to even think Light would stand a chance given how the general "Human" public/society is isolated from the more magical aspects of the Dragon Ball world. Light COULD potentially go to places like Bulma's house as a vistor or as a mechanic intern trip or something to get the Dragon Radar, but something tells me that Light's ego would get in the way of even thinking of such things. Even if he got the Dragon Balls, with the lack of information about the afterlife, it's a stretch to say he would ask for anything other than "Kill Son Goku" in this instance, and that's completely out of Shenron's capability. Shenron would state it as such, and Goku and the gang would've noticed Shenron being summoned by then and come. Any and everything Light can do in this instance can be sensed or deduced immediately.
it seems unfair that we are pitting baby light against a modern stories goku, while also in the dragon ball universe. (this is because this is the only way for goku to easily win)
@@theendofthestart8179 I mean, this is a pretty unconventional what if anyways. We are even giving Light so many benefits of the doubts. We are making the scenario that Light wants to kill and knows the existance of Goku, Goku not having any idea that Light wants to kill him, assuming that the Death Note works on Goku despite showing that with enough power in Dragon Ball hacks can and will be nullified and that killing Goku is the winning point for Light despite the afterlife and reincarnation/revival being massive plot points in Dragon Ball. This shouldn't even be a discussion in the first place since the verses are so far apart in common senses and general rules.
@@marethyumoros1741 See im just and advocate for fair discussion, I do still think goku wins, I just think there where he wins is the "despite the afterlife and reincarnation/revival being massive plot points in Dragon Ball." part
honestly, i don't even think light would even get the chance to consider the z-fighters a threat before goku suddenly shows up in his room, goes "woah, you're just some kid? :o" and plucks the death note straight out of light's hand while telling him he shouldn't be messing with such dangerous things. after all, dragonball's afterlife is strongly based off of a mix of the chinese and japanese afterlife, which means shinigami are ... y'know, _employees._ ryuk dropping the death note in front of light would be a _major_ case of an employee going rogue, and it wouldn't take long for a higher up like enma to notice that a new arrival was brought to him by a shinigami's power without the proper bureaucracy, and that would _immediately_ sound the alarms. so kira would probably get like two or three kills at most while he's still feeling out the death note, then get stopped in his tracks after king kai gets goku to investigate any signs of a rogue shinigami on earth it's possible that _someone_ in the dragonball universe could be handed a death note and have the techniques and knowledge of the cosmology to properly avoid detection while using it, but a prep school kid who just so happened to stumble upon a bored shinigami's game? yeah, dude's getting caught and disarmed p. much eventually that just leaves the real question: how hard is _ryuk_ getting punched for setting in motion the ( incredibly short-lived ) kira case solely because he was bored?
why didnt goku just magic find the cell larvae and destory it? or any of the androids while they were being made, or any of the villians who managed to use the dragon balls? goku cant just magic locate random japanese teens at will.
You are also unfairly pinning JUST LIGHT against the entire DBZ universe, why is light uniquely alone in this scenario? afriad that Goku would probably let Misa right his name just to test his strength (as seen when he literally let himself die to hit)
@@theendofthestart8179 that is a comparison you can make, yes. i'm not sure it actually _means_ anything in this context, but you can indeed compare the lengths of two periods of time either way, that's not exactly a _short_ timeframe, and it comes about because light recognizes the need for the shinigami eyes because of, y'know, l, means he recognizes it because a. l's public announcement of tracking down kira and b. his _numerous encounters with l face-to-face._ without the latter of which, the shinigami eyes wouldn't be all that useful anyway. so it's questionable if misa would even enter the picture at all, she'd probably end up coming into play later even if she did, and even the same pace would give the z-fighters plenty of time to track down a rogue shinigami hanging out in a major population center. especially since i doubt shinigami ki blends in well with human ki hell. something i didn't even consider: dende. the lookout might not let him see absolutely _everything_ going on on earth, but he'd be one of the first the celestial bureaucracy would call in a situation like this and spotting a shinigami trailing behind a random kid on his way to prep school doesn't even come close to a stretch. maybe ryuk would have the sense to not stay around light as much as he does in death note, but ... he's also ryuk, and his entire motivation doing shit and seeing what happens, so he'd likely only do that if light convinced him not to follow him around. which, like. why would he do that. ryuk is full of useful information and he'd have no idea about the jolly green man in the sky who spends his days doing nothing but people watch, so without the opportunity and time to learn more about the world's supernatural elements, there'd be no reason to tell the invisible emo man to not follow him around there's a reason why androids not having ki to sense and dr. gero doing everything in his hidden lab in the middle of bumfuck nowhere were such key details in the android saga. there's ways to get away with shit under everyone's noses, absolutely, but it involves covering a _lot_ of bases that some bored honor student would have no way of knowing about

It’s funny this is kind of like L vs Light. Light had hell of hax compared to L (having invisible gods of death and super natural abilities). And Goku literally has a wish granting dragon that could give him any info. Or heck even zuno.
Keep in mind, mind control resistance exists to an extent in the Dragon World, with Vegeta only being able to be possessed due to allowing it. You'd have to assume the Death Note exceeds the magic capabilities of Babidi, which rivals the magic of the Supreme Kais.

Gohan and Piccolo both know that Kakkarot is Goku’s birth name. So if Lignt is very specific in how he manipulates/kills them, he can get them to reveal the “true birth name of the first fighter to face Cell in the Cell Games,” which will make them say “Kakkarot,” not Goku, and he wins. But because Light has no reason to believe Goku would use a pseudonym, it’s highly unlikely.
Even if Light played things extremely close to the chest and somehow found out the name of all the Z-Fighters before taking them all out at the same time, he'd also need to include all the allies capable of summoning the dragon and asking for a wish. Otherwise, it's a short-term victory.
3:57 it might’ve been an anime filler scene, but goku goes back to the battleground after beating demon king piccolo to get the power pole, and paparazzi take pictures of him. They would be able to connect the face to the finals of the 3 world martial arts tournaments in ogdb
Very well done! I have to point out too though that Piccolo is NOT named Piccolo after he fused with Kami, he simply says they can "Call me Piccolo" after specifically stating "I'm not Piccolo or Kami". Officially Piccolo would actually be "The Nameless Namekian" who split into Kami and King Piccolo ,which is hilarious, because in canon, Piccolo has no name.
Goku has also made a lot of friends across the world, the universe, and even the afterlife Wouldn't surprise me if one of his more magic or divine oriented friends knows what Light is up to and warns Goku about him
Light: hey so ur the person with powers. Goku: hehe, yeah! My name is Son Goku. Light: oh... I'll just write that down so I remember. 40 seconds pass Light: (?!) Hey, so is that ur nickname or something? Goku: well no, but my friends call me Kakarot. Light: oh interesting.. *writes it down* Light: well I have to go now, it was nice meeting you. (The end)
The only way I can see Light succeeding is with the use of the Dragon Balls. But even that is a stretch because even IF he knew about them he'd have no way to track them down because no one knows about the Dragon Radar. He'd have to get a hold of teh Red Ribbon Army's tech and use the Death Note to control someone to gather them for him. He'd have to summon Shenron to make his wish and he'd have a very small window to make himself a god before he'd get annihilated by Goku.

In order for Light to beat Goku with a powered up Death Note he would need to get information from someone close to him, that will take a while and even if he does he still needs to get his Saiyan name from them. Most of his friends either would outright refuse to say or get suspicious.
I thought about that too. It would be possible. The trouble is that Goku could discover and kill Light before anything happens(40s lol). Also even If for the sake of argument Goku could not come back to life through some method. He still has a body in the afterlife and could theoretically come back and smoke Light.
Great job mate, you went into a lot more depth that I thought and it made the video a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. However in terms you set out I actually think Light could still win. When he learns about King Picolo and the Cell games, he would wonder how Picolo came back from the dead (I'm sure the outcome of the fight would be public knowledge, the world would want to know what happened, and there were plenty of witnesses) . He would want more intel before proceeding with any Death Note kill, because know he knows people can either heal or come back from the dead. If we say the Death Note has Xeno strength, Light can erase them from existence, bypassing the after life. Then again, the actual Xeno might res Goku, then Light is screwed lol.
I think Kira could write in a new strain of the Heart Virus which did debilitate Goku, and then a horrible accident on top of it, if he knows to look for it. If he gets Vegeta to tell him the information instead of say, Piccolo, he could inadvertently get the right name.

In the event Light kills Goku he won’t stay dead. Unless Light can target everyone who’s allied to Goku and has a set of Dragon Balls then Goku just comes back. Worse yet Light would likely get caught in the long run once the Z-Fighters recognize someone is after them. They have magical artifacts from several planets(Earth and Namekian Dragon Balls) that can easily reveal who Light is and have close relations with divine entities with clairvoyance.
The ONLY way I can see Light winning is in this very specific set of circumstances: 1. Light kills Piccolo SPECIFICALLY in a way that both allows himself to know the name of Son Goku AND looks like an accident to the Z-Fighters. Therefore making it so Goku and the gang don't ask anybody why Piccolo died. (The only way I imagine this can happen is if he makes Piccolo tell the camera during the Cell Games Goku's full name, and then have him try and kill Cell.) 2. Light Yamgami tries to kill "Son Goku", just for it to not work because that isn't his "true name". He then tries to figure out any person's name and face related to Son Goku. 3. This leads Light to instruct Son Gohan to reveal it (since Light knows Gohan's face and name from the Cell Games.) and die somehow. (Ex: Come to Light Yamgami's location, say all the names Son Goku is called by, then fly into the sun.) 4. Light Yagami does all of this without any Z-fighters finding out before he kills Goku, or else a version of Future Trunks will come to the timeline and kill Light himself.
I’m not sure how many people talked about it but I’d say the chances that the death note could work on Goku are about the same as the chances of it working on Piccolo. Assuming that this takes place after the Cell Games, that means that it’s after his fusion with Kami, and not even Piccolo knows his own name (there’s also an argument that it wouldn’t work pre Cell Games because who’s to say that his fusion with Nail doesn’t affect things either). On top of that Nakemians like Saiyans have their own language so even if Light were to find out Piccolos real name, how is he supposed to write it in his native tongue?
Another thing to consider is the lack of last names. Aside from the briefs and Satan families, no last names are ever mentioned for the main cast. But since some are, would Kakarot even be enough to trigger the death note?
I think a better question is if Light is allowed to SURVIVE this encounter, and if he does would the team just use Shenron to wish that Light to be unable to use the death note or anything like it?
Jaco has the information Light needs. Name, Face and how to spell it as it will all be on the Galactic Patrol database. Light getting to Jaco and knowing that's his best shot is very unlikely.
What about this? light uses the death note to control a random person, he writes “X leaves a piece of the death note under a rock on at Y location before going somewhere and killing themselves in a place that won’t be found for weeks” then light once that piece of note is at Y location, and he has never been there it is unable to be traced back to him. He would then use his notebook again and write “Son Gohan (this can be anyone who knows Goku’s birth name) will conceal fly to Y location where he will write the true birth name given to Goku followed by “suicide in 40 seconds” while picturing his face in his mind, and then will stand still for a full minute before committing suicide”
@theendofthestart8179 All the dragon ball characters consider Goku to be Goku's true brith name. That suggestion may work with Vegeta. However, no one knows Vegeta's full name. (Which is Prince Vegeta IV.)
Realistically light would have to eventually get in touch with Mr Satan, who refers to goku as one of his apprentices. This got some heavy attention in an episode of super where a cat warrior challenges him. If light speaks to mr Satan, he can request a meeting with goku. When he meets goku, he says "hey I just need your birth name and I can find a super strong opponent for you"
Let's ignore the possibility of outside interference. Ryuk fucks off somewhere, the Dragon Balls are in another castle, Bulma is on a space cruise with every main character except Goku. The actual wrinkle here is the specific laws of the Death Note. See, if Goku can be affected by the Death Note at all, then it's a done deal once Light has all the information. If Light tries to kneecap himself by writing a death method that won't work on Goku, the Death Note will just rule that to be impossible and proceed with a heart attack death, which will definitely work. The real issue with the Death Note is that it doesn't work on aliens. The laws of the Death Note specify that it targets humans. Saiyans aren't a listed factor, and would therefore be immune. Now, Death Note fans might respond that thr King of Death could simply add a rule that lets it affect nonhuman sentient species. I, however, would argue that if the King of Death is allowed to update the rules of the Death Note, then Beerus is allowed to track down Light and annihilate his body and soul in their entirety. No outside interference means that we have to stick to the laws of the Death Note as written, and as written, Saiyans can't be targeted.
"The laws of the Death Note specify that it targets humans" is arguably just a translation error, the original text more closely says "person" it just never mattered.
Honestly, he could probably pull it off if he plays his cards right. If he's able to get close to the Z-Fighters, he might just overhear Vegeta referring to Goku as "Kakarot", so he'll be able to use both names just in case one or the other is the real deal. You know how he wiped his own memories to get closer to L? Kinda like that, just without the memory wipe part.
I believe there is a way Lights would come up with something especially if he feels these powerful people are in the way of his perfect world. He takes time and gathers Intel on Goku's friends who taught him how to fight in dragon ball who he fought against etc.
You're forgetting one thing. If he somehow managed to kill Goku with the Death Note, even if by some fluke those heart attacks count as a natural death goku could still get a day pass from fortune teller Baba to come to Earth. (why future goku from Trunk's timeline didn't do this I don't know, you know, besides plot convenience)
Im pretty sure in the original japanese, valid targets for the Death Note are "ningen", which has often been translated in other works to "mortal" not "human", so Goku can probably be targeted by the Death Note. And honestly, if a heart virus can kill Goku i feel like a heart attack could also get the job done. Light could also just write Suicide and have Goku ki blast his own head off. Honestly the biggest hurdle is the name; Vegeta is the only person on the planet who calls him Kakarrot, and there is an open question regarding spelling the name. The Saiyans probably had a completely alien alphabet, and again the only person who might even theoretically remember it is Vegeta. Shinigami Eyes are mandatory to pull out a win here, but with them its easy ggs
Yes I agree, its more like "people" than "human" The heart virus kill a pre-cell goku, he is much stronger now inside and out, but I still think the book would do the trick, especially with the self inflicted. I think its important to remember that light is canonically smarter than you and me, and would be able to come up with a plan neither of us can ever think of.
@@theendofthestart8179 honestly if Misa is in play, Light just automatically wins. The Cell Game footage is available to the public, and the Shinigami Eyes have been shown to work through cameras
@@heatran1919 Indeed, and although this heavily biased video for some reason is pitting start of the show Light vs modern goku, I think thats fucking stupid and that light should have access to both misa AND Teru Mikami. heck id even give him the post-L japanese task force. I agree that this video is incredibly biased but I still think it's hypothetically possible that goku might just be too strong for the death note to work.
The problem with the way you tackle Light in this case is you are seeing him a an enemy from the Pov of both Z fighters and himself, when the Z fighters aren't aware of him and he can act decently enough, so if you asked me what he would find intresting while searching for Goku's name is his relation with Bulma, Light is clever so he would be able to get close to her by studying her work and with a few interactions with some charisma he might have a chance at interacting with the Z fighters, after that getting Goku's name is just a matter of waiting untill the he sees Vegeta calling him Kakarot
In reality it would be very easy for Light to find out who Goku, considering Videl knew who he was and was able to figure out he was Gohan's father for Light ot eould be a cake walk. Also in dragon ball Goku's family is one of the few that still uses last names( in dragon ball world apperently last names are not used anymore)so for Light it would be fairly easy.
I think the main advantage Light has is how nonchalant DB characters are outside of combat. In this scenario, I actually think a potential win could come out of him discovering Goku's association with Bulma. Because in the B.O.G film, when Shenrons summoned, even the cop lady was like: "Oh, capsule corps doing weird shit again." So at the very least, we know Bulma and her dad are somewhat famous and in the public eye. I'd imagine they may even play a role in the science world as investors maybe. Light's been shown to do some pretty wild shit to gain advantage, including throwing himself into situations where he has no power at all just to take eyes off him. Because of this, if he figured out the Briefs connection to Goku, I could absolutely see him figuring out some way to infiltrate Capsule Corp. Given his intelligence, he could pose as a maintenance worker or something to that effect while he bides his time and maybe gains trust from certain characters. But the biggest form of info would likely come from Vegeta. All it would take is seeing one interaction between Goku and Vegeta while Lights hovering around Capsule Corp and he'd find out his name. Basically, through Bulma, Light could very possibly get a win if he was patient, had enough plot armor, and bided his time. I could also see it working if Light just dead ass played into Goku's arrogance (Shown in B.O.G also when he responded to Beerus. "You dare doubt me?") I could absolutely see Light throwing out some shit like: "I could beat you within a minute. All I need is your real name." Goku: "You're a weird guy, Light. I don't know why you need my name to fight, but it's Kakarot." I could dead ass see that working. Especially on Super Goku lol
Nope... Even though the Saiyans spoke English/Japanese they didn't use the Latin Alphabet... or Japanese characters... they used an Alien Alphabet Bulma had to decode. Therefore... He wouldn't be able to spell Goku's Saiyan Name correctly and it wouldn't work. The Death note states after misspelling someone's name four times they cant be killed with the Death Note anymore.
If he gets info from piccolo he might just barely be able to have gohan kill Goku before dying. While writing Goku might not kill him it should be enough for gohan to go off of. A surprise attack from his own son may be enough to kill him.
Yeah, and then Gohan would snap out of it, go Beast 2 or even 3 (upon realizing what made Piccolo die is what made him kill Goku), and then Light is atomized on the spot. Then sent to Yemma, and then he's sent to hell and becomes someone's bottom bitch.
@@michaellevin2861 I mean he would have to die for the mind control to take effect. But the really funny part is going to be Goku instant transmitting right in front of light and light just seeing the halo above His head and instantly realizing how much he fucked up.
I think Light has a better chance just walking up to anyone in the zfighters and just straight up asking for their real name and come up with a random reason as to why he needs it.
The one flaw I see with this isn't really even part of the video, just the idea that, assuming the death note works on Goku in the first place and then also saying "but he could survive a heart attack so it might not even kill him the first time." isn't really how the death note works. A human *could* survive a heart attack, Car Accident, gunshot wound, just like Goku *could* survive a heart attack. When any of those things are creates by the death note they don't. This is because the death note functions on different hax than just "causing a heart attack". It can be fate hax, mind hax, death hax, etc. Everything else in the video was great though.
2:07 *cough cough* The Heart Virus LITERALLY killed Goku in the future timeline and almost got him in the main timeline despite the fact that it’s a EARTH-BASED VIRUS *cough cough*
@@dino_mite8403 buddy, Future Trunks stated that the Heart Virus was common enough in the future to require ACTUAL STUDY AND MEDICATION for it. If it was directly from Namek then why didn’t anyone else catch it and if it was from Yardrat it would have effected Goku only and still have not effected anyone else 17-20 years later in the future timeline. You can’t just make a “cure” from just one person being effected alone, let alone having the medication finally become available over a decade after the original sufferer had passed on. The only REASONABLE explanation is that Goku caught it when he was young after Grandpa Gohan died but before he met Bulma (wild monkey boy remember?) and that it hibernated and incubated in his body like AIDS does.
Technically, since the Death Note recognizes birth names as true names, it would probably make Piccolo tell Light that Goku's name is Kakarot. It still wouldn't matter though, since death in Dragon Ball is merely a minor inconvenience, and Vegeta would probably be pissed if someone killed Goku.
It’s funny people trynna argue Kira could kill Goku when even back in Saiyan saga when Z warriors wished for Nappa and Vegeta to die Shenron couldn’t do jt
Well, I think here might be a slight wiggle room that might allow to know goku's real name. If light asks the note for (let's say gohan) to say the name of the man who fought cell after mr satan, wouldn't the same rule in the notebook that forces to use his birth name make gohan also say his real name? After all, the notebook only recognices as name the birth one, so wouldn't this semantic play force gohan to say kakarot? And gohan knows the name, because he has heard vegeta say it many times (and I think also the reason why he calls him kakarot, but maybe this was from raditz). So, depending on how the book reacts to the term name, it could go either way. But probably light is still going to have his butt served to him on a platter no long after.
5:30 There is A Problem to Kill Piccolo, I know is weird but he DO NOT KNOW HIS OWN NAME, sounds weird right? But is true, when he fused with Kami he is now Technically a version of the Nameless Namekusei that was divided, but here is the problem he do not remmenber the name, after fusing, the Z Fighter ask how he wants to be called, and he said that he do not know, but they can Still call him Piccolo, Basically not even he have access to his name.
In the scenario were Light takes over Piccolo and ibstruct him to tell Goku's name the Death Note will Likely make him say the true name, since it is vague enough of an order to mean that and the DN will care about actual names that work with it and not the comon way a person is called. In the worst scenario they would say/write "Son Goku / Kakaroto".
Even if Light got the name Kakarot from Vegeta, I doubt Vegeta bothered asking Raditz how to spell it. Making it basically impossible for Light to kill Goku unless he used Shenron or went to Zuno. Even if Light tried going after the Dragon Balls, currently thanks to what happened with Frieza I think it's been stated that Bulma has teams gathering them to make sure they aren't used for evil.
Also, Goku is immune to mind control, it goes all the way back into the original series, where even the devil couldn’t control Gokus mind to have his heart blown up. Even if light tried to control gokus actions to die, Goku would sense this mind control. In the db series, mind control, telepathy, and acknowledgement of outside influences are very involved in the series, even in early dbz. Many characters have mind control abilities or mind reading, including master roshi, baba, and piccolo
I think it would be possible, but it would be some extremely clever and unusual method. You have to remember Light has like a 200 IQ so he can think of many more scenarios than we can.

@@thegodofsaiyans535 Even Worse his real name is birth name is Kakarot not Son Goku
Well Gokus a special case
When you die, you reincarnate and your orginal soul and identity are diluted, as seen with Uub and how the dragons needed living bodies to return the deceased souls during King Piccolos Arc, Earth in the Buu Saga, as well as everyone who died on Namek in the Freeza saga.
@@thegodofsaiyans535
Good point, but its kinda refuted by the fact that its an anime-only thing.
All the canon events of death, and resurrection support this from
1.) Needing a body for resurrections (King Piccolo Saga- the deceased Z Fighters were specifically mentioned as resurrected bc their bodies were kept in good shape, Resurrection F- when Frieza was revived it was in the pieces Trunks cut him into
Gokus deaths all had him skip important aspects of reincarnating
Moro Arc- Merus keeping his soul and identity required special intervention from the Grand Priest
Buu Saga- Porunga said resurrecting Kid Buus victims could take time, implying he needed to resurrect each individual killed one by one, as well as Gokus wish implying had he not asked King Yemma for his favour, Kid Buu would have taken a much longer route to reincarnating via soul cleansing
2.) Bodies aren’t kept in the afterlife, everyone who canonically lives in Other world is an actual denizen maintaining the place, while deceased souls are only seen as the anonymous ghost blobs, with Goku again skipping the process when he died bc of special circumstances
3.) Besides Hakai, souls cannot be destroyed and merely transfer from a physical plane to a spiritual one, before returning back as a new identity
4.) Unique resurrections like Babas interventions with Grandpa Gohan, Goku, Vegeta and Freeza are contractual given the actual thing keeping them alive is a limited source of currency so to speak, so as seen w Grandpa Gohan, the process returns back to normal once its done

To be fair the only rule that needs to be Altered is that Goku isn't a human, but he was killed by a heart disease in another timeline so the death note should be able to effect him in a similar way if his name is writen In it.
if goku was in the deathnote universe, hed probably just killhimself eventually since there is nobody worth fighting.

Light basically has no chance, and you are accurate in your analysis. However, there are three things I don’t think you accounted for.
1. Light could have Gohan and Piccolo state Goku’s true name since they know it and light is aware that he needs it
2. Vegeta was at the Cell games and possibly could said Kakarot in his usual loud fashion, allowing the camera to pick it up (I’m not rereading to verify)
3. King Kai would notice the random deaths far before Light kills Gohan or Piccolo and could use the same methods you described that Goku could use to find light. This would probably involve the namekian dragon balls
Bonus: Perhaps Beerus, Whis, or.
Light would not think about asking about Goku's alien name, so Gohan and Piccolo would just say Goku, especially since as far as they're concerned, that is what it is, unlike Vegeta.
even if goku somehow dies he doesnt die he just goes to king kai's planet till hes revived again lol
I doubt piccolo or Gohan would say Kakarot with that question since they seem to both call him Goku since they view that as his true name and never called him that with Vegeta being the only person that calls Goku by his birth name

Shenron would state it as such, and Goku and the gang would've noticed Shenron being summoned by then and come.

it's possible that _someone_ in the dragonball universe could be handed a death note and have the techniques and knowledge of the cosmology to properly avoid detection while using it, but a prep school kid who just so happened to stumble upon a bored shinigami's game? yeah, dude's getting caught and disarmed p. much eventually
that just leaves the real question: how hard is _ryuk_ getting punched for setting in motion the ( incredibly short-lived ) kira case solely because he was bored?
why didnt goku just magic find the cell larvae and destory it? or any of the androids while they were being made, or any of the villians who managed to use the dragon balls? goku cant just magic locate random japanese teens at will.

there's a reason why androids not having ki to sense and dr. gero doing everything in his hidden lab in the middle of bumfuck nowhere were such key details in the android saga. there's ways to get away with shit under everyone's noses, absolutely, but it involves covering a _lot_ of bases that some bored honor student would have no way of knowing about

Short version - No. if Light can learn the Saiyan writing system, yes. But that relies on him getting Vegeta to teach him (or him somehow getting the higher beings - Kais and Angels- to show him a written version of "Kakorot")

Light: wait we can talk about this wait we can talk about this
Gohan and Piccolo both know that Kakkarot is Goku’s birth name.
In this scenario he gets cooked by mr satan and videl
3:57 it might’ve been an anime filler scene, but goku goes back to the battleground after beating demon king piccolo to get the power pole, and paparazzi take pictures of him. They would be able to connect the face to the finals of the 3 world martial arts tournaments in ogdb
Goku meeting light: "Hey I heard you beat piccolo, LETS FIGHT!!!🗣"
Light: "ok goku, but if you let me transform, I can give you an ever better fight"
Goku: "ok"
Light: *write it down*
WOMP WOMP
Short answer, yes. The virus from Yardrat can kill Goku via heart attack.
But... Goku's real name is Kakarot and there is no public record of that.
The deathnote specific rule: works only on humans.
So no effect on goku who is a saiyan.
Goku has also made a lot of friends across the world, the universe, and even the afterlife
Wouldn't surprise me if one of his more magic or divine oriented friends knows what Light is up to and warns Goku about him
Light: hey so ur the person with powers.
Goku: hehe, yeah! My name is Son Goku.
Light: oh... I'll just write that down so I remember.
40 seconds pass
Light: (?!) Hey, so is that ur nickname or something?
Goku: well no, but my friends call me Kakarot.
Light: oh interesting.. *writes it down*
Light: well I have to go now, it was nice meeting you.
(The end)
Then goku is just standing there confused
And then goku gets a heart attack but passes a ki blast into the air with then revives him lol
Maybe light could get someone to use the dragon balls, then he could get the info he needs. Seems like a long shot though

In order for Light to beat Goku with a powered up Death Note he would need to get information from someone close to him, that will take a while and even if he does he still needs to get his Saiyan name from them. Most of his friends either would outright refuse to say or get suspicious.

In this hypothetical, couldn't he just force Piccolo or Gohan to say Goku's real birth name. They know its Kakarot.

I thought about that too. It would be possible. The trouble is that Goku could discover and kill Light before anything happens(40s lol). @@jeremymorris345 Picolo is a Nameless namekian do you think death note would work on someone who doesn't even have a name.
@@jeremymorris345 also the speed they would say it at can be very fast for light to even hear it
Great job mate, you went into a lot more depth that I thought and it made the video a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.
In Japan when they say Human, they usually mean Mortal so the Death Note would probably work on Son Goku, but the other issue is which name is valid.

The ONLY way I can see Light winning is in this very specific set of circumstances:
1. Light kills Piccolo SPECIFICALLY in a way that both allows himself to know the name of Son Goku AND looks like an accident to the Z-Fighters. Therefore making it so Goku and the gang don't ask anybody why Piccolo died. (The only way I imagine this can happen is if he makes Piccolo tell the camera during the Cell Games Goku's full name, and then have him try and kill Cell.)
(Ex: Come to Light Yamgami's location, say all the names Son Goku is called by, then fly into the sun.)
4. Light Yagami does all of this without any Z-fighters finding out before he kills Goku, or else a version of Future Trunks will come to the timeline and kill Light himself.
You forgot the one scenario were he manages to kill Goku just for him to revive.
Pretty sure all of Light's plans crumble to a single Senzu Bean.
Fr
"light we gotta go, this crazy mf can see my ass, he staring into my soul with some MEAN looking eyes"
Finding goku’s name is the easiest thing ever if u talk to him he will probably start the conversation with “hey It’s me goku”
Ryuk would not allow light to live if he wasnt able to use the not anymore. that would be boring.

Yes I agree, its more like "people" than "human"
The heart virus kill a pre-cell goku, he is much stronger now inside and out, but I still think the book would do the trick, especially with the self inflicted.
I think goku would unironically be cooked if light is only trying to kill him. The biggest problem for light is that death doesnt really stop goku...
Because in the B.O.G film, when Shenrons summoned, even the cop lady was like: "Oh, capsule corps doing weird shit again."
So at the very least, we know Bulma and her dad are somewhat famous and in the public eye.
"You dare doubt me?")
I could absolutely see Light throwing out some shit like: "I could beat you within a minute. All I need is your real name."
Goku: "You're a weird guy, Light. I don't know why you need my name to fight, but it's Kakarot."
I could dead ass see that working. Especially on Super Goku lol
Super goku is Oblivious not stupid like GT and Kackaroto does not have a last name
Well it's never confirmed where he got the heart virus he could've gotten it from yardrat or namek for all we know
@@dino_mite8403 buddy, Future Trunks stated that the Heart Virus was common enough in the future to require ACTUAL STUDY AND MEDICATION for it.
Imagine if light wrote a very specific scenario that will eventually kills goku in a way that would make sense, kira would win this fight then
It’s funny people trynna argue Kira could kill Goku when even back in Saiyan saga when Z warriors wished for Nappa and Vegeta to die Shenron couldn’t do jt
This is really interesting I would like to see a similar concept of this in the future for DBS
I honestly believe that kira is cooked 💀
In the scenario were Light takes over Piccolo and ibstruct him to tell Goku's name the Death Note will Likely make him say the true name, since it is vague enough of an order to mean that and the DN will care about actual names that work with it and not the comon way a person is called.
In the worst scenario they would say/write "Son Goku / Kakaroto".
Cell also already off Light when he went to the tournament and wrote his name in the death note, stopping Cell's heart, Cell came back and off him.
Light is canonically smarter than any of us, and would probably be able to come up with a plan that we couldnt.
This should be a 10 second video: the death note only works on humans, Goku is a Saiyan, Goku mogs gg
1:11 From what I know you need a name, and Goku doesn't because it's not his real name so the death would fail unless he can get his sayein name
