I made 1000 grams of kielbasa today. After the protein extraction in the mixer, it was pretty sticky. I was impressed with what I was doing. _....all the way up to the time when I started to use the kitchen-aid sausage tube!_ *WHAT A PAINFUL MESS!* The easiest part was when I pushed the last of the sausage through the tube. *WITH MY FINGER.* Needless to say, I bought a Lem stuffer after I was finished. I would love to have 5 minutes with the person who designed that plastic attachment!
@@nwadentrepairpaintlessdent2603 I have a friend who swears by the Smokehousechef version. I just pulled the trigger on one. Little pricey though. We'll see.
@@fmartin59 so I got it a couple of weeks ago. So far I ground 3lbs of ribeye, two chuck roasts both for burgers. I also did an entire pork butt (-8lbs). I cubed them all up and put them in the freezer for an hour right before grinding. I also put all the parts of the grinder in the freezer (except the threaded ring part). It went like a breeze. I did not make sausages yet just ground meat. It turned out perfect. I've been told that the secret is cooling the meat down before processing. I have the bigger kitchen aid and speed was set to #3.
@@MrJoshcc600 He probably has at least a basic understanding of mechanical engineering. Which is all you need to know that these kinds of uses are very heavy on the motor.
Yeah, the sausage attachment is worthless. It just took me two hours to make 4 lbs. of sausage. Never again. If I do it again, I'll get a dedicated, powerful sausage stuffer. KitchenAid, really, you should just wave the white flag here. It is so bad, it's embarrassing.
Those machines will not last long with that attachment grinding meat. I like how she just keeps shoving the meat in and nothing is coming out in the casing.
Your gonna burn out your motor way horrible waste of energy should just make a derivated unit specifically for the attachments and these mixers are not cheap also a fire hazard
The action starts at 5:36
LMAO...I was thinking exactly the same thing. A pair of reprobates we are.
love how she's holding the sausage at 6:38. reminds me of my high school nurse...love it
Keep pushing darling.... you are going to finish that sausage next year...

Thats right! Its not working properly.
omg look at her handle the sausage and casing.
I'm assuming this is terrible technique? I'm about ready for my first try with the same attachment and am looking at different technique videos...
This is a work horse… i love it
Cool, made one sausage.
I love this meat grinder
ahe really made a banger lol
I've just bought this set and came here for the demo. That voice OMG!
Has anyone experienced metal shavings coming off of this since someone mentioned it's aluminum?
"metal". Aluminum?
kitchenaid blender is the best, just not for sausage
doesn't go in dishwasher :( it turns dark grey.. it is aluminium. But still do a great job
The grinder works decent, but the stuffer part is trash.
Why is that? Is it too slow? It looks slow.
@@PeterSz73 it doesn't push the meat through properly. It just turns it to mush and you have to use the plunger to push it through.

Get a ninja, people who want a grinder want it for grinding 300 pounds of meat not 2 pounds of fruit.
That girl in the background is trying so hard not to laugh and she even breaks a few times during the sausage making lol
Hello sir how much is the grinder with sausage stuffer.. I'm from the Philippines
Her voice makes me cringe 😭
I had to take my earphones off.
She sounds like she’s about to cry
Her voice omg 😱 no thank you
I know...I feel bad but because she was born with it but...wow. :O(
I wasn’t sure if it was just because it offends my British ears or whether anyone had noticed 😂
That's nothing she can change. Not like she can get plastic surgery for it or a membership...
103$ retail? Why is it 250 euro in the netherlands? That's almost 300$.
It is currently for €149 on the official KitchenAid website in the Netherlands. Still more than in USA, but those would probably be the import costs…
Can you make bratwurst with this?
That machine should keep mixing cakes , grinder pushes the motor to its limits.
Do you have one too testify or just internet trolling?

Amazon has this for $35.99!

Não recomendo a compra, comprei um triturador de alimentos e quebrou no segundo uso. Má qualidade
I do not recommend the purchase, I bought a food crusher and it broke on the second use. Bad quality

I have been using my mixer for years without any issues at all and use it all the time.
So I should buy a separate grinder?
