Kevduit I was wondering if you can do a video to help beginners. I've been playing for a month and taking things slow. I'm a level 20 now and it is starting to get hard, I don't know what to do to get better at the game and get better weapons/armor (other than crafting) so I'm stuck with lower level gear while my rank increases; there not getting the job done, also while my skill isn't increasing. You don't have to help with my specific problem but can you make a video to help all the first time players.
Please make a checklist of things to do for an item when you pick it up. For example: 1. Can i research it? 2. Is it better than my current gear? 3. Deconstruct else
7:58 This point that you made is no longer true. Surveys from Crafting Writs now drop randomly for different zones, regardless of your Crafting Skill in a particular tree. 9/10 or 10/10 makes no difference on whether you get Craglorn surveys or not. This was changed a long time ago with the One Tamriel Update.

Been playing this great game for a couple months now. I'm still getting totally wrecked in pvp, so I decided to become a master crafter and forge the most legendary armor set ever in the history of Tamriel.
Small point, but the direct gold reward for completing crafting writs is based on your XP level instead of your crafting level. As long as you're 50 you'll get 664 gold even from level 1 writs.
Sorry if you said this, but dont refine any materials until your extraction passives are ALL the way up. The chances of getting gold materials is bananas, and is extremely important for jewelry in particular
Actually that didn’t turn out to be true, I played Eso for 2 years. I’m a grand master crafter, though I never reached full potential I still put out 30k dps.
I'm a master crafter in provisioning, potions and enchanting. I just can't get my hands on any of the higher end styles for clothier, blacksmithing and woodworking (guild prices!) no matter how much I dungeon and steal (I steal EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE). And sadly at my level all the special writs are only for the high end styles! ...but I keep trying 🤬😭
Rolandas Jarosevicius I had eso plus then stopped subbing when I stopped playing. The items stay in the craft bag, but any more additional things you pick up will go in your inventory, which is nice.
I can vouch for the grabbing bugs. Found myself seriously lacking in thoraxes and butterfly wings trying to level alchemy and doing the later writs. Also I've already gotten myself research times of 30+ days...
I made characters dedicated to crafting. A sorcereress for enchanting an orc for my woodworking/clothing/blacksmithing. I have a thief character who does my potion making.

Hey Kev, max level writs don't send you to Orsinium anymore, nor are the surveys bound to the zone you turn in at, so the comment about keeping lvl 9 crafters for Craglorn surveys was outdated by One Tamriel.
before people start paying a monthly subscription just consider making a ''crafting character'' where you max out every crafting skill and have the entire inventory dedicated to crafting.

Purple Haze If you're talking about when they do like an assassin's creed type of stealth kill, that is actually a dlc requirement, going to the dark brothsrhood will give you the blade of woe and a skill line, sneaking up to enemies you'll be able to activate a synergy for a stealth takedown. Well, really powerful weapons is a tricky one to answer. Power comes through gear "sets", armor that when wearing multiple items of the set gives you bonuses. Some really powerful sets can be crafted if you know the appropriate amount of traits for the each piece of armor to craft the set. Other really powerful sets can be picked up from bosses or chests. Each zone or dungeon has their own sets, just google them, find out a cool set, go to the area and kill some bosses. Many players "farm" them, running back and forth from dark anchors and bosses that are really close to eachother. So find a boss or an anchor that has lots of people so its easy. Or dungeons, pick an easy dungeon (if the dungeon has option 1 or 2, example fungal 1 or fungal 2.) always pick 1, its the easier version and on the earlier dungeons you can jump in as a tank even if you do damage, they're not really tank essential, nothing 1 shots you and a healer can fix any damage you take, run through those a hundred times or kill bosses and you'll pick up powerful gear that will increase your damage and make you stronger.

I want to get my crafting skills up to craft for my friends and stuff. One thing that is annoying is my alt characters that are either just for crafting or just alchemy(enchanting and such) , the alt characters skill points I put into non fighting skills. Which means they are weak af against enemies. Should I put a couple points into combat points ?

Just a few questions: I've two characters around level 15 at the minute and so far I've just made one character the crafter with the other character dumping mats and recipes in the bank for him to use/learn. This might be a little bit of a problem as I actually want to use the crafter for quests and general PvE but it will be a strain on SPs. The crafter is only around level 8 on the consumables crafts and has learned quite a few recipes in the meantime. Is it too late/a waste to make my other character the consumable crafter instead? It frees up some SPs for my main crafter and I feel like my other character is more involved with the game. Also, is it better to level up my metalworking/tailoring/woodworking as fast as possible or wait until I've used the previous level resources up for experience with the writs? I've a crap ton of iron ingots in the bank but because I've leveled up my metalworking, the writs don't use them. Sorry it's long winded haha but any help is appreciated :)
My main character that I played since launch is a Tank that I use in dungeons and trials and he has maxed all crafts, it does take ALOT of skill points but it is possible to have a complete crafter and still actually be playable even in hard content. But you will have to farm every skill point possible, luckily a lot of them are in questing. Make sure you do mages guild, fighters guild, main quest and the zone quests where you talk to the big honcho king and he sends you around the map. Dungeons the first time around each give skill points and any dlc quests. If you do these you'll be able to do all crafting and still have enough for abilities to actually survive in the game.
Dominic Griffin its not necessarry to max any craft immediately because max crafts you can make items for max level players, and if none of your characters are max level then its kinda pointless. Just keep your crafts close to your level, making sure that you can make things your level. Also, whatever level your crafting is will determine 50% of the materials you find and your player level determines the other 50%. You've probably seen it on your other characters where some materials are your level but the other half are still level 1 iron. Thats because of chraft. If you make sure your craft is the same as your character level, then 100% of the materials you will see in the world will be your level and actually useful to you instead of a massive pile of level 1 iron or a massive pile of high level stuff.
Ah, ok. I feel more invested in characters that can also craft so I think I'll do equipment on one and consumables on another. It's good to know that it can be done on one character without sacrificing other areas if I decide to expand, though :) I'm only around level 7 for blacksmithing and even lower for the other two so I need to get them around level 15 for it to sync with my character level. Do you have any tips on leveling equipment crafts? I'm kinda struggling at the moment. I was doing the writs thinking they gave you xp but they don't. I mainly play solo so It's a pain deconstructing other peoples creations. Cheers for the info, dude, I appreciate it.
Dominic Griffin Well, the way I levelled up my equipment crafting really fast was do dungeons, my characters are usually tanks or healers so I get into random dungeon queues almost instantly, I just repeated that over and over, pick up everything, deconstruct and research. After two days I would have maxed woodworking, cloth and metal and have a nice pile of materials. If your character isn't a tank or a healer and you don't want to spend your hours of play time running around trying to find iron, wood and cloth and just craft, deconstruct, craft, deconstruct till your brains fall out. You can jump into cyrodil and play the game, just relax, have fun, play. Getting alliance points and being active will reward you with mail that gives armor, also you can use the alliance points you get to buy gear at a vendor, just go for the cheapest one, buy as much as you can and deconstruct everything. It will give amazing resources and its not boring if you love cyrodil. So dungeons or Cyrodil are the best ways that don't make you want to shoot yourself.

Are lesser /minor/common soul gems worth anything because it was removed from drops in the game? Like, would you deem them useless relics of the past or 'collectibles' that i could gain gold from.

You have to have a weapon or a piece of armor with a trait on it. Researching it will cause it to be destroyed.
what about the training trait? everybody wants that
you know you can use the mape on what ever toon you want from your account so i move my maps to my highest lvl craftier
