Hi! Thanks for watching! To be honest, the area is not very safe. I didn’t know that before I went, and I didn’t have any problems, but a lot of people mentioned that it isnt the safest area in Paris, so I probably would not stay there if I went back. Hope this helps :)

Here's the link for the free walking tour I did with Sandeman's: www.neweuropetours.eu/sandemans-tours/paris/free-tour-of-paris/ The tour is technically free but tip-based, so I usually tip between 5 and 20 euros depending on how good the tour is as well as how many other people are on the tour. I think 10 euros is usually a good standard.

The hostel itself was really big and I was happy with my room, but I do agree that the area is pretty sketchy for solo female travellers. I learned that after I arrived and I was personally fine, but if you can find a better hostel for a reasonable price, I would encourage you to go there if you feel more safe! Hope this helps :)

I'm dreaming of going to Paris like since I was 15 so scared I will have to go alone I'm a introvert can't do group tours and stuff but so afraid I see all these solo female travel vlogs so inspiring I speak no French definitely will learn some before going the basics anyway they are much nicer I heard if you attempt to speak their language.

How is it? I am deterred to go here solo with all the pickpocketing news . Is it as bad as they say? I’ve been to Portugal and Greece and didn’t experience anything bad but then I was with someone else. Portugal we walk around the backstreet and took short cuts etc but even in the main tourist area I felt safe. Greece was a bit run down but overall no one approach me or anything, we took the bus and no one bothered us and we walked to our hotel again felt fine. Did meet some rude people at the busy area who apparently wasn’t happy that people were not using the right side coming down or going up to see the ruins. Really want to go to Paris and Spain. Hey Natalie! I would definitely recommend checking out Paris. There are definitely a lot of pickpocketing horror stories, but I think as long as you are careful you will be fine. I had an amazing time there and even though I definitely walked past some sketchy areas, I felt relatively safe the whole time. Safe travels to you too!

Hey Norma! Angelina Cafe was pretty expensive and to be completely honest, I didn’t really like it. The famous hot chcolate and dessert I tried were both too sweet for my liking, but if you have a sweet tooth, it might be perfect for you.
How easy is using the metro there? Did you experience any racism in any of Europe? As a fellow POC who's never been to Europe and hearing stories it makes me somewhat apprehensive on going there solo
The metro is super easy to use! I recommend buying the card that gives you 10 passes for the metro if you plan on taking it frequently. Also as a POC, I have never had any issues solo travelling in Europe. There are definitely stories I've heard about blatant racism, but I believe those situations are not as common as they can appear. Typically, most people are either friendly or indifferent, so I've never had any issues when I travel as a female solo traveller. Hope this answers your questions!
what's it like sharing a hostel with random people? I imagine you get to know eachother pretty well. Is it awkward at all? I am trying to see what the best thing I can do for the best price because I am travelling to paris in about 2 monthes
It can be a little awkward at first but once you introduce yourself and start chatting, they can come some really good friends! I love staying in hostels if you are solo travelling and want to meet new people :)
Yes! Most people can speak English, but I still recommend learning the basic French phrases before going. Just saying “Bonjour!” can make a big difference in changing people’s attitudes!

I was definitely solo travelling in Paris, I just met friends along the way like the girl I met through the free walking tour which is an excellent way to meet people when you are solo travelling. Solo travelling doesn't mean always being alone, it means that you are there by yourself but you are open to meeting new people and having new experiences. I hope you have a great solo trip to Paris!

There are definitely stories I've heard about blatant racism, but I believe those situations are not as common as they can appear. Typically, most people are either friendly or indifferent, so I've never had any issues when I travel as a female solo traveller. Hope this answers your questions!

It can be a little awkward at first but once you introduce yourself and start chatting, they can come some really good friends! I love staying in hostels if you are solo travelling and want to meet new people :)

Yes! Most people can speak English, but I still recommend learning the basic French phrases before going. Just saying “Bonjour!” can make a big difference in changing people’s attitudes!

I was definitely solo travelling in Paris, I just met friends along the way like the girl I met through the free walking tour which is an excellent way to meet people when you are solo travelling. Solo travelling doesn't mean always being alone, it means that you are there by yourself but you are open to meeting new people and having new experiences. I hope you have a great solo trip to Paris!

You shouldn't be scared when you are in Paris, I come to paris 4-5 times a year, nothing has ever happened. You just have to use your common sense.
