Not liking the OG Friday the 13th is a little sacrilegious but to each their own. I feel like it's a bit of a relic of it's time. Later movies do things much better but it was pretty early in the slasher genre. The Kevin Bacon kill is still iconic though.
Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Scream were truly scary movies. 1 hit wonders that should've been one and done. They turned into redundant cash cows.
For me it has to be the nightmare series. Some of the wackiest and funniest horror movies i have ever seen. After that is probably alien, predator, and then the childs play movies because those are just pure entertainment. But my fav standalone horror movie has to be The Thing 1982. Just a great movie in every way. I also enjoy some f13 movies and halloween movies but not nearly as much. Any horror movie about ghosts is a bore for me though. Oh, and i like scream of course. And the best modern horror movies are def A Quiet Place and IT.

It’s all up to interpretation at the end of it, and that’s why both horror and sci-fi are my favorite genres!

We are VERY similar, however I am too in love currently with sci-fi horror lately!
