One thing you may find interesting is that a number of times Diana has stated that she much prefers songs with meanings. When she has been asked how she conveys the emotion so clearly and powerfully she says she isn't aware of her performance while singing. Like any good Method actor (derived from the Stanislavsky School), she builds rapport with her audience and then goes into a trance and "lives" the song, thus pulling the audience with her. This is why at the end of emotionally sad songs she will often have tears in her eyes. She's that far into the song! And we love her for it. Diana-queen of goosebumps. :)

She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D7) and her voice sometimes has polyphonic overtones. I would like to recommend that you listen to... and watch his performance in the program You are super, with the theme Rechenka (the river). It's crazy to see how at 14 years old she is able to interpret a song like that in such a spectacular way... many would be unable to do it at 41.

When Diana was 10-13 years old, she sang in jazz musicals. She can sing jazz. Check out Diana's TH-cam page for a New Year's performance of Louis Armstrong's song "What a Wonderful World" (th-cam.com/video/GOA9Fo7WKWg/w-d-xo.html). She sings this song beautifully, but really not in the way you expect her to. But she always sings differently than everyone else does. That's why, Diana, this is a white crow, that is, not like the others.
She has done everything, Songs that she stay in the low register, songs that are only in high register and of course the mix, she sang jazz, poetry, classics, opera, pop, rap i mean the one thing i have yet to see her sing is metal and i think that she will obliterate the stage if she ever tries epic metal.
She is a complete artist.

When you come back to Diana again, I suggest Rechenka. She is playing with so many colors of her voice to create effects supporting the primal wild nature of the song, it is such a pleasure. Especially given that she was just 14 in that performance, and her voice sounds nothing like that.

You have a nice smile and look so happy. I enjoyed your comments and observations. This is one of the two songs Diana made during one of the lockdowns during the pandemic. She had to cancel some concert dates so she made those for her fans. Havana is the other one she made. It's a fun video and they were both shot from her apartment in Moscow. Diana incorporates Jazz into her cover of What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, you should take a look at that. I'm sure you would love her version. She put it out around Christmas time/New Year this past season. Diana turns 19 on the 31st of May. I believe she was 16 here. As far as a song with one color...HUMAN. It's a showcase of her lower register tone quality. Diana's most spectacular song on the internet is Rechenka. Russian Folk. It's just amazing, and her voice at 14 will simply astound you.

Обыкновенная гнусавая певичка, поющая искусственно играющим голосом. Причём в основном иностранные песни, так как с песнями на русском языке, у неё получается хуже. Потому что все песни на русском у неё слышатся как будто у неё заложен нос. И вот такие как вы, называя её несравненной, унижаете и уменьшаете заслуги других ребят, которые поют чистым и сильным голосом, но их не замечают потому что вашу Диану явно кто-то пропихивает на сцену и вот такие как вы тоже. На всех конкурсах где она выигрывала, другие девочки спели лучше, но выиграла ваша гнусавая фигня! А те девочки которые действительно достойны, не понятно сейчас где вообще. Сходите помойте уши. И если уж уподобляетесь основному стаду, называя её лучшей, то хотя бы не приписывайте ей названия, несравненная, великая и т.д!

It is very important to know her background. This way one can appreciate her more. Diana Ankudinova was born on May 31, 2003 in Russia's far eastern Primorski Krai, north of the city of Vladivostok. Diana's birth mother had been pregnant several times before Diana, but had terminated other pregnancies before Diana was born.
When Diana was 3 years old, she was dropped off at a bus stop on a winter's day with a broken collarbone. Diana's biological aunt rescued Diana from the street but was unable to care for the traumatized child. Diana's aunt disclosed to the local prosecutor that Diana had been abused, and it was decided that the young Diana would be transferred to the Ussuriysk orphanage, which took care of abandoned young children.
At the age of four and a half, Diana's speech was stuttered, and this, combined with other problems, was causing her speech to become extremely weak. Speech pathologists recommended that she be given singing lessons to improve her general speech and vocal skills. She quickly discovered that she loved to sing.
Alexander Varnamov, the conductor of the city of Arsenyev, was the first to say that Diana had an extraordinary and very beautiful voice, as well as an excellent musical ear. He predicted that Diana would have a great future as a singer.
Diana's trainers noticed her unique vocal abilities as Diana sang. Alexander Varnamov made an agreement with Elena Kazantseva, the head of the vocal pop ensemble "Zhemchuzhinki" (Pearl), to accept Diana as a collective. Diana also sang in the duet "Malinki" under the direction of Elena Kazantseva.
Diana entered the Elegance vocal and choreographic school under the guidance of Anna Pekhtereva in the city of Arsenyev.

Diana said this is the easiest song in her catalogue to sing. She was using the set up she was given when she won the contest. You will be impressed with her songs. She has a section with English subtitles. Her Russian folk song she covered when she was 14 years old is a world class performance. The version from HTB is the best. She has such a unique way of singing and sounds so different from anyone else. I think that is one of the things I like most about her. Between the ages of 14-15 years old, her voice dropped 2 octaves.
