    One tip I can offer Sis, is to make a large batch of your ginger & garlic seasoning! I'm Haitian & we have a similar seasoning but we use scallion, parsley, thyme, garlic, black pepper, salt & a spicy pepper like scotch bonnet or habanero.
    You can easily freeze it into cubes & leave a container full in your fridge, to use whenever. As a busy mom & Chef - it's a life saver!

We add either chicken, beef or even pork with beans, carrots, pumpkin, coconut milk and seasonings. Its our version of Jollof and its great.

      I Let it thaw out completely in advance so it doesn't stay too long in the microwave. I sometimes thaw overnight what I want for the next day, allow it to stand at room temperature before I eat it and only warm it up for three to four minutes. The colder the food, the longer in the microwave and that kills it. Also I never warm liquids like soups and stews in the microwave, only on the stove.

Do you have a video for your compose? I would love to start putting my food waste too. I don’t know how to start it or what to put in the compose.

    Kwankyewaa, these videos are really inspiring. I was about to ask about the glass bowls as to whether the don't break when frozen but I think I have my answers. Well done 👏🏽

    • @lisramirez1959
      @lisramirez1959 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not, all glass bowls can be frozen.
      Make sure to be aware of that when you buy them for that purpose.
      Or if you have some at home but don't know if they are able to be frozen.
      Then don't use those.
      Some are just for saving in the refrigerator.
      I have both kinds and know .
      My daughter accidentally put one that's not for freezer and cracked good we found out it happened almost right away.
      And I told her to check before because not all are freezer safe.
      Ass well as not all glass bowls are for hot food either or microwave Safe. It also happened to my daughter 4 days ago..
      Now she's aware of that too.
      Good luck.and be safe using glassware.
      Have a Blessed day 🙏😇

    • @Ettie3
      @Ettie3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@queenododo4499 there’s a lot of studies showing that heating up plastic or eating warm food in plastic (even leaving bottles of water in a hot car) is not good for our health (chemicals). It’s stressful to think about because plastic is everywhere but If you can use glass to store food, that is best

      @@queenododo4499 You have to get a special borosilicate glass food container it is resistant to being frozen + being cooked in the oven. 🙂 You also have to make sure the cover has silicone around it so it’s air tight.
