Brilliant video, thank you. It answered two questions for me. How to install the bed and how to install the floor! Thank you!

Wish I would’ve found this before going with the cip1 POS rock and roll bed.
Going to end up swapping out for this one later in the year.

Hi great vid, a question for you. When the seat is folded out into the bed position and level , what is the height difference between rear bulkhead flooring and top of bed base ?
I'd of thought the top of bed base would sit level with the rear bulkhead floor and not higher.
Would be grateful of a reply a d explanation.
    Keep up the good work.

Nice video, did you make a Video on securing the seat base to the frame? I just ordered a vw heritage frame, I didn't know about rusty Lee at the time are the similar? Just wondering how the seat base and back are held on

I noticed when frame pulled out for the bed, it looked about 4 -5 inched higher than the rear luggage/parcel shelf area! Will you then need to raise that section of your bed?

Hi from Spain. You are doing and amazing job, and thanks for sharing so many useful tips. Could I ask for the measurement of the floor wooden piece? And what kind of good would you suggest to use? I'll be starting this same conversion in a couple of weeks on my T3 with a Westfalia High Top. On the other hand, would you apply dead sounding, the thermo van linner and the thermo fleece to the High Top, or only the 2 last layers? Thanks again

Great video, thanks for the series it’s really helping me out. Do you the measurements for the floor area? I need to order some ply cut to size as I don’t have the space to cut a piece of that size.

wheres the follow up video for how you held the boards to the actual seat? I couldnt find it . am about to buy this seat and just want to know everything thats involved first :)

Can this be manipulated into being an adjustable bench seat? Seeing as it is balancing on two front legs. I wonder where two other legs could go that wouldn't interfere with the conversion into a bed?

Great Vid, Leigh. Am purchasing a 3/4 Rusty lee next month for our T3, and will will be fitting it then, so am researching it at the moment on how to install in a T3. Will a 3/4 also sit higher on the engine bay and therefore incur myself having to build a platform on top of the engine bay, if so any recommendations for that ?? Cheers Steve

Thanks for the video. Perfect timing as this is our job for the day! Only issue is we could only get hold of ply from b&q so need to put three boards in. Would you recommend I seat them across the van or front to back.

Really enjoying the series and we'll be embarking on a similar refit once we've got a bit more money... An off subject question though, where can I get some decent wing mirrors for my T25? The guy I bought it from had some Corrado mirrors on it, so I bought some new after market mirrors from a reputable site. They a lot rubbish though, they just point down after I go over a few speed bump even though I've taken them off a couple of times and tightened them up. Are there any other van mirrors that are compatible? Cheers

I would suggest looking at using landrover defender mirrors. I beleive sunflower campers (or similar) supply brackets to bolt on defender mirrors

@@alexhardcastle5951 agree with Leigh, speak to jon mansbridge at Sunflower Campers, he sent us Land rover mirrors and brackets and they are the Dogs, no folding in anymore and better viewing from them.

Standard T25 mirrors aka flappy mirrors can easily be fixed. Internally there's a single nut holding the mirror tight, and it can over time work itself loose. The solution I've found is to tighten the nut, then add a second nut and tighten it onto the first (try to avoid over-tightening the original nut). The two nuts together prevent them from undoing.

Nice job pity it's not strong enough to have seatbelts, it might be strong enough if the seatbelts are attached to the van I wonder

Its not designed in any way to have belts. We have a video coming showing you how to fit belts to these Van's. Leigh

Why would anyone want to have that thing in their van? You need a full storage box under your bed there for all you gear and solar rig.

Maybe people dont want a full camper? Maybe a weekender for example... :) What you want might not be the same as someone else wants :)
