    I got an 06 sti last October and its been fun! Its rough tho, so I bought it knowing I need to dump some money into it to get it as clean as I want it. So far so good!

    I bought a 2006 STI back in 2015 with 12k miles on it. It had signs of a bad piston. Swapped out pistons and drove it 16k miles and went ahead and installed a new Type RA block on it. Currently at 33k miles
    Still looks and drives like a brand new car 👍🏼 Love It ❤

    I’m building my 2006 Sti right now on my channel! And I loved it before and always have. But I got to say I’m enjoying it more with its mods. Made the whole experience so much better and it was already fun before:) I want to keep it forever.

    I totally agree with the no wave thing. 10 yrs ago you couldn’t go anywhere without a wave especially when I had my
    Bugeye idk why but people really liked that car.

    • @boostfeed_
      @boostfeed_  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea my 2008 hatchback got so many waves, even my bugeye got quite a few as well. The Hawkeye just doesn’t seem to get many unfortunately

    Bought my 07 in 2010 with 11k miles. It's tastefully modded. And it truly has been a great joy in my life. Just don't make many cars that are this raw feeling anymore.

    How much you think a salvaged STI (2005) goes for with no engine but good tranny. This guy I know wants to get rid of it but how much do think it’s value? Ball park? Thank for your time!

    • @boostfeed_
      @boostfeed_  ปีที่แล้ว

    I drive an 06 STi as well. And I have come to the conclusion as to why the Hawkeyes dont get the wave as much as the bug or Blob eye subies... Its because other subie drivers are jealous of the Hawkeye. ;) And side note, I agree you dont need 600hp to have a fun driving car. I've learned that its more fun to drive a slower car fast than it is to drive a really fast car slow.

    • @boostfeed_
      @boostfeed_  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha the Hawkeyes are so desirable I bet you’re right. I have to agree that driving a slow car fast and way more fun than driving a fast car slow

    2012 STi hatchback with 125,000 miles on original everything here. Best car I've ever had, never had an issue with it. Got it for $20,000 with 69k on it. Since i've put a bigger radiator, intercooler, and IAG AOS. No oil burn, leaks or anything. Cars are only as good as the owner.
