学名: Sasakia charonda
場所: 岐阜県御嵩町
オオムラサキは日本の国蝶に指定されている有名な蝶ですが、実際に見たことのある人はほとんどいないと思います。
岐阜県にもいくつか有名な産地がありましたが、どこも開発でニュータウンと工業団地とゴルフ場になってしまい、今では確実に見られる場所はほとんどありません。
私の場合は、中学生の頃に愛知県の香嵐渓で見て以来です。
The Great Purple Emperor (Sasakia charonda) is a famous butterfly, designated as the national butterfly of Japan. However, I believe that most people have never actually seen one.
There were several famous habitats for the Great Purple Emperor in Gifu Prefecture, but they have been developed into new towns, industrial parks, and golf courses, so there are now very few places where they can reliably be seen.
For me, it was the first time seeing one since I spotted it at Korankei in Aichi Prefecture when I was a middle school student.
