Last year I found multiple groups of lakers around a small basin with pieces or structure all around it. The moods of the different groups changed dramatically over a surprisingly short distance. One group would chase but not bite and we spent too long trying to convince them otherwise. Moved a couple hundred feet and they had zero interest. Completely inactive. Then just 300’ away we couldn’t get our lures to the bottom without getting crushed. Constant double headers. Now I stay about 10 mins over a school and if they’re not biting I’ll find another school.
Bro, story of my life today. Just spent like 6 hours out jigging, and probably interacted with at least 30 lake trout. They would almost all chase real hawt, up and down, but only one would commit. Even that one, I only had by the stinger hook. Bonus though, it was on one of those ninja black tubes from drop time tackle. I ordered some as soon as I saw your video this winter using those puppies.
Congrats man...did anyone ever buy up Norm's next door?? Closed up? Shoulda entained an offer back then..myself i mean lol. Can't wait to book and fish the Cranberries on open water. Tight lines
